Abstract

Stunting atau ganguan tumbuh kembang anak dapat disebabkan oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah anemia pada ibu hamil. Anemia merupakan kondisi dimana tubuh kekurangan sel darah merah atau hemoglobin (Hb). Kelompok yang rentan mengalami anemia adalah ibu hamil karena kebutuhan tubuh ibu akan zat besi meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya usia kehamilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan sosiodemografi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dalam penggunaan tablet tambah darah pada ibu hamil. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif observational dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 80 orang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dengan teknik probability sampling yaitu consecutive random sampling. Pada penelitian ini, Kriteria inklusi yaitu ibu hamil yang mengunjungi puskesmas dan bersedia menjadi responden penelitian dengan usia 19-25 tahun. Pada penelitian ini kriteria eksklusi adalah Ibu hamil yang memiliki kondisi medis tertentu, seperti thalasemia, hemofilia, dan penyakit ginjal. Analisa data menggunakan Analisa univariat dan bivariat untuk melihat gambaran sosiodemografi dan pengetahuan ibu hamil dalam menggunakan tablet tambah darah. Dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan sosiodemografi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan.

Abstract

Penelitian observasional dilakukan terhadap 83 sampel pasien hipertensi diabetes melitus di RSUD Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun periode Januari-Desember 2023 dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengambilan dan pengumpulan data dilakukan secara retrospektif dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling karena pencarian dilakukan terhadap data lampau yaitu melalui rekam medis. Terapi antihipertensi tunggal yang paling banyak digunakan adalah kelompok ARB, sebanyak 21 pasien menggunakan obat candesartan. Terapi kombinasi yang paling umum digunakan adalah kelompok ARB-CCB dengan obat candesartan – diltiazem pada 27 pasien. Rata-rata luaran klinis candesartan diperoleh dengan tekanan darah 135/84 mmHg, KGD 171 mg/dl LOS 3 hari untuk terapi tunggal, dan luaran klinis terapi kombinasi candesartan -diltiazem rata-rata tekanan darah 135/80 mmHg, KGD 161 mg/dl. dl LOS 4 hari, dan hasil klisin 3 kombinasi Candesartan-diltiazem-bisoprolol menunjukkan rata-rata tekanan darah 123/84 mmHg KGD 160 mg/dl LOS 4 hari. Pola penggunaan obat antihipertensi pada pasien hipertensi disertai diabetes mellitus meliputi terapi antihipertensi tunggal (40%) dan kombinasi (60%), dengan obat antihipertensi yang paling sering digunakan adalah candesartan (1 x 16 mg) per oral (25,3%) dan banyak kombinasi obat antihipertensi. yang digunakan yaitu candesartan + Diltiazem (32,5%). Kata Kunci : Pola Pemakaian, Obat, Antihipertensi, Deskriptif.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by increased blood sugar levels or hyperglycemia. The sengkubak plant (Pycnarrhena cauliflora (Miers.) Diels) which contains flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, and saponins. This study to determine the antihyperglycemic activity of the ethanol extract of sengkubak leaves and to obtain the effective dose of the ethanolic extract of sengkubak leaves on alloxan-induced male white mice. The study used 30 male white mice (Mus musculus L.) which were divided into 6 groups normal control, negative control (CMC-Na 0.5%), and positive control (glibenclamide 0.65 mg/Kg BW), and the three test groups were given ethanol extract of mangosteen leaves with various doses of 200, 400, 800 mg/KgBW. All groups were induced with alloxan monohydrate at a dose of 70mg/KgBW in mice intraperitoneally. Sengkubak leaf extract was macerated using 96% ethanol. The parameters measured included blood sugar levels. The treatment was given for 21 days. The data obtained were analyzed using the One Way ANOVA. The results obtained are sengkubak leaf extract has antihyperglycemic activity in alloxan-induced male white mice. Sengkubak leaf extract at a dose of 800 mg/KgBW showed an effective dose in lowering blood sugar levels.

