Abstract

Malaria is caused by Plasmodium infection transmitted Anopheles sp. One of the obstacles in malaria control is the variation of Anopheles sp. Species which have various characteristics and behaviour, so it’s very important to understand the species of Anopheles sp. with aim to develop the disease control program. This study was conducted in Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta, one of the malaria endemic areas in Indonesia. Data collection of Anopheles sp. species diversity was carried out through landing collection inside and outside people’s homes at 18.00 - 06.00 WIB. Observations of abiotics factors in the habitat of Anopheles sp. larvae was carried out around the landing collection location. The result of research conducted in the Samigaluh, Kalibawang, and Pengasih Sub-Districts showed that the most common species found was Anopeheles vagus. The dominance of Anopheles vagus occurred in the Kalibawang and Pengasih dictricts, while in the Samigaluh Sub-Districts it became the second most among other species. Measurement of abiotic factors in the habitat of Anopheles sp. larvae through the parameters of temperature, air humidity, pH DO of water shows that the location where the larvae were found can support larval breeding and growth. That can be a factor in the large population of Anopheles sp., especially Anopheles vagus, which is a known vector of malarias based on research and its vectorial capacity.

The research design was quasi experimental and there were two groups those who were taught by using Animation movie and by using mind mapping. The data were analyzed by using Paired Sample T Test by IBM SPSS Version 22. The significant value of the data of post-test in the Experimental Group by using Animation Movie was 0.013; as 0.013 < 0,05 Ha then was accepted. The significant value of the data of post-test in the Experimental Group by using Mind Mapping was 0.012; as 0.012 < 0,05 then Ha was accepted. In both Experimental Group by using movie and mind mapping the significant value for post test was 0.014; as 0.014 < 0.05 then Ha was accepted. Therefore, at the significant level of 0.05, there is a significant effect on the ability of the students in writing narrative text after watching movie and using mind mapping.

Abstract

Sustainability reporting has become a strategic tool for measuring corporate responsibility beyond financial performance, particularly in the banking sector. However, most Islamic banks, including Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), still rely heavily on global frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) without explicitly integrating Islamic values. This study aims to analyze BSI’s 2023 sustainability report using the maqashid syariah framework, which emphasizes five core objectives: protection of religion (hifz al-din), life (hifz al-nafs), intellect (hifz al-‘aql), progeny (hifz al-nasl), and wealth (hifz al-mal). The research employs a qualitative content analysis method by mapping the contents of BSI’s report against these five dimensions. The findings indicate that BSI has successfully addressed four of the five maqashid principles through programs related to religious activities, social health, financial literacy, and inclusive financing. However, the principle of hifz al-nasl remains underrepresented. In conclusion, although BSI demonstrates strong alignment with GRI standards, integrating maqashid syariah more explicitly would enhance the Islamic authenticity of its sustainability reporting and provide a more holistic view of its social and moral commitments.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has infiltrated the education domain, offering enhanced learning effectiveness. This study examines the construction of student knowledge in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) development from a sociological perspective in education. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating literature studies and data collection techniques. The results indicate that AI facilitates the construction of student knowledge. In the externalization stage, students build knowledge by expressing ideas outside themselves or through thinking. In the objectivation stage, ideas become part of social reality through interaction. In the internalization stage, social knowledge is adopted back into the individual. Artificial Intelligence provides access to extensive learning resources, facilitates online discussions, and personalizes learning according to individual and group needs. However, issues emerge, such as the digital literacy gap, differences in access to technology, and potential algorithmic bias, which can affect the validity of the knowledge built. From a sociology of education perspective, while AI plays an important role, its use must be carefully considered to avoid individual mindset errors caused by the technology. This study contributes to the sociology of education by showing how AI supports student knowledge construction through externalization, objectivation, and internalization. It highlights AI’s role as a social medium in learning while also addressing issues, such as digital literacy gaps, unequal access, and algorithmic bias, offering insights for educators, policymakers, and technology developers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the use of Financial Technology (Fintech) on the efficiency of sharia financial management, particularly in sharia financial institutions and sharia-based SMEs in Ponorogo Regency, East Java. The development of fintech provides a significant opportunity to improve the quality and efficiency of financial management in the sharia economic sector, which has long faced challenges in terms of transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency. By leveraging technology, sharia fintech can help SMEs and sharia financial institutions manage their finances in accordance with sharia principles that emphasize justice, transparency, and blessings. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents consisting of sharia SMEs, financial managers from sharia financial institutions, and users of sharia fintech services. Respondent selection was carried out using purposive sampling to ensure that the sample involved had an understanding and experience related to the use of fintech in financial management. The collected data was analyzed using simple linear regression to test the relationship between fintech usage and the efficiency of sharia financial management. The results of the study indicate that the use of fintech has a significant impact on improving efficiency in financial management, particularly in aspects such as more systematic financial recording, ease of digital payments, and faster and more accurate financial decision-making. These findings strengthen the importance of digitalizing sharia financial services, particularly in areas like Ponorogo, which has significant potential for sharia-based economic growth. This research is expected to contribute to the development of policies and strategies to improve sharia financial inclusion through the adoption of technology, thereby strengthening the sharia economic ecosystem at both the local and national levels.
