Abstract

In era of globalization and free trade requires everyone to prepare reliable resources. Event Organizer (EO) is now more prospective. ’'The players' are not only many foreign competitors. This condition is a challenge for the Event Organizer, so that in view of the need for management maturity. Local Event Organizer has the potential to develop rapidly, considering that there are local, national and international events that require intelligent handling. In this service, the service team also connects communication and English skills that have very close relationships that benefit the community. Fostering an Event Organizer using English can provide benefits for youth in Youth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Kepemimpinan dan kompetensi sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja pegawai Badan Pengusahaan (BP) Batam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) secara parsial terdapat pengaruh Kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t-count (9,766) > t-table (1,984), (2) secara parsial tidak terdapat pengaruh kompetensi sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai t-count (0,631) < t-table (1,984), (3) secara simultan terdapat pengaruh kompetensi Leadership dan sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan F-count (64,250) > F-table (3,09).

Abstract

Penetrasi penggunaan medsos TikTok oleh masyarakat mendorong media massa ikut mengimbangi pemanfaatan medsos guna menyasar netizen. Tidak sedikit media-media online nasional maupun lokal yang memiliki medsos TikTok sebagai sarana dan media komunikasi institusi kepada publik. Di Kota Batam sendiri masih belum banyak media online yang memanfaatkan platform TikTok sebagai akun medsos resmi institusi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan terhadap media online lokal di Kota Batam, terdapat dua media yang memanfaatkan platform medsos TikTok yaitu tribunbatam dan batamnews. Kedua media ini memiliki akun medsos TikTok dengan jumlah followers atau pengikut yang cukup banyak. Hingga 12 November 2021, akun tik tok tribunbatam memiliki 666,2 ribu pengikut serta sudah terverifikasi. Sedangkan batamnews memiliki pengikut sebanyak 71,8 ribu pengikut. Kedua media ini merupakan representasi media online lokal di batam yang telah memanfaatkan tik tok sebagai salah satu platform medsos resmi. Klasifikasi konten Tribun Batam dan Batam News adalah konten informasi terkini. Informasi yang banyak dijadikan konten adalah konten artis, berita gossip, berita-berita popular (viral), yang dikemas dalam bentuk gambar bergerak, video-video pendek sementara untuk sumber data kontennya variatif dari produksi sendiri serta sumber-sumber lain. Baik tribun batam maupun batam news sama-sama memanfaatkan media sosial tiktok sebagai alat pendukung website berita.

Abstract

The Ansor Youth Movement (GP) is a youth, community, national, and religious organization with a popular character. The spirit of struggle, nationalism, liberation, and heroic ethos colors GP Ansor. GP Ansor has a vision, mission, and goals as a structured organization. GP Ansor has spread throughout all regions in Indonesia, including in Batam. The coaching at GP Ansor Sagulung District is carried out with the following stages of coaching: GP Ansor Youth follows all the material that will be delivered at this coaching activity, namely: Organization and Leadership, Public Speaking, and Presentation Techniques. The methods to solve problems offered by the devotees are lectures and hands-on practice and ensuring that all GP Ansor youth understand the material presented, are given time to discuss, and can make presentations and speak in front of crowds in real situations.

Abstract

Communication is one of the skills needed to speak, listen, overcome verbal communication barriers, understand other people's nonverbal communication, and develop ways to resolve conflicts. Public speaking and presentations are one types of communication skills. Public speaking and presentations are the process of conveying an oral message to an audience and are important activities in a culture where people have the right to speak freely. Speaking in public is not easy for him because many people are afraid of talking to new people, whether in class or public. Both presentation and public speaking abilities are necessary for students to succeed in the workplace when they are hired. To prepare students to speak and present in public as soon as possible, schools must provide public speaking and presentation training. This program was conducted at SMAK Immanuel Batam, a class X science and social science OSIS member. This exercise uses training as a means of carrying out community service. Mentoring or lectures, conversations, and practice are all part of the training that covers public speaking techniques and developing presenting concepts. These exercises help participants learn how to manage their nervousness and fear when giving public speeches and how to develop effective presenting ideas. The students enjoyed this activity which lasted for 5 days.

