Abstract

The objective of this research entitled “IMPROVING ENGLISH VOCABULARY BY USING TOTAL PHYSICAL RESPONSE (TPR) METHOD TO THE FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SDN PASIRKALIKI 1 CIMAHI” was to find out whether or not teaching English Vocabulary using Total Physical Response Method was effective to improve the students’ vocabulary ability. The research used quantitative method and one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this research was 31 of the fifth grade elementary school while the sample was entire population. They are consisted of 31 students. The data of this research were collected by giving pretest and posttest to the subject. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The results of the data analysis showed that: the mean score of pretest was 44.61, the mean score of posttest was 44.83, the tobs was 2.442, the tcritical value at the significance level 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) 30 was 2.042. Based on the data analysis above, the alternative hypothesis was accepted because the tobs was higher than t critical (2.442>2.042). It also meant that improving English vocabulary using Total Physical Response Method was effective to improve the students’ vocabulary ability. Keywords: Vocabulary, Total Physical Response Method

Abstract

The development of science and information technology today is more advanced. In a government agencies and non-government, information systems plays a very important to simplyfyof job. The data collection process of grants at the district office Gombong still manual by using Microsoft Word, so that the collected data results are less than the maximum, less effective time. To solve the problem above, the authors designed a systeminformation of village grants using Borland Delphi 7.0 at the district office gombong. With the system can facilitate the admin to collecting data and making the report of creation grants.

Abstract

R.H. Bridge Fisabilillah (Bridge I) is a cable-stayed bridge, included in the series of Barelang Bridges (Batam-Rempang-Galang) which were built from 1992 to 1998. With the service life of the bridge reaching 25 years, it is necessary to check the health condition of the bridge structure. Bridge cables are one of the most important elements of a cable-stayed bridge. These cable elements dominantly experience tensile forces when transmitting loads from the decks to the bridge pylons. Cable force inspection methods can be carried out through the direct measurement method (e.g. static test using a lift-off method) and indirect measurement (e.g. dynamic test using accelerometer sensors, electromagnetic/EM sensors, and so on). This study aims to compare the cable tensile force based on the static test (lift-off method) in 2017 against the dynamic test (accelerometer sensors) in 2022. Evaluation of the cable tensile force based on the dynamic test was carried out using the taut string theory and beam string theory approaches. From the study, the two empirical approaches yielded insignificantly different results where a difference in the mean difference of -1,71% was found with a maximum difference of 28,15%. The study also shows an increase in cable force capacity to a maximum of 47,20% UTS (ultimate tensile strength) based on the taut string theory and a maximum of 53.37% UTS based on the beam string theory. This value is greater when compared to the results of the cable force based on the static test (lift-off) in 2017, which was a maximum of 41.64% UTS. It is recommended to carry out further and more comprehensive studies to determine the effect of changes in cable force distribution on the behavior of the structure on the R.H. Fisabilillah Bridge.

Abstract

Developing digital library collections is essential in providing quality services to users. In this digital era, libraries must continue to consider the legal, ethical, and user needs implications associated with using digital resources. This research explores the basic theory of developing influential digital library collections to minimize possible obstacles. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review. This research highlights that digital collection development requires ongoing efforts to ensure optimal relevance and availability of information for users. The research results show that various methods, such as direct procurement, collaboration, and digitalization, are used to increase the effectiveness of digital collection development in libraries. Librarians must consider appropriate collection development strategies to increase information accessibility and meet user needs in the digital era. Thus, the development of digital library collections plays an essential role in maintaining the relevance and quality of library services.

Abstract

Primary education plays an important role in preparing the younger generation to face future challenges. In the context of art education, understanding the periodization of children's art is the key for educators in teaching art appropriately according to the stage of children's development. This research aims to develop learning media that can strengthen the understanding of prospective educators about the periodization of children's arts. This research uses a research and development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Data analysis includes evaluations of the product assessment and learning outcomes. The data analysis process uses a descriptive quantitative method. The results of the study indicate that the developed learning media can improve students' understanding of children's art periodization. Prior to using the media, most students had not yet achieved learning mastery, but after using the media, 31 out of 32 students achieved mastery. Expert validation shows that the developed media and material are very feasible to use. Therefore, this learning media has proven effective in improving learning outcomes and understanding of children's art periodization

