Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe politeness in language among teenagers in Kelurahan Kota Medan, Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of humility, the maxim of opportunity, and the maxim of agreement. The data collection techniques used in this study include observation techniques, then recording techniques and note-taking techniques. The subjects of this study were teenagers in Kelurahan Kota Medan, Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency. The data analysis method is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that teenagers in the Medan City Subdistrict, Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency apply politeness in language with the following six maxims: (1) the maxim of wisdom spoken by teenagers with teenagers, (2) the maxim of generosity spoken by teenagers with teenagers and teenagers with parents, (3) the maxim of praise spoken by teenagers with teenagers, (4) the maxim of humility spoken by teenagers with teenagers, (5) the maxim of agreement spoken by teenagers with teenagers with teenagers and teenagers with parents, and (6) the maxim of sympathy spoken by teenagers with teenagers.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini berjudul Pelatihan Pembuatan Alat Peraga Interaktif Berbasis EduGame Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Bagi Guru Sekolah Penggerak SD Negeri 149 Seluma di Era Merdeka Belajar. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk menambah kompetensi mengajar tenaga pendidik di Sekolah Penggerak SD Negeri 149 Seluma dalam membuat alat peraga pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan perkembangan saat ini yaitu lebih mengedepankan teknologi melalui media pembelajaran berbasis EduGame. Metode yang kami gunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah metode pelatihan dengan cara ceramah dan tanya jawab serta mengadakan praktek serta pendampingan langsung bagi para peserta pelatihan sehingga tujuan bisa tercapai maksimal. Kegiatan Pelatihan Pembuatan Alat Peraga Interaktif Berbasis EduGame Untuk Meningkatkan tingkat keterampilan dalam pembuatan bahan ajar pada tenaga pendidik  di Sekolah Penggerak SD Negeri 149 Seluma untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan tenaga pendidik dan rencana akan dilaksanakan pada Juni atau Agustus 2024. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah Tenaga Pendidik Sekolah Penggerak SD Negeri 149 Seluma berjumlah 14 orang Dari pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut bisa menjawab permasalahan yang ada, dimana manfaat yang  setelah mengikuti pelatihan adalah; (1)  Guru mulai menggunakan Alat Peraga Interaktif Berbasis EduGame yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses belajar mengajar, (2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan guru mengenai pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menunjang pembelajaran yang interaktif dan komunikatif, (3) Meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam hal mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang inovatif, dan (4) Membantu guru untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang berkualitas melalui Alat Peraga Interaktif Berbasis EduGame. Dengan hasil peningkatan sebelum pelatihan dengan setelah pelatihan 45% meningkat menjadi 83,5%.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the application of deixis by teachers and students of class VII SMP Negeri 7 Seluma in interactions learning Indonesian. The research method used is a descriptive method with data collection techniques namely observation techniques, note-taking techniques and recording techniques. The collected data is processed using 5 steps, namely 1) Data transcription; 2) Data identification; 3) Data classification; 4) Data interpretation; and 5) Conclusion. The results of the research found 3 types of deixis, namely personal deixis which is divided into three parts, including: singular first person deixis with the characteristic "I, I" and plural first person deixis with the characteristic "we, us", second singular person deixis with the characteristic " you, you, you" and plural second person deixis with the characteristics "you (all), you (all), you", third person singular deixis with the characteristics "he, he, her" and plural third person deixis with the characteristics "they" ; spatial deixis such as “here, there, to here, to there, from here, from there”; and time deixis such as "tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, later, later, earlier, yesterday, last week".

Abstract

Directive speech acts play an important role in the learning process, as they are used by teachers to direct, control, and manage students’ responses so that learning objectives can be achieved effectively. This study aims to characterize the directive speech acts used by teachers during learning activities at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu. The study focuses on issues related to the use of teachers’ directive speech acts in classroom learning at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu. A descriptive method was employed in this research. The study was conducted at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu, with data sources consisting of teachers’ directive utterances during Indonesian language learning activities. Data were collected through observation, audio recording, and field notes. Data analysis was carried out through several stages: (1) transcribing oral data into written form, (2) identifying data based on types of directive speech acts, (3) classifying data according to their categories, (4) interpreting the data, and (5) drawing conclusions. The results indicate that teachers’ directive speech acts in Indonesian language learning include (1) requests (requestives), (2) questions (questions), (3) commands (requirements), (4) prohibitions (prohibitives), (5) permissions (permissives), and (6) advice (advisories). In the context of learning at SLBN 5 Kota Bengkulu, these directive speech acts function to direct students’ attention, regulate learning behavior, and assist students in understanding learning instructions in accordance with the needs of students with special needs.
