Abstract

This research aims to find out the representation of emancipation in the lyrics of the song Wanita Upiak Isil. This research uses qualitative method with Sara Mills critical discourse study. The data source in this research is the lyrics of the song Wanita Upiak Isil. The data source comes from the spotify site and video clips on the youtube channel. Data in the form of song lyrics are analyzed using Sara Mills' perspective. The data collection technique uses the technique of simak catat. The results of the research on the representation of emancipation in the lyrics of the song Wanita Upiak Isil found the position as subject-object more than the position of the reader. The most subjects are women and the least subjects are husbands (men). The most subjects represent the lives of married women. Women experience many demands but are often not given equal rights. Meanwhile, the overall object of the couplet is more forms of independence. Other objects represent a woman's skill in working. The position of the reader is found in the form of greeting “ma'am” used by the author to address the reader or listener of the song.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Taboo language is a type of language that is prohibited to use in everyday communication. In addition to violating the ethics of politeness in communication, it is also very worrying if spoken to children because it can affect the development of the child's language. The influence of taboo language in Bahasa Sasak on the development of children's language is the focus of this study. The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of taboo language in Bahasa Sasak on the development of children's language in Jero Puri Village (Psycholinguistic study). This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study use interview, recording, and tapping techniques. The results of this study are: (1) family domain, taboo language that is often spoken in the family domain such as: godek, basong, bawi, batu mate, tolang tele ninaq; (2) community domain, taboo language is also often spoken in the community environment such as: setan, ubek, basong. In conclusion, the influence of taboo language in Bahasa Sasak on the development of children's language is in the family and community domains. Several families and the community in general often speak the language. Keywords: Taboo Language, Children’s Language Development, Bahasa Sasak ABSTRAK Bahasa tabu merupakan jenis bahasa yang dilarang untuk digunakan dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Selain melanggar etika sopan santun dalam komunikasi, juga sangat dikhawatirkan bila diucapkan kepada anak-anak karena dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan bahasa anak tersebut. Pengaruh bahasa tabu dalam bahasa sasak terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak menjadi fokus dalam penelitian ini. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan tentang pengaruh bahasa tabu dalam bahasa Sasak terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak di Desa Jero Puri (Kajian psikolinguistik). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, rekam, dan sadap. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) ranah keluarga, bahasa tabu yang sering diucapkan dalam ranah keluarga seperti: godek, basong, bawi, batu mate, tolang tele ninaq; (2) ranah masyarakat, bahasa tabu juga kerap diucapkan dalam lingkungan masyarakat seperti: setan, ubek, basong. Kesimpulannya, pengaruh bahasa tabu dalam bahasa sasak terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak terdapat dalam ranah keluarga dan masyarakat. Beberapa keluarga dan masyarakat secara umum kerap mengucapkan bahasa tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms and verbal violence used in comments on the @lilu_mukerji TikTok account. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data source in this study came from netizen comments on the social media TikTok. Data collection used the technique of simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC) with the recording method. The data were analyzed using the equivalent referential method with the comparative linking technique, namely connecting and comparing verbal violence based on the form of satire (cynicism, sarcasm, irony, satire, and innuendo). The analysis results show that verbal violence in netizen comments on the @lilu_mukerji TikTok account uses language styles in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. While the types of language styles netizens use are satire, sarcasm, cynicism, irony, and satire. Then from the 120 most dominant analysis data, namely sarcasm, as many as 53 in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. Cynicism, as many as 37 in the form of phrases and sentences. Irony as much as 17 in the form of phrases and sentences. There are 13 satires in the form of phrases and sentences, while the innuendo style is not found in this study. Abstract

This study aims to identify kinds of codes and to uncover the factors that affect the code selection in the interactions among Riau students staying in in Yogyakarta. Sociolinguistic approach is used in this study.  Informants of this study are students from Riau staying in Yogyakarta. This study employed purposive sampling techniques and data were collected using observation, records and interview. The data were analyzed using the communication ethnography techniques adapted from Dell Hymes. The results showed that the first code in the interactions were: Indonesian language, mixing language, Malay language and foreign language, i.e. Arabic and English. The mixing language occurred in terms of code mixing and code switching. The dominant codes are those of Indonesian language and Malay language. Settings, participants, and topics are primary factors why a code is intended to choose.

Abstract

The use of language variations for content creators is one of the choices to provide uniqueness in each content created. The choice of language is evident in several variations, including Indonesian, Sasak, code switching from Indonesian to regional languages, and the use of slang. This study aims to describe the various language variations that are the choice of content creators on Facebook social media. The method in this study is documentation and data transcription. The results of this study are to describe the languages ​​​​that are the choice of content creators on Facebook social media, as well as to describe the factors causing these language variations.

Abstract

This research aims to describe what lexical aspects are used in Sentilan Sentilun's discourse “DPR Library for whom?” and what is most dominantly used in the discourse. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a discourse analysis technique. The data source in this research is Sentilan Sentilun's program "DPR Library For Whom?”. The results of this study found several lexical aspects including repetition, synonymy, antonymy, hyponymy, collocation, and equivalence. The linguistic aspects that dominantly appear are lexical aspects of repetition and equivalence. Lexical aspects of repetition such as reading books, reading interest and reading mean literacy awareness conveyed in satire to DPR members. In addition, the meaning of repetition such as father and minister also dominates the meaning of respectful greetings. In the lexical aspect of equivalence, the affixation process of basic words such as read, wake up, and believe shows the meaning of the equivalence of words in speech.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini didasari oleh minimnya minat siswa terhadap literasi terutama dalam menulis. Setelah melakukan pre-observasi terhadap kondisi siswa yang tinggal di lingkungan TBM Hamfara, tim PKM Prodi Bahasa Inggris tergerak memberikan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan minat literasi siswa tersebut dan diharapkan dapat sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam menulis cerita dengan menggunakan gambar yang disajikan. Setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan pengajaran mengenai cara menulis dengan melihat gambar yang diberikan, diakhir proses PKM terlihat siswa begitu antusias dalam menulis dan kemampuan menulis mereka dapat dikatakan akan mudah berkembang jika mereka selalu melatih kemampuan mereka dengan bantuan media gambar seperti yang diterapkan di PKM ini.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang berkualitas merupakan kunci untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan menciptakan generasi yang siap menghadapi tantangan di era global. Namun, banyak siswa Madrasah Aliyah (MA) di daerah, termasuk MA Miftahul Huda Sungai Luar, yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan program mentorship yang terstruktur untuk meningkatkan kesiapan akademik dan psikologis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan siswa, pelatihan mentor, pelaksanaan sesi pendampingan, serta evaluasi dampak program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman materi akademik, kemampuan manajemen waktu, dan kepercayaan diri siswa setelah mengikuti program. Rata-rata skor pemahaman materi akademik siswa meningkat dari 60% sebelum program menjadi 80% setelah program. Kemampuan manajemen waktu siswa meningkat dari 50% menjadi 75%, kepercayaan diri meningkat dari 55% menjadi 85%, dan kemampuan pengelolaan stres meningkat dari 60% menjadi 90%. Program mentorship ini juga berhasil membantu siswa dalam mengelola stres dan membangun motivasi belajar. Meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan, seperti waktu yang terbatas dan variasi kemampuan siswa, hasil menunjukkan bahwa program ini efektif dan dapat diusulkan untuk diterapkan sebagai kegiatan tahunan di sekolah. Dengan keberhasilan ini, diharapkan siswa MA Miftahul Huda Sungai Luar dapat lebih siap menghadapi ujian masuk perguruan tinggi dan melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi.
