Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis has quite serious problems, especially in the emergence of side effects of Anti Tuberculosis Drugs (OAT). Successful therapy of this disease depends on combination drugs for at least 6 months. The design in this study uses qualitative research with analytical survey methods used to try to find out the health phenomenon that occurs. The data collection instrument in this study was interviewed using checklists. The checklist consists of 6 questions about drug side effects and 8 questions about medication adherence. The questionnaire used to determine the compliance of patients with hypertension was the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS).Based on the results of this study, it was found that almost all respondents were obedient in taking tuberculosis drugs as many as 45 respondents (97.8%). This compliance is based on the fact that the Kunir Health Center is successful in providing optimal service to the community in the working area of the Kunir Health Center, but this cannot be separated from the respondents whose education is almost half of high school graduates where high school graduates have fairly good knowledge in receiving information obtained from staff. health, media, or closest relatives, besides that in this study almost half of the respondents are also young so their willingness to recover is high, this of course will also make less willingness to heal from other sufferers to join groups that are more in implementing drinking compliance tuberculosis drugs. Keywords:  Tuberculosis, Drug Side Effects, Medication ComplianceTuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Abstract

Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) which can cause pulmonary complications, cardiovascular, and muscular which results in various organ dysfunctions which in turn can reduce the patient's lung functional capacity. This matter can cause a decrease in the patient's oxygen saturation (SpO2), causing hypoxaemia due to inadequate ventilation and perfusion diffusion leading to sepsis to septic shock. For this, various efforts to increase oxygen saturation deficit and decrease mortality, including by means of respiratory rehabilitation in a position prone. Method: This method uses a literature review design by using 3 databases, namely Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed. Result: The results of this literature review using breathing exercises are: prone position. The time span of 10 journals that have been reviewed using average duration of implementation is 2-4 hours per day, with 1-4 times per session scheduled for 4 weeks. A given patient's lung functional capacity x prone position intervention in 10 journals increased, in results it shows that it is statistically significant in increasing Oxygen saturation SpO2 (p < 0.005). Conclution: These results indicate an effective prone position in improving oxygenation.

Abstract

Most women experience severe pain problems during menstruation, usually called dysmenorrhea. Yoga practice can reduce body, mind, and psychic tension, reduce pain, and release endorphins to increase the response of the parasympathetic nerves which causes vasodilation of blood vessels throughout the body and uterus, and increases uterine blood flow thereby reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea. This study aimed to determine the effect of yoga practice on reducing menstrual pain intensity (dysmenorrhea) in adolescent girls. This study used a literature review design using 3 databases, namely PubMed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The results showed that in the study, the exercises used were yoga with a percentage of 100% using yoga practice interventions. Yoga practice was done within 30-60 minutes per session with a period of 1-3 times a week. Menstrual pain in adolescents who were given yoga practice in the journal experienced a decrease in pain intensity with p = 0.05. Yoga can stimulate the body to release endorphins and enkephalins, inhibiting pain. Yoga is performed by relaxing the endometrial muscles when contractions and ischemia occur due to increased prostaglandin levels, which will cause vasodilation of blood vessels and cause blood flow to experience spasms and spasms ischemia and then reduce pain. Yoga will change the pattern of pain acceptance towards calming the body and will gradually recover from pain disorders. Yoga practice can be an alternative to reduce the intensity of menstrual pain in adolescent girls.

Abstract

Background: Lifelong learning in nursing will be led to increased quality of education, development of nursing competency, and finally, increased quality of patient care. Nursing is a lifelong profession and Self-Directed Learning (SDL) is a valuable skill to remain relevant and productive professionals. Nursing students are expected to embrace SDL and develop these skills. This review aimed to discover determinant factors of Self-Directed Learning as a foundation for being a lifelong learner, Methods: The scoping review method adapted the Arksey and O’Malley framework. There were 11 out of 290 articles selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Self-Directed Learning Readiness built from three themes namely self-management, desire to learn, and self-control. Combining all the evidence, the results showed that SDL was shaped by internal factors (age, gender, self-efficacy, intelligence, desire, motivation, willingness to learn, level of education) and external factors (environment, learning opportunities, cooperation). In the SDLR method, the learning process changes from teacher-directed to learner-directed. Conclusions: Nursing institutions should provide the necessary resources to embrace SDL as a main-line teaching method to ensure competent lifelong professionals.

