Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of financial technology in increasing financial inclusion in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. This research uses mixed-method research with sequential mixed methods especially sequential explanatory strategy. In the first phase, 116 questionnaires were given to respondents as many as 116 MSMEs then conducted interviews with respondents and related parties in depth. Empirical evidence shows that the role of Financial Technology has a positive and significant effect on Financial Inclusion. These results indicate that fintech can increase financial inclusion. Based on interviews, fintech products that are often used by MSMEs are third-party payment systems and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) type of payment systems. Examples of platforms that are often used by MSMEs are Go food, Gopay, Grab food, OVO, JakOne, M-Banking, and SMS Banking. For the Crowdfunding fintech type, it has not been implemented by many MSMEs. The large number of MSME entrepreneurs who have used fintech products in their businesses shows that MSME entrepreneurs have used financial services in the form of savings accounts so that it has an impact on increasing financial inclusion. Suggestions from the results of this study are the Government needs to conduct regular training on the use of financial technology to MSME actors, there are strong synergy and cooperation in developing a fintech system to improve the digital economic system at MSMEs. Regulations need to be updated with the development of innovations.

Abstract

Abstract

Marketing workforce productivity has become an important organizational concern, particularly in increasingly competitive and digitally driven markets. This study aims to examine the effects of motivation, organizational climate, transformational leadership, and digital competence on the productivity of the marketing workforce, with work engagement as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory study was conducted among 223 marketing personnel of PT MKSA using a cross-sectional approach and proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicate that transformational leadership and digital competence positively influence work engagement, while motivation and organizational climate do not have significant effects. Regarding marketing workforce productivity, organizational climate and digital competence have significant positive effects, whereas motivation, transformational leadership, and work engagement do not. Furthermore, work engagement does not significantly mediate the relationships among motivation, organizational climate, transformational leadership, digital competence, and marketing workforce productivity. These findings indicate that factors contributing to employees' psychological engagement do not necessarily translate into measurable productivity outcomes. The study contributes to the Job Demands–Resources perspective by demonstrating that organizational and personal resources may operate differently across psychological and productivity outcomes. In practice, organizations should strengthen organizational climate and digital competence while integrating leadership development, digital capabilities, sales competencies, customer relationship management, and supportive work systems to improve the marketing workforce's productivity.

Abstract

This study examines how ICT infrastructure, digital adaptation, digital pedagogical competence, and transformational leadership contribute to junior high school teachers’ professionalism, with particular attention to the selective moderating role of transformational leadership. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitative data were obtained from 342 teachers, of which 301 screened responses were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The qualitative phase involved eight structured interviews with teachers and school leaders, which were analyzed thematically to explain significant, nonsignificant, and directionally unexpected statistical relationships. The model explained 62.9% of the variance in teacher professionalism. Digital adaptation (β = 0.304, p < 0.001) and transformational leadership (β = 0.328, p < 0.001) had significant positive effects, whereas ICT infrastructure and digital pedagogical competence were not significant predictors. Transformational leadership strengthened the relationship between digital adaptation and professionalism (β = 0.197, p = 0.005), attenuated the relationship between ICT infrastructure and professionalism (β = −0.202, p = 0.006), and did not significantly moderate the relationship between digital pedagogical competence and professionalism. The study’s novelty lies in proposing a selective adaptive-leadership mechanism that demonstrates how leadership can activate teachers’ adaptive capacity, reduce reliance on resource differences, or leave competence-based pathways unchanged, rather than uniformly strengthening all digital antecedents. Practically, the findings support continuous adaptive learning, instructional mentoring, collaborative professional development, and leadership-supported implementation routines. The findings are limited by the cross-sectional self-reported design, incomplete discriminant validity, small interaction effects, a limited number of qualitative participants, and a single urban educational context.
