Abstract

This study aims to describe the critical thinking and social skills of fifth-grade students after implementing the Problem-Based Learning model of the Snowball Throwing type assisted by Quizizz. The research was conducted as classroom action research, with the subjects being fifth-grade students of SDN Sawaran Kulon 02, Kedungjajang District, Lumajang Regency, in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data were collected through observation and tests, and analyzed using an interactive analysis technique consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Problem-Based Learning model of the Snowball Throwing type assisted by Quizizz had an impact on students’ critical thinking and social skills in social studies learning. Based on the data, after applying the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by Quizizz, there was an increase of 31.66%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada materi Indonesiaku Kaya Hayatinya kelas V SDN Jember Kidul 03. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalahlpenelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN Jember Kidul 03 yang terdiri dari 25 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Ukuran ketuntasan kelas minimal untuk hasil belajar sebesar 75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik kelas V SDN Jember Kidul 03 mencapai hasil belajar yang lebih baik apabila menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Hal ini terlihat dari capaian klasikal hasil belajar Siklus I sebesar 59%, kemudian meningkat pada Siklus II sebesar 82%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas V SDN Jember Kidul 03.

Abstract

Research into the classical period in Bondowoso Regency has yet to provide a clear description of its archaeological remains. Between 2009 and 2020, numerous artifacts from the classical period were discovered, including kepeng money, ancient brick structures, and Majapahit-style wells buried 1 to 5 meters deep. No inscriptions definitively link these relics to the Majapahit kingdom, but their presence indicates that Bondowoso is rich in classical cultural artifacts. This study aims to investigate the historical traces of classical civilization in Bondowoso Regency, influenced by Hindu-Buddhist culture, which have not been thoroughly examined. The main objective of this research is to document and analyze the classical cultural remains in Bondowoso Regency, focusing on the number, type, form, and function of these artifacts. Accurate data on the distribution, quantity, and characteristics of these remains are essential for academic research, cultural heritage preservation, and tourism development. The research employs a historical method supported by archaeological approaches. This combined methodology is chosen for its effectiveness in addressing the research objectives, which rely heavily on the analysis of archaeological evidence, such as artifacts, structures, and buildings. The archaeological approach enhances the historical method by providing tangible data and context. Initial conclusions suggest that the classical civilization in Bondowoso began to decline due to the eruption of Mount Raung in the 16th century. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of Bondowoso's historical and cultural landscape, highlighting the significance of its classical period remains. In summary, this study provides a comprehensive examination of the classical cultural artifacts in Bondowoso Regency, aiming to clarify their historical context and significance. The findings are expected to offer valuable insights for further academic research and contribute to the preservation and promotion of Bondowoso's cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a history learning medium using a Storythat comic based on the Ngideri Dhisah tradition. Secondly, it aims to measure the effectiveness of the Storythat comic medium based on the Ngideri Dhisah tradition in enhancing students’ visual perceptual skills. This research is a development study or Research & Development (R&D) adopting the ADDIE model by Branch. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 Tenggarang with the research subjects being grade X students. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique to measure students’ visual perceptual skills used IBM SPSS V29. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the Storythat comic medium based on the Ngideri Dhisah tradition is suitable for use in the learning process with minor revisions; (2) the Storythat comic medium based on the Ngideri Dhisah tradition can significantly enhance students’ visual perceptual skills with a “Large Effect” category (Relative Effectiveness Test score of 0.83). This research provides initial information for future studies that will examine the effectiveness of the Storythat comic medium in improving students’ visual perceptual skills, particularly in the history learning process.

Abstract

The temporary closure of educational institutions in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19 has an impact on millions of students, including in Indonesia. The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the online learning process for students of SMP Negeri 3 Rambipuji. In this study, the author uses qualitative research methods with the type of case study research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that online learning is a solution in teaching and learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Online learning is learning that uses the internet network with accessibility, connectivity, flexibility and the ability to bring up various types of learning interactions. In the implementation of online learning, educators use the WhatsApp and Google Classroom applications. The results of the research and discussion found that the impact of COVID 19 on the implementation of online learning at SMP Negeri 3 Rambipuji was not effective.
