Abstract

This paper will examine the evolution of children's creativity in the new millennium. The world of children is full of surprises, and the world of play is abundant with the sparks of a child's imagination in expressions that are so genuine, spontaneous, and astonishing. Children's imagination develops concurrently with their cognitive and linguistic abilities. And serve as a method for children to comprehend the reality of their existence and their surroundings. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, which, in addition to utilizing available literature, makes observations on the research object. Creativity is the capacity to conceive of things in novel and uncommon ways and to generate original solutions to children's issues. Children who are creative are insatiably inquisitive, have many interests, and are enthusiastic about their hobbies and activities. The answer to a child's curiosity is creativity. Today's children have an abundance of potential due to their creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the various virtues of the soul that become the midpoint in behavior, these virtues are the virtues between the two vices of extreme excess and neglect. Because moderation is the midpoint between these two attitudes. Departing from the above statement, the attitude that contradicts the moderate attitude certainly cannot be used as a reference to create a conducive atmosphere, both in terms ofsociety and individual life. Moreover, doctrines that suggest a liberal way of thinking and individualism cannot be used as a reference and view to create harmony and balance in life. Ibn Miskawaih in the book Tahdhib Alakhlaq wa Tathir al-A'raq excessive and defi ciency is a bad thing while moderation is a virtue and even a virtue in the psychological system. Excessive extremes are characterized by behavioral recklessness, arbitrary and free to do according to their own wishes regardless of the prevailing norms. This is not a gentle attitude from religious teachings that always echo the values of al-rahmat al-alamin which should be the attitude of a Muslim. This research is a literature review, exploring relevant sources such as articles, journals, books, and other documents that describe theories and information both past and present organizing the literature into the topics and documents needed. By sourcing the works and teachings of Ibn Miskawaih, namely Tahdib al-Akhlaq wa Tathir al-A'raq The approach used in this research is a psychological approach. The findings of this study produce a statement that the attitude of moderation when implemented specifically for individuals will make a moderate person towardssociety, mental and spiritual values. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat berbagai macam kebajikan jiwa yang menjadi titik tengah dalam bersikap, kebajikan tersebut merupakan keutamaan antara dua keburukan yakni ekstrem berlebihan dan terlalu mengabaikan. Oleh sebab moderasi merupakan titik tengah diantara dua sikap tersebut. Berangkat dari pernyataan diatas, maka sikap yang bertolak belakang dengan sikap moderat tentunya tidak dapat dijadikan sebuah acuan untuk menciptakan suasana kondusif, baik ditilik dari segi kehidupan sosial maupun individual. Terlebih lagi doktrin yang mengemukakan cara berfikir yang liberal dan individualisme tidak dapat dijadikan sebuah acuan dan pandangan untuk menciptakan keselarasan dan keseimbangan dalam kehidupan. Ibn Miskawaih dalam kitab Tahdhib Alakhlaq wa Tathir al-A’raq berlebihan dan kekurangan merupakan suatu keburukan sedangkan sifat moderat (moderasi) adalah suatu kebajikan bahkan merupakan suatu keutamaan dalam sistem kejiwaan. Sikap ekstrem berlebihan ditandai dengan kegarangan perilaku, semena-mena, dan bebas berbuat sesuai dengan keinginan sendiri tanpa memandang norma yang berlaku. Hal tersebut bukanlah sikap lembut dari ajaran agama yang selalu menggabungkan nilai-nilai ke al-rahmat al-alamin yang seharusnya menjadi sikap sebagai seorang muslim. Penelitian ini bersifat kajian literatur, menggali sumber yang relevan seperti artikel, jurnal, buku, dan dokumen lain yang mendeskripsikan teori serta informasi baik masa lalu maupun saat ini mengorganisasikan pustaka ke dalam topik dan dokumen yang dibutuhkan. Dengan bersumber pada karya dan ajaran Ibnu Miskawaih yakni Tahdib al-Akhlaq wa Tathir al-A’raq Adapun pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan psikologis. Adapun temuan dari penelitian ini menghasilkan pernyataan, bahwa sikap moderasi apabila diimplementasikan secara khusus bagi individu akan menjadikan pribadi yang moderat terhadap nilai-nilai sosial, mental dan spiritual.

Abstract

Tantrums are often referred to as peaked emotions felt by children aged 2-6 years as a response to unpleasant situations, which can be manifested through behaviors such as rebelling, screaming, throwing things, rolling, and roaring. This study aims to examine the strategies and methods used by parents when dealing with tantrums in early childhood. This research was conducted qualitatively using a case study approach. Data were collected from three parents of young children in Kerinci Regency through observation, interviews and documentation. The thematic analysis model was used to analyze the data. The results of the study explain that there are several main strategies that can be applied by parents when dealing with tantrums in children by giving time for the child to calm down first, then hugging and inviting the child to talk about feelings and causes of tantrums. As well as consistency and patience of parents is the key to success in dealing with tantrums. Future researchers are advised to expand the research subjects and develop intervention programs that can help parents in dealing with tantrums.

Abstract

Difficulty counting in children aged 5-6 years is a challenge in cognitive development that can have an impact in their academic readiness. This research aims to analyze the factors that cause difficulties in counting among children in Pendung hilir Village, Air Hangat District, Kerinci Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of five children who had difficulty counting, while the informats were their parents. Data Was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results dhow that children’s numeracy difficulties are caused by four main factors. First, lack of practice in counting. Second, dependence on cell phones reduces children’s focus and motivation to learn. Third, children’s lack of interest in learning to count. Fourth, children’s learning styles are not given enough attention. This research confirms that to improve children’s numeracy skills, more interactive learning strategies are needed, such as educational games, visual aids, as well as active involvement of parents in guiding children. Eith a more appropriate approach, it is hoped that children will be better prepared to face the next level of education and have a better understanding of the concept of numbers.

