Abstract

This article is written to describe the students' difficulties in learning to listen in class X. This study aims to reveal the difficulties of listening comprehension by students and strategies to overcome listening difficulties in the English class. This research has been conducted at Senior High School, Selogudik Wetan, Pajarakan-Probolinggo. This study used descriptive and qualitative research. This research design refers to the tradition of ethnographic study research. Participants in this research were two student from 16 students. The researcher used the fill-in-the blank strategy to evaluate and validate the data. The researcher conducted observations by collecting data through documentation and conducting interviews with English-language students. The results of this study show that students have difficulties listening and have strategies to overcome these problems. These difficulties include a lack of vocabulary, speaking speed, accent, concentration, and motivation. In addition, the strategy used is to fill in the blank, which involves listening to an audio song and completing the missing lyrics by filling in the vocabulary of the lyrics. The conclusion of the research is that difficulties in listening can hinder student success. As well as strategies that can help students overcome listening difficulties. However, this research is expected to be developed by further researchers. Key Word: student's difficulties; listening comprehension,;EFL learning.

Abstract

Teknik pemeliharaan software adalah segala metode yang berhubungan dengan aktivitas untuk menjaga life-cycle sebuah software. Survey yang dilakukan terhadap teknik pemeliharaan software sudah pernah dilakukan oleh peneliti sebelumnya termasuk Lientz, Swanson, dll. Survey kali ini mengangkat latar belakang masalah yang berbeda; yaitu pesatnya perkembangan jenis teknik pemeliharaan yang tidak sebanding dengan kepastian tingkat akurasi, keefektifan penggunaan serta cost yang harus dikeluarkan. Survey yang dimaksud bertujuan untuk memberikan tinjauan komprehensif kepada pembaca tentang kegunaan, kelebihan, kekurangan teknik-teknik pemeliharaan software dalam penelitian kurun waktu 1978-2020. Metode survey yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review terhadap paper significant yang membahas isu terkait. Manfaat yang diharapkan, dapat memberikan pembaca gambaran dan pilihan penggunaan teknik pemeliharaan yang tepat guna untuk masalah pemeliharaan yang mereka hadapi. Survey menghasilkan 24 jenis teknik software. Tujuh diantaranya (reverse engineering, corrective, perfective, adaptive, restructuring, model maintenance, reengineering) masuk ke dalam klasifikasi teknik yang paling sering dibahas dalam penelitian kurun waktu 1978-2020. Dari hasil survey tersebut, didapatkan temuan berupa rekomendasi pilihan teknik pemeliharaan untuk contoh kasus Pembuatan framework maintenance, Pemeliharaan pada aplikasi berbasis web, dan Pemeliharaan Cryptologic System.

Abstract

Pendidikan hak asasi manusia (HAM) merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam membentuk generasi muda yang menghargai nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dan memahami hak-hak dasar setiap individu. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di sekolah dasar menjadi sarana yang tepat untuk mengintegrasikan pendidikan HAM dalam kurikulum pendidikan. Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi pendidikan HAM melalui pembelajaran PKn di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai literatur terkait, termasuk dokumen kebijakan, kurikulum, buku teks, dan penelitian empiris yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan HAM telah terintegrasi dalam kurikulum PKn di sekolah dasar, namun implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan pengetahuan guru, kurangnya sumber daya, dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang efektif. Studi ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan guru, pengembangan bahan ajar yang kontekstual, dan penerapan metode pembelajaran yang partisipatif untuk meningkatkan implementasi pendidikan HAM di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the strategies for utilizing reading corners to increase the reading interest of elementary school students. The low reading interest in Indonesia, which ranks 60th out of 61 countries, serves as an important backdrop for this research. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted in class IV C of SDN Pakis V Surabaya. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving the research subjects, which are the teachers and students of class IV C. Data analysis uses an interactive model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that the reading corner has been utilized well by students with a visiting frequency of 2-3 times a day for 15-20 minutes. The reading corner has a significant positive impact on students' interest in learning and reading, marked by changes in reading habits that are more independent, an increase in public speaking skills, a broadening of knowledge, improvement in academic grades, and achievements in literacy competitions. Supporting factors for success include the support of the principal, the active role of teachers, parental support, the availability of 65 books with various types, and the effectiveness of the 15-minute reading program. However, there are inhibiting factors such as limited space, lack of updates to the book collection, the absence of comfortable seating facilities, and uneven student interest in reading.

