Abstract

The ceremony is an act or celebration which is carried out or carried out as an important event, in its implementation it contains various rules that must be obeyed by indigenous peoples. Which rules grow and develop automatically and hereditary with the role of preserving order and peace of life of its supporters. As is the case with the Toraja people, who until now still carry out the solo sign ceremony 'as a reminder of the affection of the dead during their lives for the family or relatives left behind. So it is undeniable that the family or relatives of the dead try as much as possible for the implementation of a solo sign 'In the Toraja community if a rambu solo ceremony has not been carried out' then the deceased person is still considered a sick person, because of the importance of carrying out the ceremony.Keywords: ceremony, rambu solo', Toraja

Abstract

Indonesian culture although diverse but formed and influenced by other major cultures such as Chinese culture, Indian culture and Arab culture. China is part of the diversity of the Indonesian nation that existed long before independence, the presence of Chinese people in Indonesia seems to have been united and become an integral part of the life of the Indonesian nation that also has horizontal conflicts with indigenous people and there is discrimination against ethnic Chinese or Chinese. For people of Chinese descent born and raised in North Sulawesi, they live in a mix with local residents. Not a few who bear the name of the family Minahasa. In addition to the physical appearance and skin color that is similar to the citizens of Minahasa. The unique social system has supported them to blend in with the population in Manado, and with expertise in terms of trade has made them dominate the local to national economy. With great capital, Confucian teachings, native Chinese and crossbreed Chinese have played an important role as economic drivers in Manado. It is noted that ethnic Chinese who work as traders / business or plunge in politics and government.Likewise, their indigenous culture has been able to adapt to the local culture of Manado to add the diversity of cultures that develop in the city of Manado. The Chinese culture includes the kinship system, the diversity of languages of each ethnic Chinese tribe, their Religion / Religion that is Tridarma, places of worship / temples rich in architecture, lunar celebrations, and lively barongsai performances.Keywords: Chinese, socio-cultural, mingling

Abstract

Traditional medicine is one of the treatments that has been passed down from generation to generation as a cultural heritage in the health sector to overcome various diseases. Traditional medicine utilizes existing local wisdom so that it is believed to have no side effects from the ingredients given, quite easy to find, easy to make ingredients and fairly cheap. Acupressure which is used to stimulate the nerves in the affected organ is very influential in the treatment process so that with traditional acupressure treatment the disease is handled from the outside and also inside so that the impact is felt better. The results showed that traditional acupressure treatment in Abepura not only uses traditional medicine (herb) but sometimes uses medical medicine because traditional acupressure treatment in Abepura adapts to the modern era where there is also a sense of security and trust in the community because of the perceived impact on traditional acupressure treatment and also the good behavior of the healer.Keyword : Traditional medicine, Acupressure, and Modern era

Abstract

Traditional people in general are very familiar with the surrounding environment. The nature of humans as socio-cultural beings is understood ecologically as one of the interrelated environments. The view of indigenous peoples regarding humans as an integral part of nature, as well as responsible behavior, full of respect and care for the survival of life in the universe. Local wisdom as a traditional knowledge of the preservation of nature and the environment is seen as something very valuable and rich in benefits in human life.Sasi tradition is one form of customary ceremony carried out by the community that aims to limit and prohibit the taking, utilizing, and use of an item or plant that is in Sasi within a certain time, which must be obeyed and obeyed by the community collectively. The implementation of Sasi aims to maintain the quality and quantity of production as a whole. Since long ago Sasi in Fritu Village aims to protect garden products such as coconuts and marine products. Sasi carried out in Fritu Village is sea Sasi, and land sasi especially for coconut plants. The implementation of Sasi in Fritu Village was led by a village head and used to be customary but after the entry of Religion, it was switched to Sasi carried out by the Church.Keywords: local wisdom, environmental preservation, human ecology
