Abstract

The phenomenon of Dengue Fever is currently increasing in the Semarang City Area, this has caused the Semarang City Government to create a program to overcome Dengue Fever which makes it easier for the community and health units to suppress cases of Dengue Fever. The aim of this research is to determine the Communication Strategy of the Tunggal Dara Program in Tlogosari Kulon Village, Semarang. This research uses the theory of communication strategy stages which consists of: analysis and planning, design and implementation of plans, implementation of strategies, follow-up and commitment, and tracking of results. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods through in-depth interviews and observation. The research results show that the stages of the communication strategy in the Tunggal Dara program are as follows: 1) Cadres carry out analysis by directly monitoring hygiene activities in the community and planning for the success of the Tunggal Dara program is carried out in collaboration between government sectors to tackle dengue fever; 2) Design socialization to support the Tunggal Dara program through pamphlets, applications and websites as well as various posts on social media, as well as communication between cadres and community leaders for the smooth running of the Tunggal Dara program in the community; 3) Implementation of strategies using persuasive communication techniques with outreach regarding the Tunggal Dara Program to break the chain of dengue fever. 4) The Tunggal Dara Program requires increased outreach and direct visits to the community as well as increased complaint services both offline and online, as well as additional administration of pesticides to reduce the growth of larvae. mosquito; 5) Tracking of results is obtained through recapitulation of PJN reports which are routinely reported by the public every week. The success of the Tunggal Dara program can be seen from the decrease in the number of dengue fever sufferers who can be accessed through the Tunggal Dara Program application or website. This program still needs improvements such as outreach to the community, cadre training and improving complaint services, administering pesticide drugs in the community so that the program becomes better.

Abstract

Central Java has a variety of interesting tourism destinations for tourists to visit. Central Java Disporapar carries out tourism promotions by utilizing Instagram media as a promotional tool. This research uses the theory of Technological Determination which focuses on: 1) Changes in Human Technology, 2) Changes in Various Communications, 3) The Emergence of Communication Equipment by Humans. Supported by the 7P Promotion Mix theory (Promotion Mix), namely 1) Service Provider. 2) Process. 3) Physical Support Facilities. 4) Products. 5) Price. 6) Distribution Channels. 7) Promotion. This research uses qualitative methods and a netnographic approach through online data collection techniques through observing followers such as likes, comments and shares as well as the interaction of the Disporapar Jateng Instagram admin with followers, content analysis to identify the type of content, visual style and message delivery of each post. Data collection was also carried out through in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of research on Technological Determination in Central Java Disporapar: 1) Changes in Human Technology, Updating devices for content production on Instagram, 2) Changes in Various Communications, Promotion of Central Java tourist destinations carried out online via Instagram media, 3) The emergence of Human Communication Equipment, Websites " visitjawatengah.jatengprov.go.id” as a new breakthrough in Central Java information. Through the 7P Promotion Mix (Promotion Mix), dividing elements from the Public Relations and Marketing workforce to cover Central Java tourist destinations for marketing. Financial operational costs are regulated in the context of content production, human resources and other needs. The product is in the form of Instagram feed content containing the city of Central Java and the uniqueness of the city such as tourism destinations and typical culinary delights. Through Technological Determination, the use of technology in communication on Instagram media by the Central Java Disporapar to reach a wider audience and the implementation of the 7P Promotional Mix so that the implementation of promotions is in accordance with the seven elements of the promotional mix.

Abstract

Strategi komunikasi pemasaran menjadi salah satu aspek yang dibutuhkan oleh Perkumpulan Rangkul dalam mempromosikan anggota UMKM yang tergabung di dalamnya, diikuti dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan digital menjadikan program Ngicip TVKU menjadi media promosi yang saling menguntungkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengindentifikasi strategi komunikasi pemasaran Perkumpulan Rangkul dalam mempromosikan UMKM di Kota Semarang melalui Program Ngicip TVKU. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui pendekatan deskriptif dan paradigma induksi analitis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan wawancara langsung dengan anggota Perkumpulan Rangkul, Kepala Hubungan Masyarakat UMKM Rangkul Semarang, kepala produksi dan staff hubungan masyarakat dan marketing TVKU serta analis kebijakan madya Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UMKM Rangkul menggunakan strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang efektif melalui penggunaan media massa Program Ngicip TVKU serta media sosial dalam mempromosikan produknya walaupun dampak dari Program Ngicip TVKU tidak sebesar media sosial lainnya.

