Abstract

Instagram is an application that has its own appeal from several other social media which makes this application much in demand by its users around the world. The Instagram application has various features that can support its users' existence, such as sharing photos, taking videos, applying digital filters and other video effect features. The various features provided to users, especially among teenagers, make their reason for using Instagram so that it appears to exist in the eyes of others so that without realizing it will make users addicted to using the Instagram application. The research objective is to find out how the self-existence of the Tunas Baru Jin Seung High School students in Batam City in the use of Instagram social media. The type of research method used is qualitative research methods using purposive sampling data collection techniques. The data analysis technique in this study used an interactive model by Miles and Hubermen. The results of this study found that the self-existence of the Tunas Baru Jin Seung High School Students was only a personal pleasure in entertaining themselves by watching videos, providing information and seeking information.

Abstract

Research objectives: To determine the quality of employee service related to the image of the company Indomaret, and to determine the quality of employee service affects the image of the company. This research method uses a quantitative approach. By spreading 345 respondents with random sampling method. Distribution of questionnaires conducted to consumers who have experienced the services provided by employees. The analysis in this study used the validity test, reliability test, normality test, correlation test, regression test using SPSS. The benefit of this research is that it can provide information about the quality of employee service to the company's image, and can be used as a reference to complement future researchers. The results of the research on the quality of employee service have an effect on company image.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the highest countries with internet users in the world. Around 175,4 million people of 272,1 million population are connected to the internet (Hootsuite Survey, 2020). The internet is used not only to access information, but also to spread the information itself. Around 94% from the survey says that smartphones are the most used device to access the internet. With the smartphones themselves spreading information is easier to do and it can be done from anywhere and anytime. The information can also be spread by social media or instant messaging application. That way there is a possibility that the information spread is not credible. To prevent the spreading of disinformation media literacy is needed. Literacy is one’s ability to read and write (Potter, 2019:51). In this case media literacy is the most basic skill needed to encounter the media exposure (Fitryarini, 2016:58). This research uses the descriptive quantitative design. This research uses the IBM SPSS 25 as data processing software. The result show that the t value for the independent variable media literacy (X) is 19,117 towards dependent variable perception (Y) with significance value 0,000. This shows that the t value 19,117 > t table 1,652 with significance 0,05, in conclusion H0 is declined and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Film is a form of mass media. The 5 cm film directed by Rizal Mantovani is based on a novel it self was released on December 12, 2012 which was written by Donny Dhirgantoro. The storyline that carries the theme of friendship with adventure stories, a sense of nationalism and also the moral values of Pancasila as well as dialogues with poetic nuances, the novel has succeeded in reprinting twenty-five times. The film, which was released in 2012, describes how they truggle with the character they dream of, namely the peak of Mahameru. The formulation of the problem how to analyze the content of Pancasila moral values in the film 5 cm. the research method is a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis techniques, namely qualitative content analysis. The results of this study indicate that for “the moral massage of Pancasila that appears” in the film entitled “5 cm” is the moral in human relations with God in the form of belief in God. Morals in human relations with other human beings are kindship, caring, help. Moral in human relations with oneself in the form of fear, honesty, patience, selfishness, courage, self-esteem, pride, doubt and disappointment. Moral in human relations with other human in the form of love, willing to sacrifice, kindship, caring, mutual cooperation and help. Moral in human relations with nature in the form of nature. Everything that happen with nature is related to behavior.

Abstract

In the current New Normal Era, marketing communication strategies can be a tool in maintaining the market for a business. Promotions resulting from the mobilization of marketing strategies can be an alternative way to continue to grow, social media is a way of implementing promotions. The formulation of the problem from the research is divided into 2, the first is how the marketing communication strategy is applied by PT Vitka Sehat Utama in the New Normal Era and the second is how the constraints of the implementation of the marketing communication strategy are. The purpose of this study is to find out what marketing communication strategies are applied to PT Vitka Sehat Utama in the New Normal Era. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. To gain credibility in qualitative research, this study uses the triangulation method by examining the data that has been obtained. The subjects in this study amounted to 3 people (1 Manager and 2 Employees) selected through purposive sampling technique. Marketing communication strategy is one way to show competitive advantage. Marketing communication strategy can be seen as one of the bases for compiling a comprehensive corporate plan. The result of this research is that the marketing communication strategy approach used by PT Vitka Sehat Utama in the New Normal Era focuses on two social media, namely Instagram and WhatsApp, communication that is created verbally by making adjustments through the theory of marketing communication strategy SOSTAC Paul R. Smith which means that marketing communication strategies require a systematic planning in which they can develop plans taking into account objective conditions which furthermore require evaluation of examinations in order to realize a marketing communication strategy effective.