Abstract

Leadership is influencing other people to support the achievement of relevant organizational goals. Leadership is an art of ability or technique to make a group of people follow or comply with whatever is desired and make them enthusiastic about following it. Leadership is the art of influencing other people, such as the use of influence, action, or behavior, a form of persuasion, leadership as a means of achieving goals, the result of interaction, and so on. As a leader, you should also be able to speak in public and make presentations. Converting an oral message to an audience is essential in conveying ideas and messages to be widely understood. For this reason, SMAK Immanuel Batam students must be prepared as early as possible to speak well in public. This program was implemented at SMAK Immanuel Batam, where OSIS members were for class X Science and Social Sciences. This exercise uses training as a means of carrying out community service. Mentoring or lectures, conversations, and practice are part of the training, including public speaking techniques and developing presentation concepts. These exercises help participants learn how to manage nervousness and fear when giving a public speech and how to develop a practical presentation of ideas. The students enjoyed the activities, which lasted for 5 days.

Abstract

Tourism is a key factor in income, job creation, business development, and infrastructure. Batam City, part of the Riau Islands province, lies along international shipping routes, making it a popular tourist destination in Indonesia. This research identifies the most impactful aspects of service and assesses the service factors. Using a descriptive quantitative approach. The researchers randomly took samples from customers of 4-star hotels in Batam City. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing questions about hotel services using a Likert scale. Interpretation uses the interpretation of results based on the average value and distribution of data to describe the impact of the most essential service factors and factors. The results of the study show that the 4-star hotel in Batam has had a positive effect, which means that customers are satisfied with the service provided by the hotel even though there are some minor improvements.

Abstract

Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) appeared at the end of 2019 and is a new virus reported by the Chinese State to the World Health Organization (WHO) in an area in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. Starting from the outbreak of this virus, every country has imposed a New Normal which affects all aspects of the economy to education. The role of Public Relations in education has also experienced a New Normal, so the purpose of this study is to determine the role of Public Relations as a communication facilitator in maintaining the image on social media in the New Normal era. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research and is seen based on the theory of the role of Public Relations by Cutlip, Center and Broom. Data collection techniques using interviews, documentation and observations. The analytical method used is an interactive model by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study found that the role of Public Relations in Yehonala School as a communication facilitator was to be a communicator and mediator between internal and external parties.

Abstract

Tourism is not new, currently tourism is an industrial product that is increasingly in demand to be visited. Local governments are responsible for developing and managing all the potentials of their respective regions to be able to attract foreign and local tourists. As a tourism destination, Batam City has a geographic area in one or more administrative areas that have accessibility, tourism facilities, public facilities, tourist attractions to complement the realization of tourism. The research is carried out on the basis of samples, the analysis can use descriptive statistics, descriptive statistics themselves can be used if the research only needs to present sample data and does not want to draw conclusions for the population where the sample is obtained, and testing in this study uses descriptive testing using several tests through assistance software SPSS 23. This type of research is quantitative research that will study that will test the image of the city which consists of cognitive images, unique images and affective images. Abstract

Internet can be interpreted as a vast, large and worldwide computer network, which connects computer users from one place to another online. One of the online media that interests the public now is Instagram. In the economic world, Instagram can be considered as a promotional tool for business people. The purpose of this research is to know the marketing communication strategies of mobile products in attracting buyers' interest in social media like Instagram. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The sample technique used in this research is using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, in-depth interviews, and literature study from various sources of research material. The results of this study indicate that the marketing communication strategy of mobile products in attracting buyers who are marketed by @Apple_bth uses advertising, sales promotion, personal sales, direct marketing, interactive marketing, public relations and event marketing. Mobile phone sales have risen sharply through online social media on Instagram.
