Abstract

This article is research results about making Krebet “batik” masks in groups carried out by PGSD students. Research’s aims to describe the application of Pierre Bourdieu's concept of habitus and Wallas' creative process. Research methodology is qualitative and case study approach. Data collection techniques are observation and document review. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The subjects researched were PGSD FKIP UAD students, while the objects were Krebet wooden batik masks. Results show that: (1) students applying habitus concept in the practice of making “batik” wooden masks (knowledge, understanding, perceptions, values, and actions) that are internalized as part of society in Yogyakarta; (2) students were integrated habitus concept in the stages of the creative process: (a) the preparation stage which is carried out by forming groups and discussing the theme of “batik” motifs; (b) incubation stage, search for inspiration forms explored of motifs following “batik” objects; (c) illumination stage on the surface of the mask with "canthing" and liquid wax according to the design; d) verification stage by testing new visualization ideas in making designs on paper and transferring them to the wood directly based on the basic elements of fine art.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the creativity of elementary teacher education students in learning practices analyzed through the concept of habitus. The research method used is a qualitative type with content analysis techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation review. The research subjects were students, and the object of the research was the practice of visual arts learning in elementary schools. The sources interviewed consisted of classroom teachers. The results indicate that visual arts teaching practices in elementary schools are based not only on teachers' academic abilities but also on adequate facilities and infrastructure. The position of habitus in teaching practices in elementary schools makes students an audience that contributes to social practices that strengthen the creativity process based on four stages: person, process, product, and press. The combination of the students' understanding of aesthetics and habitus can support the creative process in the practice of teaching visual arts to elementary school students.

Abstract

Latar belakang: pembelajaran muatan lokal yang terus digalakkan oleh pemerintah di lingkup jenjang pendidikan sekolah dasar untuk melestarikan dan menanamkan nilai kontekstual di dalam kehidupan peserta didik. Tujuan: untuk memaparkan keterkaitan antara konsep habitus dalam praktik pembelajaran muatan lokal di sekolah melalui pendekatan VARK (visual, auditory, reading-writing, and kinesthetic). Metode penelitian: studi literatur dengan mengumpulkan sumber-sumber yang relevan melalui jurnal hasil penelitian pada rentang tahun 2020-2025 dan beberapa sumber lain seperti buku, foto, dokumentasi pendukung lainnya. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menelaah sumber-sumber dari database akademik dan perpustakaan, penilaian kritis terhadap kualitas dan relevansi sumber, serta sintesis informasi untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan analisis kualitatif deskriptif dengan menguraikan data, menganalisis dan membahas data, serta mengkaji kesimpulan dari data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian: praktik pembelajaran muatan lokal di SD dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan konsep dasar habitus dalam pendidikan yaitu mendukung reproduksi struktur sosial yang ada dan diinternalisasi dalam individu sebagai hasil dari pengalaman sosial dan membentuk cara individu berpikir, merasa, dan bertindak. Pendekatan VARK tercermin dari cara peserta didik merespons aturan sekolah, norma yang ada, dan cara berinteraksi pada proses pembelajaran muatan lokal. Kesimpulan dari penulisan artikel ini bahwa pendekatan VARK dalam pembelajaran yang diintegrasikan dengan konsep habitus dan kearifan lokal pada pembelajaran muatan lokal menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam konsep berpikir dan praktik bagi peserta didik di SD yang mencakup gaya belajar, kreativitas, strategi, membaca situasi, pola pengasuhan dan pembinaan, serta pemanfaatan media, model, dan alat pembelajaran.
