Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan guru dalam penerapan MGMP. Untuk mengetahui peranan guru matematika dalam mencapai guru professional. Untuk mengetahui peranan MGMP terhadap profesionalitas guru matematika.Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yaitu mendeskripsikan peranan musyawarah guru mata pelajaran (MGMP) terhadap kompetensi guru matematika di tingkat SMA. Fokus penelitian ini adalah: peranan MGMP terhadap kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi professional, dan kompetensi sosial guru matematika di SMA. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru-guru yang mengajar di SMA negeri 1 Sungguminasa yang aktif mengikuti kegiatan MGMP. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri. dikarenakan, peneliti sendiri yang merencanakan apa saja yang ditanyakan kepada subyek penelitian dalam wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, tes penguasaan dan wawancara yang dilakukan kepada subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi teknik dengan teknik analisis data yang dilakukan adalah menggunakan analisis perbandingan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan MGMP berperan bagi kompetensi pedagogik guru, yang ditandai dengan kemampuan subjek menjelaskan unsur-unsur yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi pedagogik. Kemudian kegiatan MGMP memiliki peran pada kompetensi kepribadian subjek yang ditandai dari kemampuan subjek memahami manfaat dari kegiatan MGMP pada subjek, dan mampu memahami kelebihan dan kekurangan MGMP. Peran MGMP terhadap kompetensi sosial ditandai dari kemampuan subjek menjaga hubungan komunikasi yang baik terhadap sesama guru, pada pimpinan, dan pada peserta didik. Serta kemampuan subjek memahami masalah dan kondisi peserta didik termasuk kompetensi sosial subjek. Peran MGMP terhadap kompetensi professional subjek ditandai dari kemampuan peserta didik memahami materi pelajaran yang diajarkan, kemampuan menambah wawasan pengetahuan subjek. Hal inilah yang menunjukkan bahwa MGMP memberikan peranan yang penting bagi kompetensi Guru. Kata kunci: MGMP, Kompetensi pedagogik, sosial, kepribadian, profesional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak strategi probing-prompting terhadap penalaran matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one-group pre-test post-test. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Merauke sebanyak 32 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Z. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor Gain-Score sebesar 0,68, yang termasuk dalam kategori menengah. Rata-rata skor pre-test sebesar 38,44, dan rata-rata skor post-test sebesar 80,66. Analisis uji-Z menghasilkan atau 16,799 > 1,645. Artinya ditolak, maka hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa lebih baik setelah diterapkan pendekatan probing-prompting.

Abstract

This research discusses several problems found in the field, studying the learning process that is still dominated by the teacher, avoiding student participation in active learning activities, increasing student motivation in learning, and increasing collaboration between students. This research was conducted in one of the State Junior High Schools located in Makassar City, Indonesia in the academic year 2017/2018 which aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of investigative group learning models. The research subjects were students of class VIII with 31 students. This class action research consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of 3 meetings and 1 cycle test. Information related to student activities is collected using observation sheets and information related to student abilities is collected using tests given at the end of the cycle. Obtaining a score for cycle 1 is 70.48 with a completeness level of 70.79% and a score for cycle 2 is 76.32 with a completeness level of 87.1%. After applying learning with the investigation stage the group showed an increase in activity and the ability of students in the second cycle that was supported had reached classical completeness by 75%

Abstract

This research is motivated by variuous ways in students absorb, organize and process information received, such as there are students easier to remember the material given visually than auditory or vice, there are students who difficult to write, but good telling stories, there are students who easily disturbed by noise, there are students can't sit still for a long time and there are students prefer practical activities. This study is a comparative to determine differences in learning styles between male and female students at SMP Yapis Merauke. The research sample amounted to 80 students. Data was collected from a learning style questionnaire and analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Descriptive analysis shows dominant male students had auditory and dominant female students had a visual learning style. Inferential analysis with the Anova test showed a significant value of p=0,00 (p<0,05), which means a difference between the learning styles of males and females

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of describing the profile of the basic mathematical abilities of grade VIII junior high school students. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with the subject of class VIII students at one of the State Middle Schools in Merauke, totaling 33 students. The data collection instrument used basic mathematics ability test questions which totaled 20 multiple choice questions. To analyze the data obtained, the steps consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions were used using Miles and Huberman's analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that the basic math abilities of grade VIII students were moderate. With the highest basic mathematical abilities in the elements of numbers and the lowest in elements of geometry