Abstract

Dasar seni rupa sangat penting karena merupakan fondasi yang mendasari pemahaman dan pengembangan keterampilan dalam berkarya seni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menyusun e-modul dasar seni rupa yang sesuai untuk mahasiswa program studi PGSD di mata kuliah Pendidikan Seni Rupa SD, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan penerapan e-modul dasar seni rupa untuk pembelajaran di kelas, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kelayakan e-modul dasar seni rupa yang disusun untuk mahasiswa program studi PGSD Universitas Mataram. Hasil penilaian e-modul didapatkan melalui validasi ahli media, juga penilaian dari mahasiswa. Berdasarkan rata-rata hasil penilaian, e-modul dasar seni rupa termasuk dalam kategori yang “sangat layak” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas.Abstract. The foundation of visual arts is very important as it serves as the basis for understanding and developing skills in creating art. This study aims to develop an e-module on the basics of visual arts that is suitable for students in the PGSD program (Primary School Teacher Education) in the course of Visual Arts Education for Elementary School. It also aims to assess and describe the application of the e-module for classroom learning, as well as evaluate the feasibility of the e-module designed for PGSD students at the University of Mataram. The evaluation of the e-module was obtained through media expert validation and student assessments. Based on the average evaluation results, the e-module on the basics of visual arts falls into the category of "very feasible" to be used as a teaching media in the classroom.

Abstract

Data processing at PT Care Spunbond already uses semi-computerization, but in recording leave data processing still uses a leave form in the form of HVS paper as the medium and is processed or inputted into Microsoft Excel, causing several problems (constraints) including a long time in terms of making reports because (must recap the data on the results of one leave application) one by one must recap the results of the data for submitting leave (applications for leave). Looking at the problems faced, it is very necessary to have a system that makes it easier to make reports so that it doesn't take a long time, the process of submitting leave and inputting results becomes easier, and providing up-to-date report information, as well as minimizing errors in reporting.

Abstract

Sama Guna tourist village in North Lombok Regency has great natural and cultural tourism potential. However, limitations in promotion are a major challenge for the village to attract more tourists. One solution that can be done is to make an informative and interesting village profile video. This community service activity is in the form of mentoring and making a video profile of Sama Guna Tourism Village. This activity actively involves the local community to explore the potential of the village, build promotional narratives, and produce profile videos that authentically represent the village identity. The service method adopts the Participatory Action Research (PAR) service model, with stages including preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in community understanding of the importance of digital promotional media, as well as producing profile videos that are ready to be used to promote tourist villages on various platforms.

Abstract

INLISlite mendukung pengelolaan koleksi, peminjaman, dan akses informasi secara digital, mempercepat proses, dan meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Kualititatif dan sumber data diperoleh dari studi literatur terkait dengan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Pemanfaatan INLISlite di Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Sumatera Barat sejak 2010 mempercepat pengelolaan koleksi, sirkulasi, dan layanan digital berbasis Teknologi Informasi. Aplikasi ini meningkatkan efisiensi layanan, mempermudah pekerjaan pustakawan, dan memudahkan masyarakat dalam mengakses katalog serta melakukan peminjaman buku secara online. Meskipun memberikan banyak manfaat, tantangan seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan pelatihan pustakawan masih ada. Penerapan INLISlite telah berkontribusi pada digitalisasi perpustakaan dan peningkatan kualitas layanan, diharapkan pengembangan infrastruktur dan pelatihan lebih lanjut dapat mempercepat kemajuan sistem, meningkatkan akses informasi, dan mendukung literasi di Indonesia.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) was implemented to support the empowerment of a group of lobster farmers in Sawarna Village, who face various challenges in managing their farming business. The problems faced by lobster farmer groups in the village are lack of access to stable energy and limited management knowledge, which has an impact on the sustainability of the lobster farming business. The purpose of this service is to improve the knowledge and skills of lobster farmers in business management and adopt renewable energy technology as a solution to limited energy access. The method used in this activity is the Participatory Rural Appraisal approach, which involves farmers actively through socialisation, training, technology application, mentoring, and continuous program evaluation. The results of this service showed an increase in the ability of partners in business management, digital marketing, and the application of renewable energy technology in the form of solar power systems to support cultivation operations. In addition, there was a significant improvement in the quality of management after the training, with participants showing improved financial, marketing, and operational management. The conclusion of this activity is that the application of renewable energy technology and improved management capacity through training and mentoring can successfully support the sustainability of the lobster farming business in Sawarna Village, thus helping farmers to face the environmental and economic challenges faced in the long term.
