Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine whether there is an influence of Islamic religious education in the school environment on the religious tolerance attitude of students at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara, (2) determine whether there is an influence of Islamic religious education in the family environment on the religious tolerance attitude of students at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara, and (3) determine whether there is an influence of Islamic religious education in both the school and family environments on the religious tolerance attitude of students at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara. This research uses a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, with a total of 91 respondents. The results of the data analysis indicate that: (1) there is an influence of Islamic religious education in the school environment on students' religious tolerance attitude at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara, with a coefficient of 0.148 and a t-value of 4.443, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.66235 (t_calculated > t_table); (2) the influence of Islamic religious education in the family environment on students' religious tolerance attitude at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara is 0.462, with a t-value of 4.173, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.66235 (t_calculated > t_table); and (3) the simultaneous (combined) influence of Islamic religious education in both the school and family environments on students' religious tolerance attitude at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Utara is 0.584, with an F-value of 9.889, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.097 (F_calculated > F_table), and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of science that is fundamentally closely related to the role of philosophy, particularly from an ontological perspective. Science functions to elaborate on the phenomena of the universe, while philosophy aims to explain these phenomena with truths obtained through thought based on experience. Therefore, the advancement of science also reinforces the position of philosophy, whose goal is to discover true truths, especially in the context of present-day education. The method of this research is a literature study utilizing secondary data from library sources, documents, and scientific journals. Data was collected through note-taking and literature review related to traditional games. The researcher acted as the main instrument, analyzing the data through reduction, presentation, and simultaneous conclusion drawing to produce conclusions from the literature study. The ontology of science focuses on examining whether a field of knowledge truly exists or not. For instance, in the context of Islamic Educational Management, what is discussed ontologically is not only the existence of its study program but also whether the knowledge taught within it really exists and whether it is different from Educational Management in general. Ontological review is very important in the development of knowledge. By understanding what is considered real and how existence is defined in various disciplines, scholars can build more robust theories philosophically. Ontology is not just an abstract theory, but the foundation that determines the direction and validity of scientific knowledge. Ontological review provides a deep understanding of the metaphysical foundations of knowledge. Abstrak: Artikel ini membahas perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan yang pada dasarnya sangat terkait dengan peran filsafat terkhusus dari tinjauan ontologis. Ilmu pengetahuan berfungsi untuk menguraikan fenomena alam semesta, sementara filsafat bertugas menjelaskan fenomena tersebut dengan kebenaran yang diperoleh melalui pemikiran berdasarkan pengalaman. Oleh karena itu, kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan juga turut memperkuat posisi filsafat, yang tujuannya adalah menemukan kebenaran sejati, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan masa kini.Metode penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari sumber perpustakaan, dokumen, dan jurnal ilmiah. Data dikumpulkan melalui pencatatan dan kajian literatur terkait permainan tradisional. Peneliti berperan sebagai instrumen utama, menganalisis data melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara simultan untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan studi literatur.Ontologi ilmu berfokus pada pemeriksaan apakah suatu ilmu pengetahuan benar-benar ada atau tidak. Misalnya, dalam konteks Manajemen Pendidikan Islam, secara ontologis yang dibahas bukan hanya keberadaan program studinya, tetapi juga apakah ilmu yang diajarkan di dalamnya benar-benar ada dan apakah berbeda dengan Manajemen Pendidikan pada umumnya.Tinjauan ontologis sangat penting dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Dengan memahami apa yang dianggap nyata dan bagaimana keberadaan didefinisikan dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu, para ilmuwan dapat membangun teori yang lebih kokoh secara filosofis. Ontologi bukan sekadar teori abstrak, tetapi fondasi yang menentukan arah dan validitas suatu pengetahuan ilmiah. Tinjauan ontologis memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang fondasi metafisik dari ilmu pengetahuan. Kata kunci: Relevansi, ontologis; filsafat, ilmu pengetahuan

