Abstract

This study discusses the effect of stop body shaming message content on followers attitude againts body shaming. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the effect of the contents of the stop body shaming message on followers attitude againts body shaming. The model used in this study is a persuasive instrumental of model. The method used is quantitative. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study is the Instagram account followers @kemenpppa, for samples using the Yamane formula which is then obtained by 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the results of the correlation test variable X (the contents of the body shaming message) to the variable Y (body shaming attitude) amounted to 0.752. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination results obtained the influence of variable X on variable Y by 56.5%. T test results obtained t count> t table that is t count 11.295> 1.661, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion from the study is that there is a strong influence between the contents of the stop body shaming message on Instagram @kemenpppa on followers attitude againts body shaming.

Abstract

This study discusses how online media Okezone.com and Viva.co.id frame the news of the Moving of the Indonesian Capital. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative using framing theory. The method used is the Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosick Model. The model analyzes with four structures namely Syntax (title, lead, background information, source and closing quotes) Scripts (completeness of 5W + 1H news items), Thematic (paragraph propositions between sentences) and Rhetorical (words, idioms, pictures/photographs). This study uses document study data collection techniques originating from uploads of both online media in July-September 2019 related to the Moving of the Indonesian Capital so that six news were collected that were examined as a data analysis unit in this study. The findings obtained from the syntactic structure of the two media use the opposite title, whereby the background information used by Okezone.com is more to the government while Viva.co.id is more to the public. In the structure of the script Okezone.com fulfills the news element, but the resource persons chosen are only one point of view, while Viva.co.id has not fulfilled the news element in the third news. In the thematic structure the two media differ in highlighting their contents even with the same theme. For the rhetorical element, the use of images in both media is sufficient to explain the contents of the news. It is hoped that further research can emphasize media ideology in framing an event. In addition, the media can also display more than one resource so that it can be seen from various points of view. The community itself is expected to dig deeper information by not only from one media.

Abstract

Mencuci tangan dengan gerakan yang benar merupakan salah satu cara untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19. Untuk itu akun Alodokter Indonesia mencoba untuk melakukan edukasi komunikasi kesehatan di media baru melalui posting video “Gerakan Cuci Tangan yang Benar” melalui akun TikTok @Alodokter.ID. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif posting video “Gerakan Cuci Tangan yang Benar” dengan menggunakan teori media baru dan efek media. Metode penelitian kuantitatif eksplanatif digunakan untuk meneliti 100 followers akun TikTok @Alodokter.ID sebagai sampel penelitian. Penarikan data sampel menggunakan metode purposive, nonprobability sampling dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan menggunakan Google Form. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  ditolak dan  diterima: Posting video “Gerakan Cuci Tangan yang Benar” dinilai efektif dalam mengubah perilaku kesehatan mencuci tangan followers akun TikTok @Alodokter.ID, namun hanya sampai pada tahap sikap dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,589 yang termasuk dalam kategori “sedang” dan nilai regresi yang positif 0,694. Short video telah menjadi media kampanye yang efektif di dunia komunikasi khususnya kesehatan. Daya tarik pesan pada short video menjadi tolak ukur tertinggi bagi audiens untuk melanjutkan atau mengganti video yang sedang ditonton.

Abstract

Data for 2022, Bogor district waste reaches 2,800 tons per day. The Waste Bank is one of the solutions to environmental problems that occur in Bogor Regency, besides that the Waste Bank is a forum for the community to remain empowered to generate profits from the waste sorting process. This concept is in line with sociopreneurship (social entrepreneurship) which focuses primarily on social missions and goals to the commercial side. Departing from social goals, youth Indonesians must be empowered to achieve big social missions. So, the subject of community service activities carried out in Pamijahan Village is youth development who can be involved in village programs. Video is one of the closest and easily accessible media for generation Z (17-26 years). Therefore, we designed communication media by making video media as a source of information for youth development in Pamijahan Village, Bogor Regency. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, it showed that there was an increase in knowledge of them. Changing cognition is expected to build awareness of the importance of the Waste Bank and bring out the spirit of sociopreneurship (social entrepreneurship) in youth development for a sustainable village program.

Abstract

Sustainable development is a global goal that faces many challenges, especially in large cities such as the Jakarta metropolitan area in Indonesia. One of the biggest challenges is the low level of public awareness of the environment. This article examines the application of the diffusion of innovation theory introduced by Everett Rogers as an approach to increasing environmental awareness and behavior in the Jakarta metropolitan area. By identifying environmentally friendly innovations, recognizing target groups and implementing appropriate communication strategies, people's behavior must be changed towards a more sustainable lifestyle. This strategy includes personal communication, education and information, demonstration and experimentation. Additionally, support and training, as well as obtaining feedback, are important parts of the adoption and implemetation process. This research concludes thnat the innovation diffusion approach can be an effective solution for increasing environmental awareness in the Jakarta metropolitan area. Implementing this model requires collaboration between government, the private sector, NGOs and the community. It is hoped that the success of these initiatives will not only improve the city's environmental conditions, but also help achieve broader sustainable development goals in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Pandawara Group is a group of young people from Bandung who have gained popularity on the social media platform Tiktok for their content focused on cleanliness. They aim to educate and encourage the public to be more aware of environmental cleanliness. This research seeks to examine how the TikTok content of @Pandawaragroup, posted between September 1 and 29, 2023, serves as environmental education using environmental communication theory. The indicators used in this study are the dimensions of environmental education: knowledge, attitude, and behavior. The research employs a quantitative approach with content analysis, using video as the unit of analysis, which includes 33 texts, 46 images, and 22 audio elements. Two individuals performed coding to ensure objective results. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of frequency and percentage tables. Additionally, the agreement between coders was calculated using Holsti’s formula, and reliability was assessed using Scott’s formula. The results show that the TikTok content of @Pandawaragroup contains environmental education elements, with text posts at 90.90%, images at 93.47%, and audio at 86.36%. Reliability testing indicates the highest reliability values were found in audio, text, and image units. Based on these findings, the study concludes that the TikTok content of @Pandawaragroup can be characterized as environmental education content.

