Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. Kalakai leaf is one of the plants formulated as a traditional remedy to address Diabetes Mellitus. One of the compounds found in Kalakai leaf extract is flavonoids, which act as antioxidants and help reduce blood glucose levels. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of ethanol extract of Kalakai leaf on blood glucose reduction in male white rats induced by glucose. This experimental study employed a pre-test and post-test control group design. Kalakai leaf was used as the sample, and 15 male white rats were divided into 5 groups, each consisting of 3 rats. Group 1 was given a treatment of CMC suspension, Group 2 received glibenclamide suspension, Group 3 was treated with 50 mg/kgBB of Kalakai leaf ethanol extract, Group 4 received 100 mg/kgBB of Kalakai leaf ethanol extract, and Group 5 was given 150 mg/kgBB of Kalakai leaf ethanol extract. The results of this study showed that Kalakai leaf ethanol extract had an effect on lowering blood glucose levels. However, the extract at a dose of 150 mg/kgBB was more effective in significantly reducing blood glucose levels compared to the 50 mg/kgBB and 100 mg/kgBB doses. This study concludes that Kalakai leaf ethanol extract has the potential to lower blood glucose levels in male white rats induced by glucose.

Abstract

The waiting time for medication services is the period required from the patient submitting a prescription to receiving the medication. The Ministry of Health has set a minimal standard of < 30 minutes for non-compounded prescriptions and < 60 minutes for compounded prescriptions. This study aims to determine the percentage of waiting times for outpatient prescription services at Citra Husada Hospital, Kotawaringin Barat. This descriptive study was conducted through direct observation and recording of the waiting time in the waiting time log form during April 2024. A total of 160 non-compounded prescriptions and 30 compounded prescriptions were analyzed. The average time required to process non-compounded prescriptions during the morning shift was 23.6 minutes, while the time for compounded prescriptions was 45 minutes. During the afternoon shift, the average time for noncompounded prescriptions was 23 minutes, and for compounded prescriptions, it was 47 minutes. The results of this study show that the average waiting time for prescription services at Citra Husada Hospital, Kotawaringin Barat, meets the minimum service standards set by the hospital.

Abstract

Pelayanan Informasi Obat (PIO) merupakan kegiatan pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh Apoteker untuk memberi informasi obat secara akurat, tidak bias dan terkini kepada pasien, dokter, apoteker, perawat, profesi kesehatan lainnya. Penyebab ketidakpatuhan tersebut salah satunya disebabkan kurangnya informasi tentang obat. Upaya untuk menunjang pelayanan yang bermutu tinggi di Instalasi Farmasi RSUD Sultan Imanuddin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui realisasi pelayanan informasi obat kepada pasien di RSUD Sultan Imanuddin jika dibandingkan dengan target yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini non eksperimental yang bersifat deskriptif, dengan mencatat secara sistematis menggunakan check list yang berisi komponen informasi obat dengan sebanyak 100 responden. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan yaitu coding dan tabulating. Hasil dari penelitian ini secara garis besar kegiatan pelayaanan informasi obat (PIO) secara keseluruhan 5% belum lengkap sesuai dengan standar prosedur operasional (SPO). Presentase kelengkapan informasi obat yang diberikan oleh apoteker kepada pasien yaitu nama obat sebesar 13 %, dosis obat sebesar 27 %, aturan pakai sebesar 100 %, rute pakai sebesar 99 %, cara simpan sebesar 67 %, dan indikasi sebesar 98%.