Abstract

Introduction: Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is often complained by adults.  The impacts of insomnia have been widely reported to decrease productivity, less involvement in social activities, and decline in mental health status. Interventions to the main quality and quantity of sleep among adults emphasized the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).  Nevertheless, the implementations and effects of this particular therapy among adults seem inconsistent. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on insomniacs. Method: A literature review with article searches conducted on the PubMed, SpringerLink, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases was applied, The keywords Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AND) Insomnia, in articles published in 2018-2021. After going through the selection process, the authors received 10 articles, 6 articles used the Randomized Control Trial method, 1 Case Series Study article, 2 pre-experimental articles, and 1 Single-Arm Pilot Trial article. Results: The following characteristics of cognitive behavioral therapy were reported to have positive impacts on adults with insomnia.  The interventions significantly reduced the level of insomnia of adults aged 26- to 35 years old, the given intervention was delivered for a minimum of 45 minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes, and the length of the program delivered was one to three months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is significant for reducing insomnia. Conclusions:  This review on people with insomnia treated by CBT underlined the impact of the intervention on the targeted outcomes. The findings may have led to greater benefits and that the targeted population had access to high-quality sleep care. Evidence from this review suggested comprehensive sleep management will likely lead to further improvements, as will continued support and implementation beyond the end of the program. A critical need to develop methodologically comprehensive trials with larger sample size and long follow-up periods which rigorously evaluate the efficacy of CBT interventions associated with sleep is required.

Abstract

The large number of patient visits to the emergency room requires a triage system to sort out patients who are prioritized to get service first to anticipate patient overcrowding and avoid patients who are not helped or die due to not getting fast help. The distribution of triage is one of the common causes for families to feel anxious. Moreover, if the family does not understand the triage system used, they will feel ignored and afraid if their family members do not get health services immediately. This study aims to determine the anxiety of the patient's family when triage is carried out in the emergency room. This study used an observational design with a cross-sectional approach, a sample of 95 people. Data collection used a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis used the Chi Square test. Multivariate analysis used the Logistic Regression Test. The statistical test results obtained a p value = 0.05, namely there is a response time relationship. nurses with patient family anxiety during triage in the ER, there is a relationship between nurse therapeutic communication and patient family anxiety during triage in the ER, there is a relationship between patient knowledge/information and patient family anxiety during triage in the ER, there are factors that have the most influence to the level of anxiety. Abstract

Background: A new policy has occurred in the world of education due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has changed learning that must come to a class or a building or campus, to become independent learning, including nursing students. In this case, they are still required to have abilities by existing competency standards, including cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities that can be achieved by applying case-based learning and project-based learning models. Objectives: Find out the problem-based learning model in the competency achievement of nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The research method used is analytic observational with a case-control approach. The variables in this research are teaching methodology as an independent variable and competency achievement as a dependent variable. The research was conducted for 5 months at the Diploma Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Jember. The data collection technique in this study was by using an instrument in the form of Nursing Clinical Exercise (NCEx). The research respondents were Diploma Nursing Study Program Students with a total of 101 treatment groups with the criteria of having passed in 2022. Results: The research results show that learning models based on Case case-based learning and project-based learning are very important to develop in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning where students need real conditions about real cases that require direct identification and recognition. The use of PjBL may lead to improved competency achievement among nursing students. This could be reflected in higher scores on competency assessments, better clinical performance, and a deeper understanding of nursing concepts. Students also really need to be in real contact with nursing cases, especially the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic which is a challenge for educators and students in the world of health. Conclusion: The problem-based learning method is very helpful for students in meeting the competency targets for graduates of the third diploma in nursing.
