Abstract

This research begins with the discovery that there are punctuation errors in academic degrees that make the meaning of the degree wrong. Academic degree writing is often neglected in terms of punctuation accuracy, causing confusion and obscurity in understanding one's degree. The purpose of this research is to identify punctuation errors in the writing of academic degrees as well as to conduct a correction process on the form of degree writing errors following the rules for writing academic degrees in Indonesia stipulated in the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). The results of our research show that academic degrees are not written with a full stop between abbreviated letters and do not end with a full stop. This research is useful to be able to educate readers about the correct procedure for writing punctuation marks on academic degrees according to applicable rules.The data collection technique is carried out by searching for information on the internet which is used as the object of this research. The conclusion of this research is the wrong use of punctuation marks such as full stops and commas that do not pay attention to any errors in writing academic degrees

Abstract

The use of Indonesian is implemented as a medium of communication for the unity of the Indonesian state to facilitate daily interactions with each other. Good and correct use of Indonesian is important to make understanding easier for the person you are talking to. This research aims to find out the good and correct use of Indonesian and to study Indonesian grammar in depth as a reference in writing. The topic used as material for research was Ridwan Kamil’s upload of a photo along with a caption on one of his social media account (Instagram) on July 21st 2024. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method by analyzing grammatical patterns on social media to obtain information. In the research carried out, errors in the use of Indonesian language and grammar were found, including the use of foreign languages, slang, non-standard words and the use of regional languages (Sundanese).

Abstract

This research aims to provide education regarding the good and correct use of Indonesian in class 1A. Humans are social creatures who definitely interact with each other, one of the media we as humans interact with is language. As Indonesian people, we should use Indonesian, especially good and correct Indonesian. This research was conducted offline while studying citizenship courses. The purpose of this research is to provide education to readers about how important it is to speak good and correct Indonesian, especially the use of good and correct Indonesian in class 1A. Judging from the good and correct use of Indonesian in class 1A, only 60% of individuals are aware of the importance of speaking good and correct Indonesian. Even though all students listen carefully when learning Indonesian language courses, there are still many students who use their respective regional languages.

Abstract

Studi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan menyimak peserta didik dalam memahami teks prosedural dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan discovery learning. Kegiatan simulasi dilaksanakan bersama mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Siliwangi angkatan 2024 yang berperan sebagai fasilitator dalam pembelajaran bagi murid kelas VII tingkat SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan evaluasi lewat platform Quizizz. Media yang digunakan berupa video prosedural berjudul “Cara Membuat Cilok”, yang berfungsi untuk mendukung pemahaman teks secara kontekstual. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode discovery learning dan pendekatan berpikir logis berdampak positif pada peningkatan kemampuan menyimak siswa, dengan rata-rata nilai evaluasi sebesar 82. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya strategi pembelajaran aktif dan pemanfaatan media kontekstual dalam mengembangkan keterampilan menyimak siswa di tingkat SMP.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning model for listening skills that integrates a synthetic approach, local cultural content, and audiovisual technology in Indonesian language education. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) design with the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), data were collected through surveys, interviews, observations, and expert evaluations, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The findings indicate that integrating local cultural content with audiovisual technology not only enhances students’ listening skills but also increases their motivation and active participation. By presenting learning material that is culturally relevant, engaging, and interactive, students become more interested, involved, and motivated throughout the learning process. Further research is recommended to examine the feasibility of this model across diverse educational contexts and to develop more comprehensive assessment tools that can better capture improvements in listening skills and student engagement.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan budaya perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) di kalangan siswa SDN 4 Gunungsari melalui pendekatan literasi lingkungan berbasis KIE (Komunikasi, Informasi, dan Edukasi). Program ini mencakup penyusunan modul PHBS, pelatihan untuk guru dan siswa, pembentukan duta PHBS, serta monitoring dan evaluasi perilaku siswa terhadap penerapan PHBS. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada berbagai aspek PHBS, seperti cuci tangan dengan sabun, kebiasaan membuang sampah, dan kepedulian menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, dengan peningkatan rata-rata 27% hingga 45%. Keberhasilan program ini menunjukkan efektivitas pendekatan KIE dalam membangun budaya PHBS yang berkelanjutan di sekolah. Saran bagi keberlanjutan program ini meliputi pembinaan rutin, pelibatan orang tua, penyediaan fasilitas kebersihan, penguatan peran duta PHBS, dan integrasi materi PHBS dalam kurikulum sekolah.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan sarana komunikasi yang paling penting dalam kehidupan. Bahasa digunakan untuk menyampaikan permintaan, permohonan, bertanya, berpendapat, gagasan, ide, dan informasi kepada orang lain. Selain sebagai sarana komunikasi bahasa juga digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi. Informasi tersebut bisa disampaikan kepada pihak lain dengan menggunakan bahasa lisan maupun bahasa tulis. Informasi melalui bahasa tulis antara lain melalui surat. Surat sebagai sarana informasi yag digunakan. Secara umun surat adalah alat untuk menyampaikan maksud secara tertulis. Dilihat dari pemakaiannya surat dibagi 4 jenis yaitu surat dinas, surat niaga, surat sosial, dan surat pribadi. Setiap surat memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda. Salah satunya surat dinas yang lebih banyak digunakan untuk urusan resmi, dan biasanya juga menggunakan bahasa resmi atau formal. Surat dinas banyak digunakan untuk hal-hal yang sifatnya kedinasan untuk menyampaikan informasi dari satu pihak, (orang, instansi, atau organisasi) kepada pihak lain (orang, instansi, atau organisasi) yang berisi informasi yang menyangkut kepentingan tugas dan kegiatan dinas instansi yang bersangkutan.Kelurahan Urug  Kecamatan Kawalu Kota Tasikmalaya merupakan wilayah yang termasuk pada wilayah kota tasikmalaya yang memiliki beberapa Karang taruna diantaranya karang taruna Katar Urug yang berada di kelurahan Urug Kecamatan Kawalu Kota Tasikmalaya, yang membawahi 11 karang Taruna yang ada di sana. Salah satunya karang taruna Immaj. Berdasarkan observasi awal yang dilakukan, ternyata ada temuan dari beberapa surat dinas yang dibuat oleh karang taruna tersebut yang belum memenuhi syarat atau yang belum sesuai dengan kaidah penulisannya. Oleh karena itu ketua dari dua karang taruna beserta tim pelaksana IbBM merasa perlu diadakannya pelatihan penulisan surat dinas ini, yang melibatkan semua pengurus dan anggota kedua karang taruna. Metode yang akan dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan IbBM ini adalah bimbingan bertahap. Artinya, semua pengurus dan anggota karang taruna dibimbing dan di arahkan untuk mampu menulis surat dinas yang sesuai dengan kaidah penulisannya