Abstract

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) occur due to the integration between production and excretion of antioxidants in the body, and the accumulation of ROS in tissues can cause oxidative stress. Free radicals are known to be dangerous and threaten human health. Compounds that can inhibit the activity of free radicals are antioxidants. Saluang balum roots (Lavanga sarmentosa (Blume) Kurz) are traditional medicines that have the potential as antioxidants with flavonoid, steroid and tannin compounds. The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of saluang balum roots. Testing of antioxidant activity against ethanol extract and saluang balum root fractions was carried out using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhidrazyl) method. The results showed that the group of extracts and fractions of saluang balum roots had antioxidant activity. The ethyl acetate fraction had good antioxidant activity with an active category having an IC50 value of 84.24 (IC50 value, 50-100).

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. Kalakai leaf is one of the plants formulated as a traditional remedy to address Diabetes Mellitus. One of the compounds found in Kalakai leaf extract is flavonoids, which act as antioxidants and help reduce blood glucose levels. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of ethanol extract of Kalakai leaf on blood glucose reduction in male white rats induced by glucose. This experimental study employed a pre-test and post-test control group design. Kalakai leaf was used as the sample, and 15 male white rats were divided into 5 groups, each consisting of 3 rats. Group 1 was given a treatment of CMC suspension, Group 2 received glibenclamide suspension, Group 3 was treated with 50 mg/kgBB of Kalakai leaf ethanol extract, Group 4 received 100 mg/kgBB of Kalakai leaf ethanol extract, and Group 5 was given 150 mg/kgBB of Kalakai leaf ethanol extract. The results of this study showed that Kalakai leaf ethanol extract had an effect on lowering blood glucose levels. However, the extract at a dose of 150 mg/kgBB was more effective in significantly reducing blood glucose levels compared to the 50 mg/kgBB and 100 mg/kgBB doses. This study concludes that Kalakai leaf ethanol extract has the potential to lower blood glucose levels in male white rats induced by glucose.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and oxidative stress, leading to pancreatic ?-cell damage. Kelakai leaves (Stenochlaena palutris) contain bioactive compounds with potential antidiabetic effects. This study aimed to evaluate the antihyperglycemic activity, antioxidant effects, and ?-cell regeneration of ethanol extract and fractions of kelakai leaves in STZ-NA-induced rats. Methods: Ethanol extract of kelakai leaves was fractionated into n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and water fractions. Male Wistar rats were divided into 7 groups (n=6): healthy control, negative control (STZ-NA), positive control (glibenclamide), and treatment groups with extract or fractions. Blood glucose levels were measured on days 0, 7, and 14. Antioxidant parameters (MDA and SOD) were analyzed using commercial kits. ?-cell regeneration was assessed via pancreatic histopathology.Results: Administration of ethanol extract and fractions significantly reduced blood glucose (p<0.05), enhanced antioxidant activity (decreased MDA, increased SOD, CAT, GSH), and improved pancreatic ?-cell histology. The ethyl acetate fraction exhibited the best effects across all parameters. Conclusion: Ethanol extract and fractions of kelakai leaves possess antihyperglycemic and antioxidant properties and support pancreatic ?-cell regeneration in type 2 diabetic rats.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM endokrinologis) is a disease or abnormality metabolic disorder is a group of heterogeneous where impaired insulin secretion can cause high blood glucose levels (abnormal settled) and glucose intolerance. It is characterized by abnormally high blood sugar (hiperglikemia). Hiperglikemia is a situation where patients fasting blood sugar levels rose above 110 mg / dl blood sugar levels and 2 hours after eating (PP) above 140 mg / dl. The discovery of herbal ingredients for antihyperglycemia is very necessary because diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the world. Blumea balsamifera leaf extract (BBLE) is known to be able to lower blood sugar levels because it has metabolite compounds that play a role in lowering blood sugar levels. Objective to evaluate the antihyperglycemic activity of ethanol extract and various fractions of sembung leaves (Blumea balsamifera) against streptozotocin-nicotinamide-induced rats. Method: This study used a randomized post-test only control group. Extraction was carried out using ethanol, then evaporated. Fractionation was carried out using the liquid-liquid extraction method, using water, ethyl acetate and n-hexane as solvents. For 10 days, 30 male Wistar rats were adapted, then their blood sugar levels were measured 2 hours after measuring their blood sugar levels, the test animals were given stz-na then left for 2 weeks after being given stz-na, when the blood sugar levels of the test animals were above 200 then given ethanol extract, water fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, n-hexane fraction and glibenclamide as positive controls and observed for 2 weeks until the blood sugar levels of the test animals could return to normal or below 200. Ethanol extract, n-hexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, water fraction and positive control are able to reduce blood sugar levels as seen from the following percentage reduction extract of 47.46 on day 17 and percentage reduction on day 24 of 75.62. n-hexane fraction of 46.19 on day 17 and percentage reduction on day 24 of 74.22. Ethyl acetate fraction of 51.22 on day 17 and percentage reduction on day 24 of 82.47. Water fraction of 56.46 on day 17 and percentage reduction on day 24 of 84.48. Positive control (glibenclamide) of 54.85 on day 17 and percentage reduction on day 24 of 83.17. Ethanol extract and fractions of sembung leaves (Blumea balsamifera (L.) DC) have antihyperglycemic activity against streptozotocin-nicotinamide-induced mice, and the best in reducing blood sugar levels in mice is the water fraction group followed by positive control and the next sequence is the ethyl acetate

