Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak buah mengkudu yang disuplementasi Cu dan Zn dalam ransum terhadap bobot potong, karkas, giblet, dan lemak abdominal ayam Sentul. Penelitian menggunakan 100 DOC ayam Sentul yang dipelihara selama 12 minggu di Test Farm Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Padjadjaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dan 5 perlakuan, yaitu P0 sebagai kontrol (ransum basal/RB), P1 (RB + 50 mg/kg zinc bacitracin), P2 (RB + 125 mg/kg ekstrak mengkudu disuplementasi Cu, Zn), P3 (RB + 250 mg/kg ekstrak mengkudu disuplementasi Cu, Zn), P4 (RB + 375 mg/kg ekstrak mengkudu disuplementasi Cu, Zn). Perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali, ayam ditempatkan di kandang koloni di mana setiap kandang terdiri dari 5 ekor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak buah mengkudu yang disuplementasi Cu dan Zn dalam ransum sampai dengan level 375 mg/kg tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot potong, karkas, giblet, dan lemak abdominal pada ayam Sentul. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak buah mengkudu yang disuplementasi Cu dan Zn dalam ransum sampai dengan level 375 mg/kg memberikan performa yang sama dengan ayam Sentul yang diberikan antibiotik zinc bacitracin.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the student’s reading comprehension in recount text by using Concept Oriented Reading Instruction strategy. The research was classroom action research (CAR). It is divided into pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. The writer used test, observation, and interview as the instrument of collecting data. Based on the results of test showed that there was an improvement of students achievement in reading recount text. The mean of pre-test was 47, 82 then, the mean of the first cycle was 56,95 and in the cycle II was 82,60. It indicated that the scores in each cycle was increased and the mean score of post-test in cycle II were better than the mean of the post-test of cycle I. Based on observation and interview showed that most of the students had improvement motivation in learning reading. Moreover, CORI strategy can improve the learning motivation and achievement especially in comprehending recount text. The finding shows an improvement in student’s reading comprehension through Concept Oriented Reading Instruction (CORI) strategy. Thus, it can be concluded that the Concept Oriented Reading Instruction can improve the reading comprehension in recount text.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to read the Quran by TPQ teachers through Tahsin training, where it is hoped that TPQ teachers in Mojopuro Village can read the Quran with correct tajweed through intensive training classes guided by competent ustaz to ensure that the correct standards of reading the Quran can be applied. The service method in this program uses a Learning Service approach, namely with the Implementation Stages and Needs Identification, Program Planning, Training Implementation, Assistance and Evaluation, Learning Community Development, and Reflection and Report Preparation. The results of the service show that the TPQ teacher assistance program in improving the understanding of the Quran through the Tahsin and Tadabbur programs in Mojopuro Gresik Village has succeeded in achieving the expected goals. Periodic evaluations showed that the program was running as planned and achieved significant results with an evaluation score of 8.5 on a scale of 1-10, as well as an increase in teachers' confidence and competence from a scale of 5 before the program to 9 after the program. For program development, it is recommended to increase intensive practice and mentoring sessions, as well as continuous support from the community and service team.

Abstract

This study focuses on using an online SRL strategy to improve the writing skills of pesantren students. SRL strategy is used for learners to set a goal, plan, and integrate their learning independently. Data are collected from 131 university students of pesantren for 16 (sixteen) weeks. Two groups: experimental and control are the same duration, but only the experimental group receives the intervention. All groups get pre-and posttest writing as well as the SRL questionnaire. The findings demonstrate that when learners use SRL in writing skills on metacognitive, social behavior, and motivational control tactics, they are more engaged and driven. Furthermore, the SRL method can raise the level of linguistics.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of incorporating memory strategies to enhance students' vocabulary acquisition in an English course. The study followed a pre-experimental design and applied quantitative methods, which included three stages: pre-test assessment, memory strategy application, and post-test evaluation. The researcher used paired sample t-test analysis to assess the influence of memory methods on vocabulary acquisition, with a specific emphasis on the speaking phase. The research findings indicated a substantial enhancement in vocabulary learning, as shown by a considerable rise in the average score from 60.55 to 68.88. The reduction in standard deviation and standard error of mean further underscored the enhanced consistency and precision of the observed improvements. This research advises the ongoing incorporation of memory methods into language teaching. It offers educators and researchers invaluable information for developing dynamic and successful language learning settings. Therefore, it is essential to consider the constraints of this research. In addition, the findings of this research may serve as a foundation for the future development of more effective approaches to English language acquisition. The subsequent study is anticipated to examine the use of memory methods in a broader context of language acquisition.

