Abstract

Geographical and agricultural conditions exist in the Madura Island that the Madura Island is an area with hot temperatures and has a low rainfall. This research was conducted in the tropics with little rainfall, this study also looked at whether the location intended by the researchers could be used to carry out the process of cultivating oyster mushrooms and whether this effort could continue to be developed. This research used a qualitative paradigm approach to provide an aspect of flexibility in gathering information from informants about the development of oyster mushroom cultivation. The results of this research can be seen cultivation of white oyster mushroom can be done in lowland area with the supporting factors such as land, water resources and other support. This cultivation business can be done by all gender. The potential or business opportunities through the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms in low areas is very large because the results obtained can be doubled from the capital that must be issued by the business. Actually we can get more profit if farmers can be more creative by processing white oyster mushrooms into processed products that have added value then the farmers will also get bigger results again, not even just doubled but can be many times over. Because the real business should be able to think creative and innovative.

Abstract

Background – Rapid economic development and growth has encouraged women to participate in fulfilling household needs. So it is not surprising that nowadays we often find working women. Women who have a career when they are married will have a dual role, and this will have an impact on family management. Aim – This study aims to see the dual role of career women in carrying out family management. Design / methodology / approach – The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with interview and observation data collection techniques. Findings – The results of this study state that every woman who has multiple roles must be able to manage their lives well and divide it into four management types, namely time management, conflict management, self management and education management. If career women can manage these four managements well, their family life and career will be ideally organized. Research implication – The results of this study provide knowledge to the reader to be able to manage the organization in the family, especially for families who have multiple roles. Limitations – The focus of this study is only on women who live in urban areas.

Abstract

The number of unemployed continue to rise, people can not afford to make business that is caused by bumped capital, skills, and limited market access. In fact, positive benefits for migrant workers who work abroad are also many to get jobs, income, improve welfare and develop skills. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by making the migrant workers and former migrant workers as key informant as well as to extract the data through 3 kinds of way, interview, observation and documentation. From this research, there are many factors that influence the people of Gresik Regency to become migrant workers such as, at least the employment around them, the low level of education, the economic factor of the family, and the environment, whether from the internal family and the environment. Another thing that gained from this research is still many people who become TKI with illegal status.

Abstract

Background - The unemployment rate in East Java province is below the national average and the poverty rate in East Java province has decreased from the previous year. However, the number of Indonesian migrant workers originating from East Java ranks first nationally. Objectives - The aim of this research is to prove that there is a drive from within the community to become migrant workers. Researchers also want to find out what things make the people of East Java to become migrant workers. Design/ Methodology/ Approach - This study uses a Descriptive-Qualitative paradigm approach, with data collection techniques in the form of interviews with active and non-active Indonesian migrant workers (ex immigrants). Findings - Some of the elements that encourage people to become Indonesian immigrant workers are invitations from family, colleagues or friends, low income, economic improvement, living facilities and low education. Some of these elements are the encouragement or motivation of individuals to meet several needs in personal and social life and each individual wants to fulfill these needs in his life. Conclusion - This research produced several elements that encouraged the people of East Java, especially to become Indonesian immigrant workers, namely invitations from family, colleagues or friends, low income in Indonesia, economic improvement, living facilities and low education. Some of these elements are the encouragement or motivation of individuals to fulfill several needs in personal and social life. Research Implications - This research has important implications for the general public, Indonesian immigrant workers as well as for future research. The general public will know what things might happen when they become immigrant workers, and how the immigrants survive in other countries in order to improve their family's economic standard. Immigrant workers can meet their needs in life, while further researchers can dig deeper into other elements that encourage immigrant workers to work abroad. Research Limitations - This research was conducted only in certain areas. The northern region is represented by the northern coastal area of ​​Lamongan, the southern region is represented by Trenggalek Regency, the western region is represented by Ngawi Regency, and finally the eastern region is represented by Sumenep Regency and prioritizes the small island in Sumenep, namely Sapudi Island.