Abstract

Efikasi diri adalah penilaian pribadi atau keyakinan seseorang akan kemampuannya dalam melakukan serangkaian tindakan yang diperlukan untuk menghadapi situasi mendatang. Self Efficacy pertama kali diperkenalkan oleh Albert Bandura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur seberapa besar keyakinan keberhasilan seorang mahasiswa (self efficacy) dalam menyelesaikan tugas yang dilakukan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan media e-learning 4.0. Teori pada penelitian ini adalah New Media yang bisa menggambarkan konsep elearning sebagai bentuk media baru dan efikasi diri sebagai efek dari new media. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey sebanyak 96 mahasiswa UPN. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara elearning 4.0 sebagai media komunikasi pembelajaran terhadap efikasi diri mahasiswa UPNVJ Angkatan 2019/2020. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis yang diperoleh melalui uji t yaitu sebesar 4.9538 sedangkan t tabel 1.66123, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti media komunikasi pembelajaran e4.0 berpengaruh terhadap efikasi diri mahasiswa UPNVJ. Tidak semua mahasiswa mampu menggunakan elearning 4.0 sebagai media komunikasi pembelajaran dikarenakan kurangnya efikasi diri dalam dirinya saat menggunakan media teknologi, ini dibuktikan dengan hasil jawaban kuesioner bahwa mereka merasa tidak mampu untuk menangani kendala teknis atau kesulitan yang dihadapinya pada saat menggunakan elearning 4.0 sebagai media komunikasi pembelajaran. Sehingga ketika mereka menemukan kesulitan dalam menggunakan elearning 4.0 ataupun mendengar hal negatif dari penggunaan elearning 4.0 efikasi atau keyakinan diri mereka menurun. Selain itu mereka merasa elearning 4.0 belum bisa menggantikan komunikasi dua arah dan komunikasi tatap muka seperti aktivitas mereka di kelas

Abstract

This study examines the diffusion of innovation in the use of the Green Calculator, developed by Bank Indonesia to support sustainability and reduce carbon emissions in the financial sector. The background of the study is the urgent need to mitigate the effects of climate change, as well as Indonesia’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The research aims to analyze Bank Indonesia's strategic role in accelerating the adoption of eco-friendly technologies in the banking and business sectors. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, analyzing secondary data from various relevant policies and regulations. The findings show that the Green Calculator facilitates accurate carbon emission calculations; however, its adoption faces challenges such as low awareness and technical limitations among businesses. In conclusion, while the diffusion process encounters obstacles, there are significant opportunities to accelerate adoption through increased awareness and economic incentives for users.

Abstract

This study examines the attitude of Instagram followers @taulebih.id towards LGBTQ+ content on the Instagram provides information about sexual education based on an Islamic point of view. One of them is the Instagram account @taulebih.id which often provides information about LGBTQ+ to give a complete picture of the LGBTQ+ community from an Islamic viewpoint. This study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. The information integration theory states accumulate information has latent power and can influence individuals to have certain attitudes. Information Integration Theory focuses on how individuals collect and organize information about accumulate information to act positively or negatively towards attitude objects. Researchers used questionnaire on Instagram with 100 respondents. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test show that the influence of LGBTQ+ content @taulebih.id with the valance and weight dimensions significantly affects followers' attitudes. The results obtained by Ha are accepted, which means that there is a significant influence on the attitude of followers or followers who agree with the statements in the @taulebih.id account. This can be proven from the data results of t count 14.789 which is greater than t table, namely 1.292 so that it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

“Seperti Dendam Rindu Harus Dibayar Tuntas” movie depicts how societal pressures concerning masculine characters are illustrated through male attractiveness, centered around their genitalia, the dominance of power, the suppression of emotions or sadness, and physical strength and toughness. According to Terry A. Kupers, toxic masculinity comprises four main components: the suppression of anything labeled as feminine, emotional repression, male domination, and aggression. This study employs a qualitative and descriptive approach to illustrate the phenomenon of toxic masculinity in films. The data collection is conducted through documentary, observational, and literary methods and subsequently analyzed using Peirce's semiotics by examining icons, indexes, and symbols. The research results demonstrate that the representation of toxic masculinity in the film is portrayed through Ajo Kawir as the main character who suffers from impotence and adopts masculine traits to mask his condition. Toxic masculinity behavior is more likely to be produced when Ajo Kawir's masculinity is threatened. Ajo's toxic masculinity behavior becomes more extreme after experiencing erectile dysfunction. Furthermore, this research reveals that sexual power is a part of toxic masculinity, depicted by viewing male genitalia as a symbol of virility. Related to the characteristics of toxic masculinity, this research identifies a complementary character in Kupers' concept, which is excessive sexual processes.