Abstract

The development of technology has a significant impact on education, one of the innovative learning methods that can be applied in the digital era is augmented reality. The topic of atomic structure is one of the difficult subjects to understand and needs visualization so the development of augmented reality learning media is required. Augmented reality developed for the atomic structure topic is tailored to the needs of students, accompanied by sample questions, and materials, and can be accessed online or offline using Android. This research aims to determine the feasibility, including the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of augmented reality learning media on the atomic structure topic in an Android application. This development research method uses the ADDIE model of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research instruments include validation sheets, interview guidelines, questionnaires, and pre-test & post-test exams that have been validated. The research sample consists of 90 eighth-grade students from SMPN 2 Merauke. The final result of this developmental research is a product in the form of an augmented reality atomic structure learning media application that is suitable for use and can be accessed through Android without an internet connection. The feasibility of the developed learning media is based on validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The material validation result is 82% (very valid) while the media validation is 80% (valid). The practicality test results average 84% (efficient). The effectiveness test results with an N-gain of 0.76 (high) and a percentage of 76% fall into the effective category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the product is suitable for use and there is an improvement in student understanding using augmented reality learning media.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa kelas XI MA Al-Hikmah Merauke dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis pada materi program linear berdasarkan kriteria Kesalahan Watson. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu siswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu siswa berkemampuan sedang, dan satu siswa berkemampuan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat jenis kesalahan yang sering dilakukan siswa yaitu: (1) Pada kelompok kemampuan tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan yaitu data tidak tepat, data hilang dan kesimpulan hilang. Faktor yang menjadi penyebab kesalahannya yaitu siswa kurang teliti dalam menggunakan data serta kurang teliti dalam membaca perintah soal. (2) Pada kelompok kemampuan sedang dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa yaitu data tidak tepat, data hilang, prosedur tidak tepat, manipulasi tidak langsung, masalah hierarki keterampilan dan kesimpulan hilang. Faktor yang menjadi penyebab kesalahannya yaitu siswa kurang memahami soal dengan baik, siswa kurang memahami konsep, serta kurang teliti dan terburu-buru dalam proses pengerjaannya. (3) Pada kelompok kemampuan rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal komunikasi matematis jenis kesalahan yang dilakukannya yaitu data tidak tepat, prosedur tidak tepat, kesimpulan hilang masalah hierarki keterampilan, dan konflik level respon. Faktor yang menjadi penyebab kesalahannya yaitu siswa kurang memahami maksud soal dengan baik, kurangnya pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki siswa, serta kurangnya keterampilan siswa dalam menghitung.

Abstract

Understanding of mathematics concept is the most important resolution in learning where students not only memorize the material but can understand and apply it in their daily lives. The ELPSA learning model can improve students' understanding of concepts through learning experiences, developing communication, presenting images in the form of visualizations, symbolizing in general terms, and as the application of the knowledge that has been obtained (application). This study aims to produce a product in the form of an ELPSA-based Student Worksheet that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, effective and has the potential to improve students' conceptual understanding. The method of this research is a 4D development model which is modified into 3D (Define, Design, and Develop). data collection instruments consist of observations, questionnaires and tests. This research produces valid, practical and effective student worksheets that can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The results of this study indicate that the student worksheets are valid with good criteria. The student response questionnaire are 85.6% so it can be concluded that the student worksheets used are practical and can be used in learning. The effectiveness of obtaining a posttest average value of 87.06 with a percentage of 92.5% of students declared complete in learning. Student worksheets are said to be effective if student learning outcomes are declared complete. Mastery learning classically is said to be effective if it has reached 75% of the total number of students. Finally, student worksheets can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts seen from the pretest and posttest questions that have been given. Student worksheets that have been applied can be a contribution for teachers to improve students' mathematical understanding in learning.

Abstract

The implementation of teacher-focused learning cause students' mathematical problem-solving abilities is low, thus requiring more effective and innovative learning. The purpose of this study was to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in vocational high schools with the Problem Based Learning model. Design method in this study used classroom action research and its implementation was two cycles, with each cycle being carried out twice face-to-face. The implementation of the study included planning, implementing actions, observation and reflection to ensure that each step received an in-depth evaluation. Data collection techniques involved direct observation, giving tests, and documenting learning activities. This study showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The percentage of learning completion increased from 53% to 84%. The findings of this study concluded that the implementation of the PBL model was effectively able to foster students' mathematical problem-solving abilities