Abstract

Paguyuban Kepodang Mas, better known as a community group, that gathers based on the same ethnicity, namely Javanese ethnicity, is a community that was founded on April 25, 2010, based on ideas and agreements from people from Banyumas, Purbalingga, and surrounding areas who live and settle in Batam city. Paguyuban Kepodang Mas has two community goals, the first is to strengthen the ties of brotherhood among Purbalingga residents who live in the same area, in this study is Batam City and the second is to create and maintain unity and unity in-order-to create a more intimate sense of brotherhood. thorough. The purpose of this study was to find out how the intercultural communication strategy in the existence of the identity of the immigrants in Batam City in the Kepodang Mas Community took place. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with the technique of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result of this research is that the communication strategy carried out by the Kepodang Mas Community is considered successful because it gets the attention of the public in carrying out its activities. There are four forms of communication strategies carried out by the Kepodang Mas Community, namely: (1) Indirect communication through social media Facebook, Whatsapp, and Youtube; (2) Interpersonal communication for fellow members through monthly meeting, lottery club, and visitting each member’s home; and (3) Public communication through art performances, annual gathering, and socialization

Abstract

Work motivation is a condition or energy that directs employees to achieve company goals. currently, the development of organizational communication sees communication as one of the most dominant and important activities in the organization and can motivate employees. the purpose of this research is to reveal how the role of communication that occurs in the company Sumitomo wiring systems Batam. this study uses quantitative methods. with the determination of the sample using random sampling, the number of samples in this study were 180 respondents with 23 questions on the questionnaire. the results of the study obtained a t value of 10,758> 1,653 and a sig value which was smaller than 0.005 which concluded that organizational communication had a significant influence on employee motivation at PT Sumitomo wiring systems, the results of the coefficient of determination test obtained a measure of organizational communication explaining employee motivation by 39%

Abstract

Digital marketing communication is a combination of understanding of digital marketing in marketing communications with digital marketing, which is a place or stage where businesspeople provide information, persuade, and influence customers about services and products marketed by utilizing social media and the internet. The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the marketing communication strategy of laptop products in attracting buyers through social media facebook DICKYcom. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The results showed that the use of marketing communication strategies, namely the marketing mix; product, price, place and promotion are able to attract buyers. The conclusion shows that the strategy used is sales promotion by creating advertisements and displaying various gaming laptop products with special specifications by utilizing the online media Facebook and it is found that visual communication factors and recommendations also play a very important role in increasing the Dicky.com facebook account brand.

Abstract

Bumi Manusia is a film that tells the love story of two characters named Minke and Annelies. The film, which premiered on the big screen on August 15, 2019, was realized in a colonial land setting in the early 20th century. The purpose of this research is to find out the representation of cultural imperialism in the film Bumi Manusia. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the technique of observation, documentation and literature study. The results of this study show that fashion as a representation of cultural imperialism in the film Bumi Manusia is influenced by two cultures, namely European and Japanese cultures. Eropean fashion style is represented in three types, namely, daily fashion, pajamas and wedding clothes. Japanese fashion style is represented in the use of Kimono. Japanese fashion style is not dominant in the film.

Abstract

Coffee Shop Striped 4 is a Coffee Shop located in Batam City that has used social media Instagram as a tool for promotion. Instagram social media can be used as an effective marketing communication strategy if it has the right and clear media design. The aim of the researcher is to analyze the marketing communication strategy through Instagram social media carried out by the 4-line Coffee Shop to attract consumer buying interest. This research method uses a qualitative approach. By interviewing 4 respondents with the purposive sampling method. Interviews were conducted with the owner, administration, IT, and customers of the 4-lined coffee shop in Batam. The analysis in this study uses a data credibility test consisting of a credibility test and a transferability test. The results showed that the Batam City 4 Striped Coffee Shop has 7 design stages on social media: concept, design, content, photos, models, reels, and themes.
