Abstract

This study aims to investigate the management practices and promotion strategies implemented by the principal at Karungan 2 elementary school. A qualitative approach was used in this study, with data collection through interviews, observations and document analysis. Using qualitative methods makes it easier for researchers to process the data taken. The first objective is to describe school management practices, and the results of the analysis show that teacher resource management still needs to be improved, while curriculum planning and the organisation of extracurricular activities have been done well. The second objective was to identify the promotional strategies implemented, and the findings showed success in co-operation with the school  committee  and  participation  in  community  activities,  although  there  was  a  need  to improve parental involvement and communication with the surrounding community. The discussion of the findings involved expert opinions and a review of journal articles, underlining the importance of judicious budget allocation and parental involvement in effective school promotion. This research provides valuable insights for the improvement and development of school management and promotion practices at Karungan 2 elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain some of the problems of hate speech carried out on social media; the author also tries to explain some recommendations that can potentially overcome hate speech carried out on social media. The data collection in this article was conducted through a literature study, and the result was that the current phenomenon is that social media users are more willing to express opinions or comment on other people who are not even known personally. The death of Sulli, a Korean idol, in October 2019 due to depression due to continuously receiving hate speech messages on her social media account became the most shocking case. In Indonesia, hate speech cases are dominated by defamation, harassment, slander, provocation, and threats against individuals and groups. There are at least four recommended solutions to this problem; the first is related to government regulations. Secondly, it is necessary to hold socialization, whether carried out by Digital Literacy activists, academics, or anyone who can influence the surrounding environment; socialization is not only carried out directly but is carried out on social media in the form of disseminating content. Third, the features of social media should be maximized because, currently, various types of social media have provided features to reduce negative comments, such as comment filters, spam reports, and several other features. And the last one is related to the ethics of interpersonal communication on social media.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan media YouTube dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi, khususnya keterampilan berbicara di depan umum, pada siswa kelas 5 SD di masa pandemi COVID-19. Dalam situasi pembelajaran daring yang menjadi keharusan, media YouTube digunakan sebagai sarana inovatif untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran praktik pidato. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan studi literatur yang diintegrasikan dengan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan praktis bagi guru dan siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dengan memberikan contoh video pidato dari YouTube, diikuti dengan tugas pembuatan dan pengunggahan video pidato oleh siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan berbicara siswa, terutama dalam hal kejelasan penyampaian, penggunaan bahasa yang tepat, serta pengendalian emosi dan ekspresi. Meskipun ada beberapa kendala teknis dan psikologis, solusi yang diterapkan berhasil mengatasi tantangan tersebut, dan siswa memperoleh keterampilan baru dalam mengoperasikan teknologi digital. Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan YouTube dalam pembelajaran pidato terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa serta memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menarik dan bermanfaat di era digital.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of integrated digital marketing communication in enhancing visitor attraction and promoting sustainability in Sumberbulu Tourism Village, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. Drawing on a qualitative research design, the study employs literature review, field observations, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions with key stakeholders including village managers, local government representatives, and community members. The findings reveal that digital platforms—such as Instagram, Google Business, and Traveloka—are strategically used to promote cultural and ecological attractions. However, the digital marketing strategy faces challenges, including limited infrastructure, human resource capacity, and government support. To address these constraints, collaborative initiatives involving academic institutions and training programs have been implemented to improve digital literacy and promotional capabilities. The study also highlights the critical role of local community participation, particularly in tourism service delivery, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation. Women's involvement and community-based economic activities further reinforce the village's sustainability goals. The integration of digital technologies with community engagement and government support reflects the principles of community-based sustainable tourism (CBST). The study contributes to the academic discourse on rural tourism marketing and offers practical insights for policymakers and tourism managers aiming to enhance sustainable destination development. Future research should incorporate comparative studies across regions and include digital content creators and tourists to deepen understanding of participatory digital communication strategies in sustainable tourism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN 2 Purwawinangun Kecamatan Kuningan Kabupaten Kuningan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran project based learning dan variabel terikatnya adalah siswa kelas V SDN 2 Purwawinangun tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Dengan jumlah keseluruhan 50 siswa, yang terdiri dari 26 siswa kelas VA sebagai kelas kontrol dan 24 siswa kelas VB sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji t, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat perbedaan dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning dan tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learing. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan hasil uji t yang menunjukan diterima karena > . Sedangkan hasil uji n-gain menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen memiliki kategori sedang dan kelas kontrol memiliki kategori rendah.