Abstract

Reading is something that is very needed in our lives. By reading we will open the window of the world and if we can take wisdom from what we read, we will become a great and noble human being as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad. This study aims to determine whether there is a significant influence using metacognitive strategies for students’ reading comprehension in narrative texts. This study used a t-test experiment involving each individual in Grade VIII of SMP NU Panunggalan consisting of 34 students. The results showed that the mean score of the pre-test yielded 40.2941 and the average post-test post-test yielded 92.3529. The mean deviation produces a value of 52.05882, standard deviation produces a value of 21.85065 and produces a t-test of 13.892. T-table 5 % shows the number 2.032 and t-table 1% shows the number 2.738. Then it can be concluded that 2.032<13.892>2.738. These results show significant results from the experiments on the effectiveness of metacognitive strategies on students’ reading comprehension in narrative texts.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the Duolingo application affects students' vocabulary competence in the seventh grade in junior high school. Vocabulary is crucial for pupils to acquire since it helps them communicate. A quasi-experimental design was adopted, with 20 students as the experimental group and 20 as the control group. The result demonstrates that at the 5% significance level, to= 2.881 is greater than tta= 1.672. It suggests that utilizing the Duolingo program might improve pupils' vocabulary proficiency. Ho was refused but Ha was accepted.

Abstract

Moderate Islamic education, according to KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, seeks to address contemporary challenges while preserving the authenticity of Islamic teachings, remaining open to scientific advancements and differing opinions. The aim of this study is to explore the concept of moderate Islamic education developed by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari in Risalah Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah and to examine its relevance in the context of contemporary Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The findings indicate that Islamic education based on KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's concept of moderation can serve as a solution in shaping a generation of Muslims who are ethical, broad-minded, tolerant, and capable of facing modern challenges without losing the essence of moderate and inclusive Islamic teachings. Pendidikan Islam moderat menurut KH. Hasyim Asy’ari berupaya menjawab tantangan zaman dengan tetap menjaga keautentikan ajaran Islam, namun tetap terbuka terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan perbedaan pendapat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep pendidikan Islam moderat yang dikembangkan oleh KH. Hasyim Asy’ari dalam kitab Risalah Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah dan untuk mengetahui relevansi konsep pendidikan Islam moderat KH. Hasyim Asy’ari dalam konteks pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah pendidikan Islam yang berbasis pada konsep moderasi KH. Hasyim Asy’ari dapat menjadi solusi dalam membentuk generasi Muslim yang berakhlak, berwawasan luas, toleran, serta mampu menghadapi tantangan zaman tanpa kehilangan esensi ajaran Islam yang moderat dan inklusif.

Abstract

Background: Waqf plays an important role in the social life of the people and the Muslim community(Suryana, Ikram & Agustina, 2020) especially in the efforts to combat the poverty because of the scarcity of jobs and. Waqf which success in the history of Islam proves that Islam is able to provide solutions to social security and welfare to its adherents. Waqf in Islamic history is not only a pillar of the welfare of society or individuals, more than that waqf have become a pillar of the nation's economy in building the infrastructure, economy and durability. Objectives: This study analyzes the waqf’s role and impact on society welfare throughout world history and makes a deep study from Indonesia Novelty: Waqf’s role and impact are proven in building three major aspects of human life: economy, knowledge and human resources. Research Methodology / Design: Using triangulation method to increase the credibility and validity of the results by cross-verifying data from different sources or approaches. Findings: We find that waqf’s role and impact always develop from era to era. Waqf’s role in Indonesia has existed since Sultanate era. Masjid, pesantren and university are the most prominent institutions in developing waqf as a tool to enhance society welfare in modern era Implication: Based on the research, this research implications for waqf in unveiling waqf’s role and impact more specific and accurate can be consideration to make waqf as an important tool to enhance micro and macro aspects.