Abstract

Taekwondo trainers have indirectly become role models for athletes, their habits, methods, traits and motivation in training greatly determine the character and success of athletes, effective and efficient two-way communication is an important factor that coaches must master. The role of the trainer is also important in the Indonesian Taekwondo National Training Center so that it can improve the quality and achievement of Indonesian Taekwondo National Training athletes. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with interviews with key objects, namely athletes and coaches of the Indonesian Taekwondo National Training Center. The results of this study are that the trainers of the National Taekwondo National Training Center apply persuasive communication strategies to athletes to form good personal relationships between coaches and athletes. Coaches and athletes must have effective communication skills in order to help each other in solving a problem and provide mutual support. In a process of forming effective communication, support from both parties must be well established. Inhibiting factors that affect communication are the athlete's self-problems, facilities, lack of interaction from junior athletes. Supporting factors are openness, motivation, discipline and support.

Abstract

Coldplay, as one of the most popular bands in the world, is often the center of attention of global music fans. Their concerts are considered unforgettable experiences, and tickets are often a rarity. This research uses Self Determination Theory which includes autonomy, competence and connectedness, aiming to analyze the influence of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) on the competition for tickets to the 2023 Coldplay concert. Phenomenology is used to find out how FOMO is among Coldplay’s fans with the points Edited Content, Continuous Update , Social Comparison, Comments & Likes, Events & Social Invitations. This research uses a qualitative approach by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show FOMO behavior among Coldplay fans; 1) Autonomy, watching concerts is a personal desire; 2) Competence, a Coldplay concert is considered an achievement, creating satisfaction; 3) Connectedness, increasing motivation to get involved in the concert. Media content influences feelings of FOMO. Social media algorithms make it easier to access information. Social comparison triggers feelings of envy, but people's success in getting tickets through events & social invitations does not affect feelings of FOMO. FOMO and the influence of social media encourage people to get involved in Coldplay concerts, thus creating satisfaction. When individuals are in a missing out situation, some of them experience disappointment, but others respond to these feelings by diverting their disappointment into positive things.

Abstract

Perfume has become a primary need for every person, and its use has various purposes both according to needs and according to personality category. This research aims to examine perfume aromas and the personality spectrum, with a focus on how the choice of perfume aroma can reflect individual characteristics on various personality spectrums. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach by conducting in-depth interviews and observations of informants who used various types of perfume. The research results show that the choice of perfume aroma can reflect certain aspects of a person's personality. Floral aromas tend to be associated with feminine characteristics, while woody or spice aromas may be associated with masculine characteristics. Apart from that, there is a close relationship between the choice of perfume aroma and the level of extraversion, neuroticism, openness, familiarity and emotional stability of the perfume user.Understanding the relationship between perfume aroma and the personality spectrum of perfume users can be useful in developing the perfume industry. Using perfume that is tailored to personality preferences can improve the perfume user's experience and help express their personality through the chosen aroma.