Abstract

Background : Parenting styles and parental stress significantly impact the emotional development of young children. Authoritative parenting promotes better emotional regulation, while authoritarian and permissive styles may hinder it. This study examines these effects in Kerinci Regency, Indonesia.Aim : To investigate the relationship between parenting styles, parental stress, and the emotional state of children aged 0-6 years in Kerinci Regency.Method : A quantitative survey and correlational design were used, involving 57 parents of young children. Validated questionnaires assessed parenting styles, parental stress, and children's emotional regulation. Simple and multiple regression analyses were conducted.Result : Significant associations were found between parenting styles, parental stress, and children's emotional states. Authoritative parenting was linked to better emotional regulation, while authoritarian and permissive styles were linked to poorer emotional states. Higher parental stress correlated with worse emotional outcomes in children.Conclusion : Parenting style and stress significantly impact children's emotional health. Supportive parenting and effective stress management promote better emotional regulation. Interventions to support positive parenting and stress management are recommended for improving children's emotional well-being.

Abstract

The achievements of the Kerinci Regency MTQ caravan at the provincial level had been degraded from 10 districts and cities. Kerinci occupies the last rank, namely 10 in 2023, and in 2024 it would rank 7th. This study explores how to develop strategies for achieving the achievements of the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) caravan in the Kerinci district at the Jambi provincial level. This study used qualitative descriptive with semi-structured and unstructured data collection to explore data from participants by purposive sampling set by four people. The participant's names were created under a pseudonym to maintain their confidentiality. The results of the interviews were analyzed using the theories of data coding, theme identification, review, theme naming, and reporting. The results show the importance of an integrated strategy to improve the achievement of the Kerinci Regency Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) caravan at the Jambi Province level. The main steps include recruiting competent coaches, involving local and provincial coaches, and selecting potential participants to ensure the best quality. The coaching is carried out on an ongoing basis with a technical and mental approach, which local and provincial trainers coordinate. The coaching time is longer than six steps, with one wave lasting from five to 30 days and distributed within three months. Implementing a planned and directed strategy, Kerinci Regency has an excellent opportunity to improve the achievements of MTQ caravans sustainably at the provincial level to improve the achievements of MTQ caravans sustainably at the provincial level. Abstrak. Prestasi kafilah MTQ Kabupaten Kerinci di tingkat provinsi telah mengalami penurunan dari 10 kabupaten dan kota. Kerinci menempati peringkat terakhir, yaitu peringkat 10 pada tahun 2023, dan pada tahun 2024 mengalami perbaikan mendapatkan peringkat 7. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana mengembangkan strategi untuk mencapai prestasi kafilah Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) di Kabupaten Kerinci pada tingkat provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data semi-terstruktur dan tidak terstruktur untuk mengeksplorasi data dari peserta yang dipilih secara purposive sampling yang terdiri dari empat orang. Nama-nama peserta dibuat dengan menggunakan nama samaran untuk menjaga kerahasiaan mereka. Hasil wawancara dianalisis menggunakan teori pengkodean data, identifikasi tema, tinjauan, penamaan tema, dan pelaporan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya strategi terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan prestasi kafilah Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) Kabupaten Kerinci di tingkat Provinsi Jambi. Bagian pertama merekrut pelatih yang kompeten, melibatkan pelatih lokal dan provinsi, serta memilih peserta yang berpotensi untuk memastikan kualitas terbaik. Bagian kedua, pembinaan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dengan pendekatan teknis dan mental, yang dikoordinasikan oleh pelatih lokal dan provinsi. Waktu pembinaan lebih dari enam gelombang, dengan satu gelombang berlangsung dari lima hingga 30 hari dan dibagi dalam tiga bulan. Dengan menerapkan strategi yang terencana dan terarah, Kabupaten Kerinci memiliki peluang yang baik untuk meningkatkan prestasi kafilah MTQ secara berkelanjutan di tingkat provinsi.

Abstract

Emotional development in early childhood is crucial for children's understanding of themselves and their environment. This study aims to describe parental roles in helping 4ÔÇô6-year-old children recognize and manage negative emotions. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. Findings show that parents actively use visual media and physical activities to effectively support children's emotional regulation. The study highlights the importance of parental involvement in fostering emotional skills from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences between grandparents’ and parents’ parenting styles in shaping children’s discipline. The shifting caregiving roles in modern families, particularly due to parents’ work responsibilities, often place grandparents as the primary caregivers, leading to generational differences in values and approaches that may influence children’s discipline. This research employed a comparative quantitative approach involving 66 children in Koto Datuk Village. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, and data were collected through questionnaires based on discipline indicators proposed by Baumrind and Santrock. Data analysis was conducted using an Independent Sample t-Test through SPSS version 30. The findings reveal a significant difference between parents’ and grandparents’ parenting styles, where parents’ democratic parenting is more effective in fostering discipline compared to the more permissive approach typically practiced by grandparents. These results emphasize the importance of active parental involvement in childrearing and the need for educational support for grandparents as alternative caregivers in contemporary family settings.
