Abstract

The new normal for nurses is a push to revitalize the profession, especially for emergency nurses. Many patients with COVID-19 will be asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic. The role of Emergency Nurses as frontline in Pandemic have to adaptation with new standard for guideline personal protection equipment. The purpose of this study was to discuss the role of Emergency Nursing in in new normal adaptation during pandemic of Covid-19. This is a theoretical reflection based on the scientific literature. The pandemic emphasizes the importance of nursing care for the preservation of life and the right to health, and the Nursing Now Campaign echoes the demand for recognition of nursing practitioners who are at the frontline fighting of the COVID-19. Nursing practitioners have vital role as care giver, educator, advocacy, researcher and agent of change. Emergency of nursing have vital role in new normal adaptation as frontline. Nursing must consider its own worth, expand its potential for lifelong learning role as care giver, educator, advocacy and researcher, and be mindful be agent of change.

Abstract

The socialization related to the prevention of COVID-19 in the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia is a form of concern for the academic community of the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia in dealing with the spread of COVID-19 in the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia. This activity was carried out on August 20, 2021 at the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia campus. The implementation was attended by 90% of the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia academic community. This is because the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia academic community did not attend this event due to illness and was on guard at the Security Post to maintain security. The process of implementing this socialization activity was carried out for 3 weeks, starting from the coordination process of community service implementers, preparation, up to the evaluation of the implementation of the socialization activities. The activity went smoothly and the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia academics were very enthusiastic in participating in the implementation of this socialization activity. The entire Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia academic community who participated in this socialization have been able to understand the implementation of the COVID-19 response and will carry out the implementation of the COVID-19 response in the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia and wherever they are.

Abstract

First Aid Health Promotion Activities in syncope cases at the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 3 Sidoarjo, Tulangan Sub-District, Sidoarjo District is a form of education in the form of counseling aimed at increasing adolescent knowledge about first aid methods when encountering syncope cases. The activity was held on November 15, 2018 at the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 3 Sidoarjo, Tulangan Sub-District, Sidoarjo District. With the goal is students of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 3 Sidoarjo, Tulangan Sub-District, Sidoarjo District. Before the implementation of the activity, there is a process of preparing activities for 3 weeks before the activities are carried out, starting from the selection of health counseling materials to the submission of permits to related parties. As an evaluation, the activity was attended by 35 students and 1 teacher as participants participating in the activity with enthusiasm and conduciveness, activities can be carried out on time smoothly. Keywords: Syncope, first aid health promotion, adolescent’s knowledge.

Abstract

First Aid Training in Accidents (P3K) in Youth Organization and Health Care Cadres in Rangkah Kidul Village is one form of community service in the form of counseling aimed at increasing the understanding and skills of the general public towards first aid in accidents. The implementation of these activities on December 7, 2019 took place at the Rangkah Kidul Village Hall, Sidoarjo District, Sidoarjo Regency. The target is Youth Organization and Health Cadre of Rangkah Kidul Village, Sidoarjo. Before the activity is carried out, there is a process of compiling the activity for approximately 2 months before the activity is carried out, starting from determining the theme of the training to applying for permission to the parties concerned. As a form of evaluation, the activity was attended by 28 participants consisting of Health Cadres, Youth Organization, Village Officials, Head of RT / RW, and LKMD representatives. Participants participated in the activity with enthusiasm and seemed very enthusiastic, the training activities could run on time and smoothly. Abstract

Health promotion activities regarding the first treatment of burns at Senior High School of Islam, Sidoarjo is a form of community service in the form of counseling aimed at increasing children's knowledge about how to treat first burns which are an injury incident that occurs due to exposure to high temperatures. (complex soft tissue injury). The implementation of these activities on December 18, 2019 took place at Senior High School of Islam, Sidoarjo. With the target is students of Senior High School of Islam, Sidoarjo. Prior to the implementation of these activities, there was a process of preparing activities for approximately 2 weeks before the activities were carried out, starting from determining the theme of the extension to applying for permits to the parties concerned. As a form of evaluation, this activity was attended by 47 students of class X and XI, participants joined the activity happily and looked very enthusiastic, health promotion activities could run on time and smoothly.

