Abstract

The Influence of Guided Inquiry Learning Model toward The Interest of Learning Study of Biology Student Cross-Interest. This quasy Experiment research aims to determine the influence of guided inquiry learning model toward the interest of biology students learning cross-interest involving 66 high school students in Tenggarong Seberang. The research design used non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis of the increase ofstudents’ learning interest in the application of this learning model was obtained from the mean of N-Gain, while the influence of inquiry learning model was guided against the interest of learning done through t-test for normal distributed data and U Mann-Whitney U test for abnormally distributed data. Based on data analysis, it was found that biology learning interest score after learning process in experiment and control class was significantly different (sig. (2- tailed) <0.05). In addition, there was an increase in student interest in the low category but significantly different (U test = 257.0 <Utabel = 818). Keyword: Guided inquiry, cross-interest, interest in learning.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v8.i1.201803

Abstract

To maximize production, catfish farmers must optimize feed quality as one of the key factors supporting catfish growth and development. This study aimed to analyze the effect of adding singkil leaf flour (Premna corymbosa) to feed on the growth performance of Sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus var. Sangkuriang). The research was conducted from February to April using a randomized group design with four treatments and six replications. The treatments consisted of 100% pellets (P1), 100% singkil leaf flour (P2), 80% pellets + 20% singkil leaf flour (P3), and 70% pellets + 30% singkil leaf flour (P4). The analysis of singkil leaf flour showed a moisture content of 6.5%, ash content of 9.3%, protein 2.6%, fat 0.7%, and total carbohydrates 80.9%. The best growth performance was observed in the P3 treatment (80% pellets + 20% singkil leaf flour). It can therefore be concluded that singkil leaf flour alone cannot serve as an alternative single feed for catfish; however, it can be effectively used as a supplementary ingredient at a maximum proportion of 20% in combination with pellets.

Abstract

This study uses the type of development research by adapting the model designed by Borg and Gall (1983) by making modifications. This research developed a product in the form of a learning plan of the Human Reproductive System material with the application of social Emotional Competency (KSE) differentiation learning which was developed specifically with the hope of increasing learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of class IX students in the subject of the reproductive system at SMP Negeri 2 Intu Lingau, West Kutai Regency. The development procedure in this study includes seven stages, namely the preliminary stage, planning, developing the initial product form, initial field testing, main product revision, final product testing, and dissemination. The research instruments used in this study were: Questionnaire sheets validating the assessment of science learning tools, Questionnaire sheets for social emotional attitudes, observation sheets for the implementation of learning, and giving test questions. This development research used Aiken’s V data analysis technique to determine the validation value of learning tools and determine the student Gain to analyze students thinking skills. From the results of this study it was found that science learning tools with social emotional competence (KSE) which include syllabus, lesson plant, worksheets, assessment instruments, and teaching materials about the human reproductive system are appropriate based on the value of Aiken’s V validation coefficient. Development of learning Outcomes significantly in the experimental class based on the gain scores obtained.
