Abstract

ABSTRACT Postoperative fracture patients are prone to immobilization problems due to the appearance of pain so they feel afraid to move their limbs. Activity exercises that can be done for patients with postoperative lower extremity fractures are Range of Motion (ROM). The purpose of this review is to identify the effect of ROM intervention to increase Activity Daily Living (ADL) in lower extremity post-op patients. This research uses narrative review method. Literature search from the EBSCOhost, Garuda, and Google Scholar databases with the keywords ROM OR Range of Motion OR Range Of Movement” AND “Post-operative fracture OR Post-op Fractures” AND “Lower limb OR leg OR knee OR foot OR tibia OR femur” AND “Activity daily living OR Activity daily care OR ADL''. Articles were selected using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The results obtained were 5 articles that discussed ROM interventions to improve ADL. There are interventions in the form of active ROM and passive ROM. The conclusion that from the five articles analyzed, it was found that ROM intervention can be given to postoperative lower extremity fracture patients because it can improve ADL by reducing muscle and joint stiffness and preventing muscle atrophy in patients. Keyword: Activity Daily Living, Lower Limb, Range Of Motion. OR Range of Motion OR Range Of Movement” AND  “Post-operative fracture OR Post-op Fractures” AND “Lower limb OR leg OR knee OR foot OR tibia OR femur” AND “Activity daily living OR Activity daily care OR ADL’’. Kata Kunci:Aktivitas Harian, Ekstremitas Bawah, Range of Motion.

Abstract

The emergence of various obstacles and challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic can affect the performance of lecturers in carrying out their duties. The dversity quotient is one of the factors that supports one's success in improving one's performance, so measuring the adversity quotient is the first step to discover lecturers' ability to face obstacles and challenges. This study aims to describe the level of adversity quotient for lecturers at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Padjadjaran during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The subjects studied were 39 nursing faculty lecturers. The instrument used is ARP (Adversity Response Profile) Quick Take TM modified with 40 statement items. The results showed that 23 people (59%) were at the camper-to-climber transition level, two people (5%) were at the camper level, and 14 people (36%) were at the climber level. Based on the sub-dimensions, it is known that the dimensions with the lowest and lowest average values are origin and ownership (37.41) and control (42.53). Lecturers must increase the adversity quotient to help control the challenges they face better. Efforts that can be made are by studying and practicing the LEAD method (Listen, Explore, Analyze, Do). With a good level of adversity quotient, it is hoped that lecturers will be more prepared and maximal in completing assignments, especially related to learning.

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 is a virus that attacks the human respiratory system and is more at risk of attacking someone with a low immunity level. Apart from having a physical impact, COVID-19 also has a psychological impact. Those impacts need efforts to increase immunity and psychological well-being. The effort that we can make is through a sports program. The right kind of exercise is a moderate-intensity exercise that involves thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, such as yoga, meditation, and Tai Chi. Purpose: This article aims to analyze the effect of Tai Chi on increasing immunity and psychological well-being in the New Normal era. Methods: This article uses the narrative review method with the keyword "(People OR Adult OR Young Adult AND Tai Chi AND Immunity OR Psychological well being). The databases used were Cochrane, EBSCO, Pubmed, and Taylor Francis. 9 articles were obtained, which were then re-selected based on predetermined criteria. Article selection is also carried out using JBI to ensure the articles' quality is appropriate. Results: A literature search resulted in 9 articles showing that Tai Chi has benefits for improving psychological well-being, immunity, and physical function. Conclusion: Tai Chi can improve immunity, physical functioning, and psychological well-being when it occurs regularly. This benefit helps overcome the impact and prevention of COVID-19. Tai Chi programs are relatively easy to do at home and do not need to spend money. Apply quickly and become an effective solution. People OR Adult OR Young Adult AND Tai Chi AND Immunity OR Psychological well being).
