Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the promotion toward the student's decision in choosing Sepuluh November vocational school of Sidoarjo. The variables in this study are the promotion of schools as independent variable and the decision to choose as the dependent variable. The subjects were 94 students of Sepuluh November vocational high school selected using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Promotions and informed choice are measured using school promotion scale and the choosing decisions scale compiled by the researcher. From the results of the data analysis using regression analysis techniques aided by SPSS 16.0 for Windows, it was obtained that (thitung = 3.060; ρ = 0.003; ρ <0.05), the alternative hypothesis accepted that there was an effect of school promotion on the decision of the students tochoose Sepuluh November vocational high school. Based on the value of R square = 0.092 / 9.2% of students decisions is affected by the school promotional activities, while the remaining percentage influenced by other factors. Based on the value of multiple correlation (R) it is obtained at 0.304, it can be seen from the table below where it shows that relations campaign against the decision of the school students in choosing Sepuluh November vocational high school of Sidoarjo classified in the range of 0.20 to 0.39 points, which means that the level of relationship is low but definite.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to explain the effect of therapeutic communication done by midwives toward maternity patient satisfaction in Bhayangkara Pusdik Brimob hospital in Watukosek, Gempol Pasuruan. This study uses a correlational approach. Of the 1034 population of maternity patients in 2012, the researcher took Yamane formula so that the sample in this study were 91 respondents. The analysis uses simple linear regression formula. The conclusion of this study is that the results of 4,798 t and a significance value of 0.000. Values greater than 4,798 t 1,987 t table (df = 91-2 = 89; α = 0.05) and 0,000 T test significance value less than 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, ie there is an effect of therapeutic communication by midwives toward satisfaction of maternity patient. While the results of the test R2 (R Square) obtained at 0.794 that patient satisfaction influenced by therapeutic communication is 79.4%, while 20.6% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the role of Public Relations PT. KAI Daerah Operasi 8 Surabaya was conducted by Head of Kepanjen Station in purchasing train tickets online at Kepanjen Station. This research used qualitative descriptive research. Primary data sources were collected directly from respondents by interview that will be submitted Public Relations Manager of DAOP 8 Surabaya, Head of Kepanjen Station, and buyer train tickets at Kepanjen Station. The results showed that the Head of Station Kepanjen Station had implemented four categories of public relations roles ie communication technician, expert prescriber, communication facilitator, and problem-solving facilitator well.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to expose the communication process skinhead community in Sidoarjo. This group decision making was to achieve destination and develop a community of Sidoarjo to be skinhead better in solidarity between members. This research used descriptive research method and the type of research was qualitative in-depth interview with data analysis process through three phases namely data reduction, the presentation of the data, the withdrawal of the conclusion. The results of this study indicated that members of the community who always did the Sidoarjo skinhead activities with shared together-especially in decision making towards the group. In this community of skinhead Sidoarjo used horizontal communication. The community of skinhead Sidoarjo had no formal structure, they prefer to be considered all the members have the same social status. Decision making groups of skinhead Sidoarjo used deliberation. Although each group in the decision-making process of deliberation, but also ask for opinions from the more senior or elderly women in community skinhead Sidoarjo.