Abstract

Community Service activities organized by Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia, Sidoarjo in collaboration with Baitul Mal Hidayatulloh (BMH) Sidoarjo held a Health Talk Show which was broadcast live streaming on the POS DAI SIDOARJO channel with the theme "Prevention of Coronary Heart Disease Early". The Health Talk Show was held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the BMH office in Pondok Mutiara Sidoarjo. This activity was carried out in a team consisting of three lecturers of Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia, Sidoarjo, 2 students, and a team from BMH Sidoarjo. The activity was arranged by the team for two weeks, starting from determining the theme of the activity, the form of the activity, the timing of the activity, and the socialization of the activity through social media. This activity was witnessed by the wider community, especially in the Sidoarjo area. As a form of evaluation, this community service activity ran smoothly, seen 250 viewers on the YouTube channel, viewers were enthusiastic about participating in the activity by asking questions via live chat.

Abstract

The public vaccination activity carried out within the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia is a form of the active role of the academic community of the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia in dealing with Covid-19 and supports the accelerated vaccination program carried out by the Government of Indonesia. The activity will be held on September 17, 2021, at the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia Campus. The target of this vaccination activity is the academic community of the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia and the community around the campus who need vaccines, both the first and second doses. This activity was held in collaboration with the Health Polytechnic of Kerta Cendekia with the Sidoarjo District Health Office. This vaccination activity was attended by 176 people who attended to vaccinate, both the first dose and the second dose. The activity starts at 9.20 WIB and ends at 14.00 WIB. This activity has involved 9 lecturers, 4 staff, and 14 students. In addition, this activity also involved 4 alumni who acted as vaccinators. The activity ran smoothly, in an orderly manner, and still implemented physical distancing in its implementation.

Abstract

Background: Earthquake and tsunami are high risk disasters in the coastal areas of Java. The lack of psychological preparedness in coastal areas poses a threat to risk groups, especially school-aged children. Prevention efforts that can be carried out are through disaster-safe school-based programs through disaster management educational vehicles Objectives: The aim of this research was to analyze the influence of disaster-safe school-based programs on psychological preparedness in facing earthquake and tsunami disasters in school-aged children Methods: . The method used was a pre-experimental design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 54 respondents. The sample was school age children who lived on the coast of Malang Regency. The measuring tool used the Psychological Preparedness for Disaster Threat Scale (PPDTS) questionnaire. The statistical test used was the paired t-test Results: The results showed that there were differences in psychological preparedness before and after school-aged children were given a school-based program that was safe from earthquake and tsunami disasters (0.000). Conclusion: The conclusion is that there is an influence/impact of disaster-safe school-based programs on the psychological preparedness of school-aged children in facing earthquakes and tsunamis.

Abstract

Background: The use of tubectomy contraception is one way to control birth rates and improve reproductive health. Tubectomy is a permanent form of contraception that involves blocking or sealing the fallopian tubes to prevent the egg from reaching the uterus for fertilization. This article analyzes the factors that influence the use of tubectomy contraception among couples of childbearing ages. Objective: This literature review aims to identify factors that influence the use of the tubectomy method in fertile couples. Design: This research design is a literature review. Data Sources: Search for articles using three journal databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. Reviews Methods: Used PRISM flow diagram to find a total of 6 articles that meet the inclusion criteria reviewed. Results: Inclusion criteria include full text articles from 2015-2024 published from national or international journals. Article types are quasi-experimental and case studies. Five articles meet the inclusion criteria. the various techniques used in tubectomy, the benefits and risks associated with the procedure, and its effectiveness in preventing pregnancy. Tubectomy can be done through different methods. Conclusion: Tubectomy is crucial to recognize and address the social stigmas surrounding tubectomy in order to create a more supportive and understanding environment for individuals seeking this form of birth control. By promoting open dialogue and challenging misconceptions, we can work towards creating a more inclusive society where individuals feel empowered to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
