Abstract

Fiscal policy and monetary policy are the two macroeconomic policies used by the government and monetary authorities in order to create a stable economy. The budget deficit policy is one form of fiscal policy implemented by the government in order to realize a high level of economic growth, a controlled inflation rate and open up new job opportunities to reduce unemployment. The impact of the implementation of the budget deficit policy on the level of economic growth is a long debate. Neoclassical groups argue that the implementation of budget deficit policies is detrimental to the economy, as it lowers the rate of economic growth. Keynesian groups argue that the implementation of the budget deficit policy is very good for the economy, because it triggers the rate of economic growth by increasing the number of demand for goods and services through increased government spending. While the Richardian people argue that the implementation of budget deficit policy has no effect on the economy. The data used in this study is data from 1981-2014 which consists of budget deficit, government consumption, government investment and economic growth rate. The method of analysis in this research is using Partial Least Square-Path Modeling (PLS-PM) approach with SMART-PLS analysis tool which aims to analyze the direct and indirect influence of the implementation of budget deficit policy toward the level of economic growth through government consumption and government investment. The results show that the implementation of the budget deficit policy can increase economic growth through increased government investment spending. Keywords: budget deficits, government investment, government consumption, growth.

Abstract

This community service program is Program Kemitraan Wilayah (PKW) scheme from the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency, Deputy for Strengthening Research and Development. The location of the devotion in the village of Sidoharjo Samigaluh subdistrict Kulon Progo D.I Yogyakarta. The implementation of PKW was carried out by Janabdara University  ( proposing college) in collaboration with AMPTA Tourism High School (partner college) and the Regional Government of Kulon Progo district.  Problems that have been identified at the location of PKW service in Sidoharjo village of Samigaluh district of Kulon Progo district include :(1) lack of accessibility to tourist destinations (tourism support infrastructure) ;(2) has not been optimal for creative economic development with the utilization of local resources; (3) The potential of agricultural products has not been optimized; (4) Art, culture still needs to be accompanied and optimized.  The realization of the devotion program includes the construction of footpaths and safety fences to the top of Gunung Kendil, the creation of selfie spots (self-photos), the construction of gazebos. In addition, training and practice are also carried out for the development of the creative economy (culinary sector) namely by making various snacks that utilize local ingredients, namely taro, cassava, and Regedek leaves. In the field of culture is carried out rejuvenation a set of gamelan. In this service program, socialization is also carried out about the PIRT licensing process for people who already have many household businesses (home industry).

Abstract

Abstract

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, a touchless portable sink has been developed. This innovative sink allows users to operate it by simply stomping on it with their feet, eliminating the need for hand contact. The implementation of touchless sink technology includes the design and production of touchless sinks, field testing of the equipment, and communication with the community and operators of the Wisata Taman Nggirli in Bantul. The initial phase of this program involves designing a touchless sink by utilizing engineering design programs. The second step proceeded with the manufacturing process, which took place in workshops located inside and outside the campus. Following that, the third phase involves conducting tests on the site and reaching out to the staffs of Taman Nggirli to engage them as users of this device. Participants were socialized through the introduction of touchless sinks, accompanied by an explanation of the distinction between touchless sinks and conventional sinks. Next, the participants are instructed on the operational mechanism of the touchless sink by demonstrating the use of a footrest located beneath the pedal. Finally, a testing of the device was conducted at the Taman Nggirli. Each participant eagerly attempted to use this touchless sink, one after another. Based on this testing, it is evident that the device functions effectively and may be utilized as intended.

Abstract

Implementing the Low External Input Sustainable Agriculture (LEISA) concept is expected to optimize the use of local inputs, reduce negative environmental impacts, and produce safe products. In Bantul Regency, a group of shallot farmers have cultivated using the LEISA system, but their production has decreased. This research aims to determine factors that influence production, the influence of technical inefficiency on production variability, sources of inefficiency, and the level of technical efficiency of LEISA system shallot farming. This research is quantitative descriptive. Determining the research location used the purposive method and selecting the sample using random sampling techniques. Technical efficiency analysis uses the Cobb Douglas Stochastic Frontier production function. The research results show that land area positively affects shallot production in the LEISA system with a regression coefficient of 0.718. Technical inefficiency problems that farmers can control contribute 1% to production variability, and technical inefficiency originates from farmer age. LEISA system shallot farming in Bantul Regency is not technically efficient. This research implies that farmers can increase LEISA system shallot production by increasing the land area, and to increase technical efficiency, this can be done by increasing farmer experience and increasing the motivation of young farmers in LEISA system shallot farming. Farmers with experience and who are young have better physical and decision-making abilities. Apart from that, further research must be conducted to evaluate the sustainability of the LEISA system shallot farming.
