Abstract

One of the key strategies for tourism and hospitality recovery post-Covid-19 is communicating the Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) policy. CHSE policy ensures that tourism actors and tourists conduct a new tourism culture that coalesced with the global pandemic. Therefore, the current study offers a study case reviewing the communication of CHSE policy in Bromo Tengger Semeru (BTS) tourist areas. BTS is designated as one of the Indonesian government's national tourism strategic areas or New Bali with priority status. We reviewed published tourism and hospitality literature pandemic-related articles to meet our research objectives and conducted in-depth interviews with BTS community leaders. Based on the results, we identified that the communication of CHSE policy in the BTS area applies an ideation communication strategy, emphasising instructional, directional, and non-directional communication patterns. These communication patterns are implemented through the three categories of policy instruments that consider the people's cognitive, emotional, and social aspects of the BTS.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pemerintah desa wisata di wilayah BTS (Bromo Tengger Semeru) mengkomunikasikan penggunaan protokol kesehatan berbasis Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment Sustainability (CHSE) selama pandemi COVID-19. Aktivitas komunikasi pemerintah desa menjadi penting untuk ditelusuri mengingat pariwisata menjadi sektor paling terpuruk pasca pandemi COVID-19. Penerapan protokol kesehatan yang telah terstandarisasi merupakan upaya bersama dalam penanganan dan pemulihan ekonomi nasional pada sektor vital, seperti pariwisata. Kebijakan protokol kesehatan berbasis CHSE merupakan sebuah budaya baru yang perlu diperkenalkan kepada pelaku wisata sehingga dapat diterima dengan baik oleh masyarakat setempat. Sebagai pejabat setempat, pemerintah desa di wilayah Bromo Tengger Semeru bertanggung jawab dalam mengkomunikasikan protokol kesehatan berbasis CHSE sehingga pemulihan ekonomi desa wisata dapat berjalan dengan aman di tengah pandemi COVID-19. Karena penelitian ini berfokus menggali dan mengidentifikasi pengalaman dari bagaimana pejabat desa wisata di wilayah Bromo Tengger Semeru dalam mengkomunikasikan protokol kesehatan berbasis CHSE pada masa pandemi COVID-19 kepada pelaku wisata setempat maka metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah fenomenologi dengan tipe penelitian eksploratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dalam aktivitas komunikasi, pemerintah desa di wilayah Bromo Tengger Semeru berfokus pada strategi pengembangan protokol CHSE. Pemerintah desa di wilayah Bromo Tengger Semeru mempertimbangkan ketersediaan sumber informasi yang kredibel, mengurangi perasaan negatif akibat ketidakpastian, persuasi terhadap tindakan mitigasi, dan konsistensi penyampaian pesan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a development strategy for the Sumenep Palace Museum as a cultural tourism des-tination in Sumenep Regency. The research approach uses qualitative case studies, SWOT analysis, IFAS/EFAS matrix and TOWS matrix preparation. Data collection was carried out by interviewing museum managers and local communities, as well as observing the location of the Sumenep Palace Museum. Tourism Sumenep Pal-ace Museum has a historical building that is still maintained, but public facilities still need to be improved. People are still highly interested in the Palace Museum, and the threat is losing competitiveness with other tours, so   people are bored visiting the museum. It is found that the Sumenep Palace Museum is located in quadrant 1, which is an aggressive strategy, meaning that it has the potential for development. The devel-opment strategy that can be applied is to collaborate with artists/culturalists, education institution, and young people to enliven the museum by holding art/cultural performances regularly and maximizing the role of so-cial media with influencers in promoting Sumenep Palace Museum tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of local wisdom in the imaging strategy of Tuban, East Java, after the Covid-19 pandemic. It is crucial to explore the understanding of implementing local wisdom in the imaging strategy of Tuban, East Java, after the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, the theories used include the theory of city branding, city imaging strategies, and local wisdom. These three theories become the basis for understanding and explaining the implementation of local wisdom in the imaging strategy of the city of Tuban, East Java. The results showed that Tuban Regency carried out various city imaging efforts. Implementing local wisdom in urban imaging strategies includes history, processes, stakeholders, city branding elements, and events. The research model on the implementation of local wisdom in the imaging strategy of Tuban City is closely related to history, which includes branding initiatives in the city vision, tradition and culture, city regulations, and city vision.

