Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Pentahelix model in the development of halal culinary businesses based on tourism destinations in Indonesia. The research objects include three halal tourism villages: Nusa Lhoknga (Aceh), Perlang (Bangka Tengah), and Aeng Tong-Tong (Madura). Employing a qualitative descriptive approach and multiple case studies, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and program documentation. The results reveal that cross-sector collaboration involving government, academics, business, community, and media is crucial to strengthening the halal culinary ecosystem. Four collaboration models were identified, showing the dominant role of local communities and regulatory support in ensuring program sustainability. This research contributes to the conceptual development of the Pentahelix model in value-based creative economies and offers a practical framework for sustainable halal tourism development.

Abstract

This study aims to explore human resource management (HRM) strategies applied in community-based tourism businesses in the Lake Toba area. Using a qualitative descriptive-exploratory approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving tourism actors in three tourism villages: Tipang, Lumban Bulbul, and Sigapiton. The results showed that HRM strategies are still informal and highly dependent on local institutional capacity and external support. Effective practices are characterized by the existence of structured community organizations, ongoing training, and multi-party collaboration. This study concludes that community-oriented HRM that is adjusted to local values plays an important role in improving service quality, institutional sustainability, and community economic empowerment.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of financial literacy, risk perception, and herding behavior on investment decisions Komunitas Saham Pemula in Medan City. As retail investors increasingly participate in the Indonesian capital market, understanding the behavioral factors that shape their decision-making becomes essential. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected from 50 beginner investors selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that financial literacy has a significant positive effect on investment decisions, suggesting that greater financial knowledge supports more rational and informed stock selection. Conversely, risk perception negatively affects decision-making, demonstrating that perceived risk discourages investment. Additionally, herding behavior shows a strong positive influence, indicating a tendency among beginner investors to follow market trends or peer recommendations without independent analysis. These results align with behavioral finance theory, highlighting the role of both cognitive and social factors in financial decisions. The study offers practical implications for financial educators, regulators, and investment platforms to design targeted interventions that enhance investment decision quality. The findings also underscore the need for behavioral-based investor education that addresses risk management and bias awareness among novice market participants
