Abstract

Network security is very important in an effort to prevent abuse on a network.Our research aims to detect networks using snort where this application has sensor that can indentify abuse on the network besides snort also funcitions to detect intrusions. Detection is carried out according to the rules contained in the configuration file,snort can perform analysis on rule based systems,adaptive system.Snort can operate sniffer mode, packet logger mode and intrusion detection mode

Abstract

As a country that has many islands, our country also has a lot of sea qhich means it also produces a lot of fish, but fish quickly rot if left alone without a preservation process. One of the preservation process.One of the preservation processes can be by drying in the sun, but erratic weather can make it difficult for fishermen in the preservation process, therefore a system is made that can detect rain and disturbances such as cats by using a PIR sensor with an automatic control system when it rains or distrubnaces. It will move the dryng into a room that has prepared a heating lamp as a temporary substitute for sunlight. Based on the test results, the LDR and Raindrop sensors successfully read the weather data as given and the system can respond to the data provided by the sensor, Based on the test results, the PIR sensor can read the approaching movement in the dryer area and the safety system is directly active. Based on the results of testing the telegram notification that has been carried out, it was found that there was one failure to be sent out of five attempts. The average photo submission time is 2 seconds

Abstract

In this new normal era, universities, both private and public, have started to learn face-to-face. When collecting assignment reports, sometimes teachers or lecturers are unable to attend because of the hectic activity of activities, sometimes there are students who lie or cheat when submitting assignments. Therefore, making a place or safe for collecting assignments that aims to make it easier for teachers to collect assignments that have been given. The safe is designed using an Arduino microcontroller which functions to integrate components such as RFID sensors, finger print, ultrasonic, LCD and ESP32Cam modules. RFID sensors are use to identify a student’s data. The ESP32Cam module is used to take pictures of students’ photos when submitting assignments. Student photos will be sent directly to the teacher’s or lecture’s telegram application. The ultrasonic sensor is used to determine the contents of the safe, if the safe is full the ultrasonic sensor will work and the buzzer will sound. As a security, the safe uses a finger print that can only be accessed by the lecturer or teacher.

Abstract

Pelatihan online pengenalan Arduino bagi mahasiswa karyawan Universitas Bina Darma dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan waktu yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa karyawan dalam mengakses pelatihan teknis tambahan. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis peserta dalam penggunaan Arduino. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Juni 2024 melalui platform Zoom dan diikuti oleh 33 peserta yang dipilih berdasarkan survei minat melalui grup WhatsApp. Metode pelatihan meliputi penyuluhan teoritis dan demonstrasi praktis yang dilakukan oleh instruktur. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta, dari rata-rata nilai pre-test 50% menjadi 80% pada post-test. Umpan balik dari kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa 90% peserta merasa puas dan menganggap pelatihan ini bermanfaat untuk pengembangan keterampilan teknis mereka. Pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat praktis bagi peserta dan mendukung teori pembelajaran konstruktivis melalui metode interaktif. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis mahasiswa karyawan, serta memberikan solusi yang efektif dan fleksibel untuk keterbatasan waktu yang dihadapi oleh mereka.

Abstract

Research and development in the paint industry continue to evolve along with market demands for innovative and high-quality paint products. This study focuses on the development of an automated microcontroller-based paint mixing device to enhance the efficiency and quality of products in the paint industry. The process of mixing basic paint materials, such as pigments, binders, and solvents, is often carried out manually, which is prone to inaccuracy and takes more time. The application of microcontrollers in paint mixing offers a more precise and automated solution, allowing better control over mixing consistency and parameters. Test results show that this device can produce accurate color mixing using the TCS3200 color sensor to detect RGB variations, as well as an ultrasonic sensor to detect the presence of objects during the mixing process. Abstract

