Abstract

Keberadaan Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) dengan berbagai aktivitasnya diasumsikan akan memberikan perubahan sosial yang cukup signifikan di desa sekitar, sebagai salah satu desa lingkar kampus, menarik untuk mencermati dinamika perubahan sosial yang terjadi di Cikarawang. Eksistensi IPB di Dramaga Bogor selama lebih dari satu dekade diyakini memberikan dampak dan pengaruh terhadap masyarakat di desa Cikarawang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis gambaran perubahan sosial yang terjadi di desa Cikarawang atas kehadiran dan aktivitas kampus IPB. Bagaimana pengelolaan konflik komunikasi dapat menimbulkan perubahan sosial di desa Cikarawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bagi masyarakat desa Cikarawang, keberadaan IPB memberikan kontribusi positif terutama pada aspek tenaga kerja, serta penyuluhan pertanian dan perikanan, namun demikian, dari aspek pendidikan formal, warga desa Cikarawang yang menjadi mahasiswa di IPB masih sangat minim. Selain itu, beberapa kebijakan kampus bersinggungan langsung dengan kepentingan warga desa Cikarawang sehingga menimbulkan konflik. Melalui negosiasi dan mediasi, konflik tersebut menghasilkan perubahan sosial di wilayah tersebut

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dalam kurun 2015–2025 telah merevolusi cara komunikasi dan konstruksi jender, sehingga memberi ruang bagi ekspresi gender yang lebih fleksibel. Penelitian ini meninjau literatur terkait praktik ekspresi jender di platform digital seperti Instagram, TikTok, forum daring, dan komunitas gaming. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif-literature review, dengan analisis pada artikel jurnal peer-reviewed (2015–Mei 2025) yang difokuskan pada ekspresi identitas maskulin, feminin, dan non-biner, framing advokasi digital, serta dinamika pelecehan berbasis jender di dunia maya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Generasi Z dan milenial memanfaatkan fitur multimodal—seperti filter, emotikon, GIF, dan hashtag—untuk membangun “self-branding” jender yang mengaburkan perbedaan tradisional. Identitas non-biner semakin muncul melalui pilihan avatar netral dan penggunaan pronoun “mereka” atau “they/them”. Meskipun ruang digital menawarkan peluang inklusif, bentuk pelecehan (misogini digital, slut-shaming, transfobia) masih marak terjadi, sementara moderasi platform di Indonesia hanya menindaklanjuti sekitar 30% laporan. Selain itu, perbedaan gaya komunikasi maskulin (kompetitif, langsung) dan feminin (kolaboratif, emotif) memudar di medium digital karena emotikon dan GIF menjadi penanda nuansa emosional, dan pengguna non-biner mengembangkan gaya komunikasi hibrid. Implikasi penelitian menekankan pentingnya literasi digital jender dan peningkatan moderasi agar ruang maya menjadi lebih aman dan inklusif.

Abstract

Business competition has given birth to a network marketing system or what is commonly referred to as Network Marketing. The utilization used in Network Marketing, or what we currently know as MLM (Multi-Level Marketing), uses a network system where interpersonal communication is required both between MLM members and communication between members, customers, and prospective consultants. The interpersonal communication of consultants determines MLM business. How do they apply persuasive communication to persuade consumers or other consultants to join their network? This research uses a case study method. The results illustrate three important things young mothers do when running an MLM business to build the household economy. First, a trustworthy communicator will build credibility. Second, I need to understand how to convey messages in the MLM trading system; third, I need to choose communication channels that follow the objectives.

Abstract

Awal tahun 2020 masyarakat dunia dikejutkan dengan Pandemik Virus Corona atau disebut dengan Covid 19, diperkirakan lebih dari dari 215 negara berjuang untuk menghentikan penularan virus ini tidak terkecuali Negara Indonesia. Pandemik ini sangat menimbulkan dampak dari segala sector terutama pada sector usaha yang salah satunya terdampak pada unit kerajinan tangan Bank Sampah Srikandi Berdikari (BSSB) yang berada di Desa Pasarean, Kabupaten Bogor. Berdasarkan hasil asessemen bahwa BSSB memiliki kendala dalam hal pemasaran produk kerajinan tangan baik secara virtual online maupun offline, sehingga dibutuhkan pendampingan yang berkaitan utamanya tentang pemasaran online dengan memanfaatkan platform digital. Melalui kegiatan PKM, tim Abdimas Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta melakukan kegiatan pendampingan pemasaran online dari edukasi hingga mempraktikannya. Adapun Rangkaian kegiatan terdiri dari persiapan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan.

Abstract

Environmental communication has shifted to the concept of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Sustainability Communication. Data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) in 2019, Indonesia produces at least 64 million tons of waste piles every year. Based on this data, about 60% of the waste is transported and dumped to the final dump, 10% of the waste is recycled, and the remaining 30% is not managed. In fact, the government has a target in 2025 that waste must be managed 100%. The solution that we can provide as academics in the field of Communication Science is to help teacher to educate their students what is meant by "Throwing garbage in its place". We will design educational media for children as the output of this activity in the form of flashcards that can be used by schools to educate students in sorting organic, non-organic and B3 waste (hazardous and toxic materials). This card is played in groups so that students' knowledge can be measured. The interaction that is built is also quite good between the teacher and students because all children can be controlled in small groups (containing 4-5 people) and have their turn to play cards. The results of the activity proved to be able to increase students' knowledge because the final test results obtained an average of 69.18. So, flash cards effective as an educational medium for sorting waste for ECED students.

Abstract

The rapid growth of online gambling in Indonesia, marked by an 8,136.77% increase in transactions since 2018, highlights the urgent need for effective preventive communication targeting adolescents. This study aimed (1) to develop an illustrated story-based educational medium about online gambling and (2) to examine its effectiveness in improving adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes toward online gambling. A Research and Development (R&D) design was employed, combining expert validation of the media with a one-group pre-test–post-test experiment. Three experts in media design and online gambling content assessed the feasibility of the illustrated story using a validation questionnaire. Effectiveness testing involved 12 adolescents in Cilebut Village, Bogor, who completed knowledge and attitude questionnaires before and after exposure to the illustrated story. The results showed that the medium achieved an average expert validation score of 87.5%, indicating that it is feasible for educational use. Paired sample t-test analysis revealed a significant increase in knowledge scores from a mean of 6 to 9.16 (p = 0.001) and in attitude scores from 23.41 to 29.16 (p = 0.001) after the intervention. These findings conclude that illustrated story-based media is an effective tool to enhance adolescents’ knowledge and strengthen their attitudes against online gambling, and it holds promise for broader application in preventive education campaigns.