Abstract

Galuhtimur merupakan desa tempat ditemukannya situs purbakala. Ragam motif batik dari desa ini merupakan refleksi indigenous knowledge yang berasal dari fosil hewan purba dan potensi alam setempat. Riset ini bertujuan mengkaji motif, menganalisis makna filosofis dan refleksi nilai-nilai kehidupan dari batik poerba. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori simbolisme dan metode ikonografi yang memiliki tiga tahap yaitu deskripsi pra-simbolis, analisis simbolisme, dan interpretasi simbolis. Pendekatan kualitatif, wawancara serta observasi diterapkan untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam tentang batik poerba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Batik Poerba lahir dari refleksi indigenous knowledge masyarakat desa Galuhtimur. Motif makna dan filosofi pada motif batik Kampung Poerba yaitu: Gajah Poerba: kegagahan dan keberanian, Bunga Katarak: keelokan alam dan keindahan, Gajah Wong: kearifan dan sifat rendah hati, Kerang Poerba: keanggunan, Lereng Poerba: perpaduan dari empat motif sebelumnya yang menggambarkan kegagahan, keelokan, kearifan dan keanggunan. Batik poerba tidak hanya memperkaya warisan kultural namun juga memperkuat ekonomi dan identitas sosial masyarakat Galuhtimur. Mengenalkan batik poerba kepada masyarakat luas merupakan bagian dari upaya mendukung pengembangan wisata edukasi di situs geoheritage serta pelestarian budaya berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Salah satu platform media sosial yang populer adalah Instagram terlebih pada kalangan dewasa muda. Hingga muncul istilah “selebriti Instagram” dari penggunaan media sosial Instagram. Keanu Angelo atau @keanuagl merupakan selebgram atau influencer yang memiliki daya tarik tersendiri bagi kalangan remaja. Keanu Angelo juga merupakan influencer yang mempunyai karakter yang unik dengan cara berbicara yang lucu dan berpenampilan apa adanya atau sesuai dengan jati dirinya. Instagram @keanuagl masuk dalam “10 Selebgram Indonesia Paling Bersinar di 2020.” Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis representasi citra diri Keanu sebagai influencer melalui Instagram @keanuagl. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dan analisis semiotika model Charles Sanders Pierce dengan teori segitiga makna yang terdiri dari objek, tanda dan makna. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik representasi citra diri Keanu, mulai dari cara berpenampilan secara umum dalam Instagram, kebebasan berbusana sesuai karakter diri, percaya diri akan ukuran tubuh, penggunaan kosmetik untuk penunjang karir, dan model rambut yang mengikuti trend seluruh karakter tersebut direpresentasikan dalam Instagram @keanuagl. Citra diri Keanu menginspirasi influencer lain dan para pengikutnya di Instagram untuk menjadi diri sendiri dan memiliki karakter.

Abstract

Floods are one of the disasters that often occur in Indonesia, especially in the city of Semarang, when entering the rainy season, and cause various impacts on the community. This study aims to analyze disaster communication in flood disasters in Tlogosari Kulon Semarang. Effective communication between the Semarang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the community is needed, especially in flood disaster management. This study uses disaster communication theory, a phenomenological approach, and qualitative methods by conducting in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The study results show that BPBD utilizes an internal communication system through a data and information center, a strap system, or the current situation in responding to disasters to find out conditions at the flood disaster location and map the impacts caused. Disaster communication carried out by the Semarang City BPBD in flood management includes: 1) pre-disaster is carried out by socializing flood management through social media accounts, 2) disaster response management in flood disaster management through two-way communication with the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and the River Area Large Hall (BBWS), and, 3) post-disaster by recovering from the impact of flood disasters through collaboration and evaluation activities. The use of digital communication channels plays an important role in the dissemination of information to improve preparedness and rapid response during disasters. Mitigation in flood management and disaster recovery processes requires active community participation in every stage

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology that is starting to be utilized in the world of education has the potential to change how students and technology learn and communicate. One of the shifts in the use of artificial technology in education is the widespread use of Chat GPT. This study aims to determine the interaction of students in the city of Semarang in using AI technology, especially Chat GPT, in lecture activities through the Human-Machine Communication (HMC) Theory and the Phenomenology approach. The research method used is qualitative, which involves conducting interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study showed that most students considered Chat GPT an effective tool to support the learning process, especially in helping to understand the material and speeding up the search for information. However, some students also expressed concerns about the potential for dependence and negative impacts such as plagiarism. HMC emphasizes the importance of effective communication between humans and machines, where students must master how to give the right commands or prompts so that Chat GPT can provide information relevant to academic needs. The presence of Chat GPT creates dynamic interactions between students and AI. AI technology can help students who have difficulty completing college assignments. However, on the other hand, students must continue to hone their critical thinking skills and utilize AI wisely by making this GPT Chat technology a supporter, not a substitute for the human thinking process.
