Abstract

This research aims to implement Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) in the web-based video streaming application JBTV using HTTP Live Streaming (HLS). ABR is a technique that enables automatic adjustment of video bitrate according to user network conditions, while HLS is a streaming protocol that supports adaptive streaming based on HTTP. The research methodology encompasses requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation. During the requirements analysis phase, the identification of JBTV application requirements and the features needed to implement ABR with HLS were conducted. System design involves the selection of suitable ABR algorithms and the architecture design of the JBTV application that supports HLS. Implementation is carried out by developing the JBTV application capable of generating variant streams with various bitrates and performing adaptive playback according to network conditions

Abstract

In the era of modern software development, the speed and efficiency of application build processes have become critical factors in enhancing the productivity of development teams. Jenkins, as a popular CI/CD tool, can be utilized to perform distributed builds across multiple servers. However, long build times remain a significant challenge, especially for container-based applications that require numerous dependencies and compilation stages. This study proposes a method to optimize build time by leveraging caching mechanisms. The proposed method utilizes cache storage to save frequently used build artifacts, thereby reducing the time required for recompilation in subsequent builds. In this research, experiments were conducted to compare the build time of container-based applications before and after implementing the caching method. The results of this study indicate that applying caching techniques to container-based applications can improve build speed by approximately 43% to 76%. This finding demonstrates that caching is highly effective in enhancing build time efficiency within Jenkins’ multi-node architecture. Consequently, this optimization not only accelerates the build process but also reduces computational resource consumption, thereby supporting more efficient and cost-effective CI/CD practices.

Abstract

This study addresses the vulnerability of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) controllers to Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, a critical issue for secure smart city and e-government applications. Using the CICIoT2023 dataset. Methods: We employed Random Forest with Recursive Feature Elimination and Cross-Validation (RFECV) to identify critical features for DDoS detection, validated through simulations in a Mininet/ONOS environment. Results reveal Inter-Arrival Time (IAT) as the most significant feature (importance score: 0.3200), with Controller Resources being the most vulnerable component (vulnerability score: 0.9048). DDoS-ICMP_Flood was the most effective attack (vulnerability score: 1.00), while Controller Distribution achieved a mitigation effectiveness of 0.9048. This research introduces a novel temporal feature-based detection approach, outperforming volume-based methods, and proposes adaptive mitigation strategies for SDN resilience. These findings enhance secure SDN deployment in dynamic IoT-driven environments.

Abstract

Cloud-based technology is a technology that constructs the internet as a central server for managing data and also user applications. Because the smooth process of processing data in a company/organization depends on IT infrastructure, data protection and recovery become essential, especially in damage or natural disasters. Files or data stored and processed by a company/organization will increase in size so that centralized and organized data storage is needed, namely by managing data in a data centre. The data backed up will be stored in a replica of the main data centre; the replica can act as an alternative if the primary data centre is undergoing maintenance or maintenance (down). Consequently, we need a system that can overcome obstacles when the data centre is down and requires a new data centre that is fast and reliable to handle the backup with ansible

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Drying is a critical stage in coffee post-harvest processing that significantly influences the physical quality, moisture content, and overall quality of green coffee beans. Coffee farmers in the Glodogan Coffee Farmers Group, Glempang Village, Pekuncen District, Banyumas Regency, still rely on the traditional open sun drying method, which is highly dependent on weather conditions, requires a long drying period, produces uneven heat distribution, and increases the risk of contamination and non-uniform moisture content. This community service program aimed to implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Solar Dryer as an appropriate technology to improve coffee drying practices. The implementation adopted a Participatory Technology Implementation approach consisting of four stages: partner needs assessment, prototype design and fabrication, technology implementation, and training with evaluation. The developed system integrates a greenhouse-effect drying chamber, temperature and humidity sensors, an ESP32 microcontroller, and a dashboard for real-time monitoring. The implementation demonstrated that the Smart Solar Dryer effectively supported the drying process of both coffee cherries and wet-processed green beans. The monitoring dashboard provided real-time information on drying chamber temperature, humidity, system status, and historical drying records, enabling farmers to monitor the process without opening the drying chamber. Evaluation involving six farmers indicated a Partner Satisfaction Index of 95.33%, with 76.67% of respondents strongly agreeing and 23.33% agreeing with the usefulness of the program and the implemented technology. These findings indicate that the IoT-based Smart Solar Dryer has strong potential to improve coffee post-harvest quality while encouraging the adoption of digital technologies among smallholder coffee farmers.