 Seri Tanjung village is a village located in the Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The majority of the village’s population relies on plantation activities, particularly rubber farming, with approximately 65% of the area used for rubber production. Latex is a vital commodity for the local community and serves as a major contributor to the village’s economy. However, in practice, the quality of latex often deteriorates due to rainwater contamination. Rainwater that enters the tapping bowl can hinder the natural coagulation process and reduce the overall quality of the harvested rubber. This study aims to design an automatic bowl cover system for latex tapping, based on a rain sensor, to maintain the latex quality. The research method employed includes literature study and action research through prototype development. The test results show that the automatic cover system functions effectively and responsively in protecting the latex from rain exposure. Therefore, this tool has the potential to improve both the quality and quantity of rubber production, while also contributing to the welfare of rubber farmers in the region.Desa Seri Tanjung merupakan sebuah desa di Kecamatan Tanjung Batu, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Sumatra Selatan. Desa ini mayoritas penduduknya menggantungkan hidup dari sektor perkebunan, khususnya perkebunan karet, dengan sekitar 65% wilayahnya digunakan untuk produksi karet. Lateks atau getah karet merupakan komoditas penting bagi masyarakat lokal dan menjadi penopang utama ekonomi desa. Namun, dalam praktiknya, kualitas lateks sering mengalami penurunan akibat kontaminasi air hujan. Air hujan yang masuk ke dalam mangkok sadap dapat menghambat proses pembekuan alami dan menurunkan mutu karet yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah sistem penutup otomatis pada mangkok sadap getah karet berbasis sensor hujan, guna menjaga kualitas getah tetap optimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur dan action research melalui perancangan prototipe. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem penutup otomatis ini mampu bekerja secara responsif dalam melindungi getah dari air hujan. Dengan demikian, alat ini berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produksi karet, serta berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kesejahteraan petani karet di daerah tersebut.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi otomasi saat ini menuntut masyarakat untuk memiliki pemahaman dasar terhadap sistem elektronik yang semakin terintegrasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sayangnya, di banyak wilayah lokal, literasi terhadap teknologi seperti mikrokontroler masih sangat terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan perakitan sistem otomatisasi berbasis Arduino. Kegiatan ini menyasar masyarakat umum yang memiliki minat belajar namun minim akses terhadap pelatihan praktis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi pemberian materi dasar tentang Arduino, pengenalan sensor, serta praktik langsung merakit alat seperti lampu otomatis berbasis sensor cahaya dan gerak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman terhadap konsep mikrokontroler dan dapat mengikuti proses perakitan secara mandiri. Antusiasme peserta juga menunjukkan potensi pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam penerapan teknologi sederhana di tingkat rumah tangga atau komunitas. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam membangun budaya melek teknologi dan mendorong pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna di lingkungan lokal.

Abstract

Produk kopi susu yang harganya terjangkau memiliki potensi yang sangat besar di pasar minuman siap saji, namun sering kali gagal bersaing secara efektif. Salah satu alasan utamanya adalah identitas merek yang lemah dan desain kemasan yang kurang menarik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, sebuah program pengabdian masyarakat telah dilaksanakan dengan fokus pada peningkatan nilai produk kopi susu yang terjangkau. Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan pelatihan intensif mengenai strategi branding dan desain kemasan kepada para pelaku usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Sosialisasi disampaikan secara daring, memungkinkan partisipasi yang lebih luas dari berbagai wilayah. Tujuannya adalah untuk membantu para pelaku usaha ini membangun identitas merek yang kokoh dan menciptakan kemasan yang menonjol di pasaran. Partisipan juga diajarkan bagaimana menceritakan kisah di balik produk mereka melalui branding. Hasil dari program ini sangat positif. Ditemukan bahwa peningkatan wawasan tentang branding dan desain kemasan secara signifikan meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM. Dengan identitas merek yang lebih kuat dan kemasan yang profesional, produk-produk ini tidak hanya lebih menarik di mata konsumen, tetapi juga mampu menumbuhkan kepercayaan dan loyalitas pelanggan. Dampak jangka panjangnya diharapkan dapat membuka peluang pasar yang lebih luas dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan para pelaku UMKM.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi Light Rail Transit (LRT) stasiun DJKA Palembang dilakukan sebagai upaya meningkatkan masyarakat terhadap transportasi berbasis teknologi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memperkenalkan cara kerja LRT, fungsi komponen utamanya, serta manfaat penggunaannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di lingkungan sekitar stasiun DJKA dengan metode demonstrasi langsung. Peserta kegiatan terdiri dari pelajar sampai guru mahasisawa dan warga sekitar berjumlah kurang lebih 40 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terkait sistem transportasi modern dan pentingnya menjaga fasilitas umum. Manfaat lain adalah tumbuhnya rasa memiliki dan tanggung jawab dalam penggunaan LRT sebagai moda transportasi masa depan nantinya. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi langsung melalui sosialisasi mampu membangun kesadaran masyarakat terhadap teknologi publik.

Abstract

The chemical and process industries require precise control systems to manage critical parameters, such as the pH level in solutions, especially in the treatment of acidic liquid waste. One of the main challenges in this industry is the effective neutralization of acidic waste to prevent damage to the environment and infrastructure. IoT-based pH sensors offer an innovative solution by enabling real-time, remote monitoring and control of pH levels. With IoT integration, pH sensor data can be accessed directly, improving operational efficiency and decision-making accuracy. Furthermore, automatic pH regulation based on collected data minimizes human error and enhances safety. In testing, the ultrasonic and TDS sensors integrated with relay and motor pump modules demonstrated 100% accuracy in controlling devices based on distance and TDS values. The entire system operated with a very low error percentage, confirming its reliability for application in the chemical industry.Keywords: Internet of Things (IoT), pH sensor, pH control, liquid waste, ultrasonic sensor, TDS sensor, automation, chemical industry