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Kosmetika digunakan pada bagian luar tubuh, seperti bibir dan organ genital eksternal. Lip Cream adalah produk semi-padat yang mengandung pewarna dan bahan dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengevaluasi penggunaan ekstrak buah tomat (Lycopersicum Esculentum Mill) sebagai pewarna alami, dan 2) menilai pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat terhadap sifat fisik dan efektivitas Lip Cream. Metode: Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental. Buah tomat dimacerasi menggunakan pelarut 96% dan dipadatkan untuk mendapatkan ekstrak kental. Formulasi Lip Cream dievaluasi untuk sifat organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, dan daya lekat, diikuti dengan uji iritasi pada kelinci. Hasil: Lip Cream dengan ekstrak buah tomat memenuhi kriteria organoleptis, tanpa perubahan pada tekstur, warna, atau aroma. Uji homogenitas menunjukkan tidak adanya partikel kasar, dan pH berada dalam rentang yang dapat diterima (4,5 – 6,5). Produk menempel dengan baik dan memiliki daya sebar yang efektif, memenuhi standar daya lekat (lebih dari 4 detik) dan daya sebar (5 – 7 cm). Uji hedonik memuaskan, dan uji iritasi menunjukkan tidak ada iritasi signifikan pada kelinci, menunjukkan sifat non-iritasi. Kesimpulan: Formulasi Lip Cream dengan ekstrak buah tomat stabil, tanpa perubahan pada aroma, warna, atau tekstur seiring waktu. Produk ini tergolong “iritasi ringan” berdasarkan uji iritasi primer, menunjukkan kesesuaiannya sebagai pewarna alami. Kata Kunci: Ekstrak Buah Tomat, Uji Iritasi, Lip Cream

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Penyakit kulit merupakan suatu kondisi dimana terjadi permasalahan pada lapisan terluar tubuh seseorang, seperti iritasi atau alergi. Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang digunakan sebagai obat. Salah satu manfaat pegagan adalah sifat antibakterinya. Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb) mengandung zat antibakteri seperti flavonoid, saponin, tanin, fenol, dan steroid yang memberikan efek antibakteri. 1).Mengetahui mutu fisik  sabun cair ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb). 2). Mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri sabun cair ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Metode : Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian Eksperimental Laboraturium. Ekstraksi daun pegagan dilakukan secara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% dan dipekatkan hingga didapat ekstrak kentalnya. Hasil zona hambat aktivitas bakteri staphylococcus aureus yang diperoleh akan dihitung nilai rata – ratanya.  Hasil : Sediaan sabun cair ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb) mampu menghambat aktivitas antibakteri pada F1 (2,5%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori lemah, F2 (5%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori lemah, F3 (7,5%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori lemah, F4 (0%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori tidak ada. Kesimpulan : 1). Uji aktivitas sabun cair ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb) dengan bahan baku minyak kelapa murni memenuhi uji stabilitas fisik dan efektivitas sabun cair. 2). Sediaan sabun cair ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica (L)Urb) mampu menghambat aktivitas antibakteri pada F1 (2,5%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori lemah, F2 (5%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori lemah, F3 (7,5%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori lemah, F4 (0%) memiliki aktivitas antibakteri kategori tidak ada.
