Abstract

ABSTRACTIn practice, many rooms do not have light ventilation, so they use light sources for up to 24 hours. This study aims to design a sistem that can minimize the use of electricity for lighting using a solatube sistem. Solatube provide a signal to the dimmer that regulates the light capacity of the lamp thus it does not always require full performance. Based on the test results, the solatube sistem can produce a maximum light intensity value that can meet the standards for the reading room, which is more than 350 Lux with the percentage of light being only 1% - 79%, especially during the use of daytime loads. This shows that with solatube lighting sistem, power consumption for lighting can be reduced, thereby increasing energy and cost savings. Furthermore this tool is equipped with a data logger that can be accessed via the internet to monitor realtime electricity usage thus that it can be monitored and evaluated for further developmentKeywords: lighting sistem, solatube, energy saving, data logger.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and document the principles of prophetic leadership as applied by two significant figures in Islamic history, namely Umar ibn Khattab and Umar ibn Abdul Aziz. These principles are based on the Islamic political teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), emphasizing justice, social welfare, honesty, and administrative efficiency. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review, which includes an analysis of historical documents, books, journals, and articles discussing Islamic politics and the leadership of these two figures. The findings of this study indicate that the prophetic leadership concepts practiced by the two Umars are highly relevant and can be effectively applied in modern leadership. These leadership principles provide solutions for contemporary challenges faced by today's leaders. They offer a model for creating governance or organizations that are more just, transparent, and focused on social welfare. Therefore, this research provides valuable historical insights and practical guidance for applying Islamic values in modern leadership.

Abstract

This study explores the practice of Weton calculation in Javanese marriages, focusing on cultural, social, and legal aspects. This cultural heritage is significant for the Javanese community, reflecting local wisdom and social norms respected in marriage. However, in the modern era, this tradition faces challenges that alter societal values and mindsets. The alignment of Weton is considered crucial for marital success, while mismatches can negatively impact family life. This research employs a transdisciplinary approach, involving anthropology, astrology, and the sociology of religion, to understand the role of Weton in social structure and religious interactions. Although Weton holds deep meaning in Javanese culture, the practice conflicts with Islamic teachings, which view it as heresy and magical manipulation. This qualitative study, based on library research, highlights the importance of religious context in understanding the Weton practice

Abstract

Javanese marriage customs in Banten reflect philosophical, social, and religious values that play a vital role in shaping ideal families and fostering social cohesion. However, modernization and globalization threaten the continuity of these traditions, especially among younger generations who often perceive them as outdated. This study employs a qualitative approach with normative juridical methods, supported by field data collected through observations and interviews with traditional leaders, religious scholars, married couples, and academics in the Banten region. The findings reveal that Javanese marriage traditions embody values such as mutual cooperation, empathy, and respect for parents—principles that align with Islamic teachings. Nonetheless, certain symbolic practices that are burdensome or potentially incompatible with Islamic law require contextual reconstruction. The Islamic legal concept of ‘urf (custom) provides legitimacy for traditions that do not contradict sharia and offers a framework for harmonizing local culture with Islamic principles. Through adaptive reconstruction, essential cultural values can be preserved while meeting the needs of modern society. This study recommends cultural education, simplification of rituals, and supportive policy frameworks as sustainable strategies for cultural preservation.

Abstract

Stunting in Indonesia is still a serious challenge, and although the prevalence rate shows a downward trend, the national target of 14.2% in 2029 (Ministry of Health 2025) has not been achieved. Effective intervention through the Posyandu as the front line is crucial. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of balanced nutrition education through Posyandu in stunting prevention and identify the success factors of intervention in Temulus Village, Randublatung. The type of research used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), emphasizing active community involvement. The main data sources were obtained from mothers of toddlers, Posyandu cadres, and village health workers as informants and perpetrators. The results showed that educational interventions resulted  in a significant increase in the average knowledge score of mothers under five (from  65.5 \pm 8.2  to  91.7 \pm 4.5 ) and a positive change in feeding behavior (PMBA), evidenced by the increase in MP-ASI practice adherence from  51.1\%  to  85.5\% . In addition, there is a strengthening of cadre capacity through integrated training, which increases their self-efficacy and skills. This participatory education has proven to be effective in bridging the gap between knowledge and practice, as well as significantly contributing to the trend of reducing local stunting risk, affirming the role of Posyandu as a center for sustainable and empowering interventions.