Abstract

Artikel ini ditulis guna mengetahui dampak dan kontribusi Festival Teluk Jailolo dalam kerangka keberlanjutan pariwisata. Metode yang digunakan pada penulisan ini adalah analisis dokumen, dimana informasi dan data-data yang didapatkan dari hasil membaca literatur dan mengevaluasi artikel-artikel sebelumnya mengenai topik terkait. Sumber data yang digunakan berasal dari sumber data sekunder dan penilaian umum terhadap keberlanjutan dan kontribusi lokal dilakukan dengan menggunakan informasi yang diperoleh. Tinjauan ini mengeksplorasi Festival Teluk Jailolo, dampaknya terhadap komunitas lokal dan promosi praktek berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh, festival berdampak positif terhadap wilayah tempat diadakannya festival tersebut secara ekonomi, sosial, dan budaya. Dalam konteks ini, saran untuk keberlanjutan dan peningkatan kontribusi positif festival lokal telah dikemukakan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

AbstrakPesatnya perkembangan teknologi menciptakan perubahan yang tidak hanya terjadi di masyarakat, tetapi lini bisnis juga ikut berubah. Penggunaan media online oleh praktisi humas dapat membuat peluang sekaligus tantangan baru yang harus dihadapi dalam menjalankan fungsinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus yang berfokus pada peran humas PTPN XI dalam menggunakan media online sebagai channel komunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara tugas pokok dan fungsi humas PTPN XI berfokus kepada stakeholder eksternal, sehingga media sosial dan website perusahan lebih ditujukan kepada stakeholder eksternal. Pemanfaatan media online menciptakan peluang baru dalam hal efektifitas dan efisiensi, seperti berkomunikasi dengan stakeholder, merawat citra perusahaan, dan mengedukasi nilai sejarah PTPN XI dan perkebunan. Sementara tantangan yang dihadapi disebabkan oleh dua faktor, yaitu faktor manajemen perusahaan dan faktor ketika pelaksanaan. Kontribusi yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi bagi PTPN XI untuk mengoptimalkan peran humas dalam penggunaan media online dengan cara segera melakukan rekrutmen karyawan untuk posisi humas dan menyediakan inventaris alat yang dapat menunjang seluruh kegiatan kehumasan.

Abstract

The festival is one of the activities aimed at preserving a culture. There are many different cultural festivals in Indonesia, including the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF), which is a major annual event. This festival showcases the beauty of flowers and ornamental plants from all over Indonesia and from other countries as well. The purpose of this research is to analyze the symbols and meanings such as flowers, traditional clothing, dance, and music that are used to strengthen local identity and provide a unique experience for visitors. The methodology used in this research is a case study conducted on the festival held in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observation of several individuals involved in the event, such as visitors, participants, and organizers. The results show that TIFF has various cultural symbols and meanings that represent the identity of Tomohon City. Symbolic interactionism communication at the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) also creates a positive atmosphere and strengthens social relationships among them. It can be concluded that symbolic interactionism communication plays a significant role in understanding social interaction in the context of a festival. Abstract

Kenjeran has strengths in the fisheries sector which has great potential to be developed as tourism with unique culinary delights, considering the abundant diversity of processed seafood. This research aims to explore opportunities for developing Kenjeran using Community-Based Tourism (CBT) theory and the 4A components, namely Attraction, Accessibility, Amenity, Ancillary.  The method used in this research is a qualitative method with thematic analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this research indicate that Kenjeran has implemented community-based tourism. However, it remains at the fifth level, namely approval, as the extent of citizen participation in decision-making is still not entirely clear. Meanwhile, the results of the SWOT analysis show that the location of the quadrant point is in a very profitable aggressive strategy (growth-oriented strategy) position. This strategy can focus on increasing local community participation, particularly through education in tourism management and governance, ensuring the fishermen’s active involvement in decision-making processes. The active fishing community is positioned as a central element in managing tourism activities, such as culinary tourism and maritime festivals. In addition, external threats like competition from other destinations and environmental concerns are addressed by adopting sustainable tourism practices, including eco-tourism and infrastructure development aligned with environmental conservation principles.

Abstract

The Bank Indonesia Library in Surabaya acts as a manager of knowledge and education for the community. When visiting the Bank Indonesia Library in Surabaya, users will notice the quality of space and public services. Library services are an attraction for users to visit. This study aims to determine the factors that cause antecedents of visitor’s intention to revisit the Bank Indonesia Library in Surabaya through an analysis of the relationship between visitor happiness, public services, quality of public space, and the intention to return to the library. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design in the form of a questionnaire distributed directly and indirectly to library visitors. The results showed that the quality of public space significantly and positively affected visitor satisfaction, confirming the importance of public space in improving user experience. However, the quality of public services did not show a significant effect on visitor satisfaction, indicating the presence of other more dominant factors. In addition, both the quality of public space and public services did not have a significant indirect effect on intention to revisit when mediated by visitor satisfaction. Improving the quality of public space is important so that service quality can influence visitor behavior. This study concludes that the quality of public space is a major factor in visitor satisfaction, while public services require further improvement to increase their contribution to satisfaction and intention to revisit.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze brand trust in the era of media convergence at the tourism office of PT His Tour And Travel Bali. Research using qualitative research methods is descriptive, because the interview technique. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display and conclusion of brand characteristics, and company characteristics are used as measuring tools in building brand trust. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics and company characteristics in building a brand truss at PT His Tour And Travel Bali have a good impact on the company, therefore PT His Tour and Travel Bali must continue to increase brand trust by paying attention to brand characteristics and company characteristics that have a positive impact on the company.