Abstract

Background: Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder characterized by disorganization of the sufferer's thoughts, feelings and thoughts. The factors, namely family knowledge regarding mental health (schizophrenia) in adherence to taking routine medication and family support, are factors that greatly influence adherence to medication in the recovery of schizophrenia patients. Purpose: To identify family members' knowledge and support for medication adherence in patients with schizophrenia. Method: A quantitative research. The research design used Cross Sectional with a purposive sampling method, and a sample of 80 people. This research instrument used the schizophrenia knowledge instrument, the family support instrument for medication adherence and the MMS A-8 instrument. Results: Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, the results showed a relationship between knowledge and medication adherence (p value 0.794) as well as a relationship between family support (p value 0.341) with medication adherence. Conclusion: There is no relationship between knowledge and adherence to taking medication and there is no relationship between family support in schizophrenia patients in the working area of the Cadasari Health Center, Pandeglang Regency. Abstract

Introduction: Many young athletes joined football schools (SSB) to gain and improve their skills, aiming to participate further in high-level competitions. However, most SSB management lacked comprehension of sports sciences, essential to support young athletes' growth and development and improved sports performance. This program aimed to improve coaches' and parents' knowledge and attitudes towards sports sciences and its implementation in SSB. Methods: Involving representatives from 13 SSBs in Sleman, an integrated training on sports sciences comprising of long-term athlete development (LTAD), nutrition and psychological development for young athletes, coaching program, and management of SSB was carried out. Knowledge was measured before and after training using questionnaires consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQ). A focus group discussion (FGD) was also conducted to assess participants' knowledge and attitudes about implementing sports sciences in SSB. Changes in knowledge scores were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: Thirty-five participants completed both pre-test and post-test, whereas only 17 participated in the FGD. The mean score during the post-test increased significantly by 12.71 points compared to the pre-test (74.29 vs. 61.58, p<0.05) with increased passing rate (57.14% vs 25.71%). Individual's change in knowledge improved by 28.83%. As stated during FGD, participants believed in the benefits of implementing sports sciences on athletes' growth and development, health, well-being, and performance. They also believed in the possibility of implementation, considering the growing number of licensed coaches. However, the inhibiting factors might be a lack of capable human resources, funding, readiness, and knowledge. Fortunately, a few SSBs reported having partially implemented sports sciences, and all SSBs are willing to start implementing sports sciences by educating all involved parties regarding sports sciences. Conclusion: These findings concluded the program's success and the promising possibility of sports sciences implementation in SSB.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a non-natural disaster that not only affects physical health but also has an impact on the mental and psychological health of the community. Disturbed psychological conditions can affect the immunity of the human body to fight viruses, as well as the ability to think clearly so that they cannot pay attention to a healthy lifestyle. Students in higher education are also feeling the impact and consequences of COVID-19. Unpreparedness and confusion of students in taking part in online lectures along with a pile of assignments can cause anxiety, especially during the pandemic. Anxiety in students with distance learning, especially with the covid-19 pandemic, can cause ongoing anxiety and impact student achievement and the inability of students to fulfill their roles and obligations if they are not immediately controlled and handled. This study used a cross-sectional design, with the aim of knowing the anxiety factors of students during the pandemic in 2020. The study was conducted in October - December 2020 with a population of students from the Tangerang Nursing Department, Poltekkes Kemenkes Banten. The sampling method used was simple random sampling totaling 93 people. The results showed that fewer than some respondents experienced anxiety 25 respondents (26.9%), and the statistical test analysis showed that domicile, lecture assignments, physical distancing, and lecture facilities had no significant relationship with student anxiety in learning during the pandemic.

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy and childbirth have an important role because of their enormous influence on human growth and development. Although there have been efforts to improve maternal health through various government programs, these efforts have only touched the physical aspect and have not yet made efforts to improve the psychosocial and psychiatric aspects of pregnant women. This is important because the growth and cognitive and emotional development of children are closely related to the mother's psychiatric problems during pregnancy. One of the efforts that can be done is an information program to educate individuals with emotional problems to be able to maintain homeostasis against unexpected changes or events that occur gradually, helping members cope with stress in life, focusing on dysfunctions of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors known as Therapeutic Group Therapy. Method: This research design uses quasi-experiments. The study subjects were taken by quota sampling, the sample of this study was pregnant women in the Kunciran Baru Health Center area of Tangerang City. The number of samples was 24 people. Data analysis using T-dependent test. Results: the statistical test obtained a P value of 0.024 (P value ≤ 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average delivery readiness of the intervention group and the control group.