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication patterns used by the West Java Diskominfo in social media, focusing on syntactic aspects, discourse strategies, and the effectiveness of digital communication. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with critical discourse analysis techniques. There are several approaches in the analysis process, ranging from a syntactic approach to identify the structure of active and passive sentences; discourse analysis approaches to examine messaging strategies, cohesion, and coherence; and analysis of audience engagement in digital communications. The data used is in the form of discourse and content that is under the responsibility of the West Java Provincial Communication and Information Department. The source of data for this study refers to the official web and social media accounts managed by the West Java Provincial Diskominfo. The results of the study show that the West Java Diskominfo uses more active sentences in its social media uploads, which gives a more direct and firm impression. In discourse strategies, the narrative patterns and arguments used tend to clarify the problem before offering solutions that the government does. In addition, the use of persuasive words and hashtags strengthens the consistency and branding of local government communication. In terms of digital communication, audience engagement is higher in uploads that discuss public policy and strategic issues. The effectiveness of messages is enhanced through the use of multimedia and language styles tailored to audience segments. This study concludes that the communication pattern of the West Java Diskominfo is quite effective, but it can still be optimized by increasing two-way interaction and the use of interactive visual elements.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the loss of interest in the Indonesian language, resulting in a lack of understanding of standard words and their equivalents. The purpose of this study is to investigate the understanding of standard words and their equivalents in the Indonesian language. The method used is a qualitative approach through a descriptive research design, focusing on understanding the context and characteristics of the data. The data collection instrument is a Google Form questionnaire. The research sample consisted of 44 active students who had graduated from Indonesian language courses. The results showed that most students had an understanding of standard words. However, with a difference of 9.89%, students really needed to improve their understanding. Meanwhile, most students had an understanding of equivalent words. However, with a 36.3% difference, students needed to improve their understanding. These findings highlight the importance of language training and development for students to improve the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning and foster a positive attitude towards the language of science, a unifying tool, and national identity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe strategies for Indonesian language development through the use of Instagram, particularly the Story feature, as a medium for introducing Indonesian lexical equivalents. The study is grounded in the increasing use of foreign terms and code-mixing on social media, highlighting the need for language cultivation efforts that align with digital communication habits. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected from polls, question box responses, and user interaction metrics from the Instagram account @katasetara_. The findings indicate that respondents’ understanding of Indonesian lexical equivalents remains relatively low, as shown by the high percentage of incorrect answers for terms such as caption (57%), typo (56%), and headset (52%). By providing explanations in feed posts, the @katasetara_ account serves as an informative and engaging medium for language cultivation. This study concludes that Instagram holds strong potential as an effective platform for linguistic education when combined with interactive strategies and adherence to standard Indonesian language norms.