Abstract

The phenomenon of internet addiction among rural youth is one of the factors that affect psychosocial and mental health. Intervention is required to help rural adolescents who are addicted to the Internet become more accountable for their responsibilities in life. Efforts to prevent Internet addiction need careful consideration of the conceptual selection of assessments to guide therapies and quantify the influence of Internet addiction's degree of self-control and religion. As a result, the supplied intervention is anticipated to combat internet misuse, which causes rural adolescents to abandon their obligations. Research that focuses on the level of self-control and religiosity in influencing rural youth internet addiction. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis. This study involved 376 youth aged 14 to 20 years in Bengkulu Province, with 200 male and 176 female participants. The data collection technique uses a scale of religiosity and internet addiction. The results of this study have identified the level of self-control and religiosity influencing internet addiction in rural adolescents. Thus, it can be concluded that religiosity can be used as a basis for practitioners to implement appropriate interventions by looking at the level of self-control to overcome the problem of internet addiction among rural youth by understanding and encouraging adolescents to behave according to levels of obedience, belief, and ethics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi praktik organizational learning di lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam meningkatkan kapabilitas guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) menghadapi tantangan pedagogi di era Society 5.0. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik menggunakan kerangka Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña (2019). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran organisasi di lembaga pendidikan Islam meliputi empat dimensi utama: (1) peningkatan kapabilitas guru melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan, (2) kolaborasi dan sharing knowledge antar guru, (3) pemanfaatan media digital dalam pembelajaran, dan (4) evaluasi berkelanjutan serta inovasi praktik pendidikan. Keempat dimensi ini membentuk ekosistem pembelajaran yang adaptif, inovatif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik, sekaligus selaras dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa lembaga pendidikan Islam yang konsisten menerapkan organizational learning mampu menghasilkan guru PAI yang profesional, kreatif, adaptif, dan mampu menghadapi dinamika pedagogi di era digital.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the urgency of multicultural Islamic education in building national tolerance and character. Using a literature-based research method, this study analyzes various documents, books, and previous research results to provide a theoretical foundation for the issues being researched: First, the urgency of multicultural Islamic education in promoting tolerance and instilling a moderate religious understanding (wasathiyyah) lies in its function as a tool for social and spiritual change. Through a multicultural approach, students are encouraged to understand Islamic teachings contextually, appreciate diversity, and reject all forms of extremism. This moderate religious understanding lays a strong foundation for a harmonious, just, and cultured society. Second, Islamic education with a multicultural approach plays a crucial role in strengthening the character of the diverse Indonesian nation. By respecting differences, this education instills global values of harmony, justice, and humanity. It not only strengthens students’ Islamic identity but also shapes a national character grounded in solidarity and unity. Therefore, multicultural Islamic education serves as the main foundation for realizing an Indonesian society that is religious, moderate, and possesses a strong national character.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of multicultural education in shaping students’ character at the Pancasila Islamic Boarding School in Bengkulu City. The research focuses on three primary aspects: the forms of multicultural education, the strategies employed by kyai and ustadz in instilling multicultural values, and the subsequent impact on students’ character. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, et. al., (2020) with triangulation techniques ensuring data validity. The findings reveal that multicultural education is implemented comprehensively by integrating the Islamic values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin with spirit of nationalism into the curriculum, social activities, and institutional culture. Key strategies include exemplary leadership (uswah hasanah), communal living, intercultural dialogue, and strengthening of national values. The result indicates a significant enhancement in students’ religiosity, tolerance, and national awareness. This study’s novelty lies in its contextual analysis of boarding school that harmonizes Islamic principles with Pancasila as the foundation of multicultural education. Practically, it demonstrates that Islamic boarding schools can serve as inclusive educational models for fostering a moderate and patriotic Muslim generation.

Abstract

General Background: Islamic boarding schools play a significant role in shaping students’ moral character and discipline through structured educational practices. Specific Background: Within pesantren education systems, disciplinary punishment is commonly applied to maintain order and encourage responsibility among santri. Knowledge Gap: However, growing public concern regarding children’s rights raises questions about whether disciplinary practices in pesantren align with the legal principles of child protection. Aims: This study aims to analyze the forms of punishment implemented at Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Kepahiang and examine their compatibility with the provisions of the Child Protection Law. Results: Using a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, the study identifies three main categories of punishment: physical, psychological, and social sanctions. These disciplinary measures are generally intended to foster discipline, responsibility, and moral awareness rather than to cause harm. When implemented within educational boundaries, the practices are considered consistent with Articles 54 and 59 of the Child Protection Law, while teachers are also legally protected under Law No. 14/2005 on Teachers and Lecturers. Novelty: This research provides a pedagogical and juridical analysis of pesantren disciplinary practices by integrating perspectives of Islamic educational tradition with national child protection regulations. Implications: The findings highlight the importance of establishing clear disciplinary guidelines and providing training for educators to ensure that punishment practices remain educational, ethical, and legally compliant in pesantren environments.
