Abstract

Pembelajaran ekonomi sering kali didominasi oleh ceramah karena materinya yang padat. Namun, penggunaan cuplikan film sebagai alat bantu dalam menjelaskan materi dapat menjadi langkah inovatif yang menarik perhatian siswa dan membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih holistik. Cuplikan film dapat memberikan koneksi antara materi dengan contoh-contoh kehidupan nyata yang jarang dijumpai siswa sehari-hari. Meski demikian, pendekatan ini membutuhkan kreativitas dari guru untuk memastikan koneksi tersebut berjalan sesuai harapan. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilakukan kepada guru-guru di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten Utara dengan tujuan memperkenalkan potensi metode pembelajaran inovatif ini. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan respon positif dari guru, namun ada kendala yang disampaikan oleh guru, yaitu perlunya pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang film apa yang sesuai dengan konteks materi, serta keterampilan dalam mengelola kelas agar tetap kondusif.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the management practices and promotion strategies implemented by the principal at Karungan 2 elementary school. A qualitative approach was used in this study, with data collection through interviews, observations and document analysis. Using qualitative methods makes it easier for researchers to process the data taken. The first objective is to describe school management practices, and the results of the analysis show that teacher resource management still needs to be improved, while curriculum planning and the organisation of extracurricular activities have been done well. The second objective was to identify the promotional strategies implemented, and the findings showed success in co-operation with the school  committee  and  participation  in  community  activities,  although  there  was  a  need  to improve parental involvement and communication with the surrounding community. The discussion of the findings involved expert opinions and a review of journal articles, underlining the importance of judicious budget allocation and parental involvement in effective school promotion. This research provides valuable insights for the improvement and development of school management and promotion practices at Karungan 2 elementary school.

Abstract

Learning English for nurses is very important because there are many English terms that nurses must know. In addition, for career needs it is also necessary that someone can speak English. Therefore, learning English for nursing is important. This research was case study in qualitative research. its assumed that this study aims to find out the way nursing students learn speaking skills. This research was conducted at a private university in South Kalimantan. In the English class of students majoring in nursing class of 2021, The findings from this study used interviews with two nursing students and one English lecturer who taught nursing classes. The results found that the process of students learning English was quite diverse. because by mastering a foreign language when they carry out their duties as medical personnel they have no difficulty communicating. It can be concluded that the way students learn speaking for the nursing profession is quite diverse, some use strategies through the habit of watching English films, some use materials from lecturers to improve their speaking skills.

Abstract

This study delves into the expanding differences and diversities among students in higher education, encompassing various backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and learning styles. The advent of technological advancements has prompted educators to reevaluate traditional teaching approaches, emphasizing the importance of aligning teaching methods with students' learning styles to prevent dissonance. Misalignment between teaching and learning styles can lead to student dissatisfaction and poor performance. This paper explores the significance of learning styles in achieving successful education outcomes. It investigates how individual learning styles, such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, impact language learning success, particularly in English education. The study examines the correlation between learning styles, hobbies, and language acquisition techniques. The results indicate that incorporating hobbies into learning can enhance students' comfort and receptiveness to the educational process, thereby promoting language skills development.

Abstract

Dalam setiap proyek, kendala jadwal, anggaran, ruang lingkup dan kualitas adalah yang menjadi dasar segitiga manajemen proyek dapat dipenuhi dengan menerapkan alat & teknik perencanaan manajemen proyek dengan tepat. Penjadwalan dan pemantauan proyek konstruksi merupakan tantangan dalam lingkungan bisnis yang sangat dinamis saat ini. Metode atau model yang biasa digunakan adalah Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), yaitu menggunakan parameter seperti waktu penyelesaian proyek yang ditentukan, mean, dan varians untuk memperkirakan kemungkinan waktu penyelesaian proyek. Namun, model ini menggunakan rata-rata tertimbang dan nilai tak tertimbang pada varians, yang didasarkan pada enam sigma dari mean. Hal tersebut menyebabkan munculnya kesalahan tersembunyi dalam perhitungan varians dan mean dari pendekatan PERT. Oleh karena itu, dalam studi ini akan menggunakan simulasi Monte Carlo dan juga model Modifikasi PERT untuk meminimalisir kesalahan dalam perhitungan varians dan mean dari pendekatan PERT. Nantinya, simulasi Monte Carlo dan juga model Modifikasi PERT akan dibandingkan untuk mengetahui hasil dengan error terkecil.

Abstract

Communication is one of the main foundations in running a business. Communication needs to be established to establish relationships between businesses and their customers (Fathurohman & Safitri, 2020). This is intended as a means to find out how to communicate with customers and create product sales targets that suit consumer desires. Based on the existing background, this research aims to analyze interpersonal communication using social theory in the "RASA" market snack in increasing customer loyalty. This research model is qualitative in the form of field research. Primary data is the main data obtained through interviews, namely interviews with the sales manager of the "RASA" market snacks. Furthermore, secondary data will be obtained from documentation whose function is to support research to make it more accurate. Then this research uses the stimulus organism response (SOR) theory approach. In this research is that interpersonal communication has a strategic role in business development, being an effective means of changing the attitude of someone who starts as a consumer and continues to become a customer. With the SOR theory, it can be seen that interpersonal communication can be used as a strategy in implementing communication to change attitudes from consumers to customers. Customer retention is also influenced by friendliness, trust and product quality, the first impression of which is the main thing in running a business.

Abstract

Tragedi Stadion Kanjuruhan terjadi setelah adanya pertandingan sepak bola antara Arema FC melawan Persebaya. Media masa sebagai media pemberitaan melakukan framing untuk membentuk dan menyederhanakan realitas suatu peristiwa serta menarik pembaca. Tujuan pada penelitian adalah melakukan analisis Framing Model Zhongdang Pan Dan Gerald M. Kosicki dalam Kontruksi Pemberitaan Tragedi Stadion Kanjuruhan Tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dengan menggunakan satu media kompas yang memberikan terkait Tragedi Stadion Kanjuruhan Tahun 2022. Telaah artikel menggunakan analisis Framing Model Zhongdang Pan Dan Gerald M. Kosicki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan analisa https://bola.kompas.com/ dalam pemberitaan berjudul Jumlah Korban Jiwa Tragedi Kanjuruhan Bertambah lagu yang telah dianalisa dengan model Zhongdang Pan Dan Gerald M. Framing didapatkan korban 134 orang, dalam proses penyampaian berita menunjukan bukti-bukti dengan fakta, kutipan, foto yang disajikan dalam berita. Hal ini sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap korban tragedi kanjuruan. Akan tetapi dalam pemberitaan ini hanya mencantumkan satu narasumber dari rumah sakit maka bisa dikatakan tidak cover both side (berimbang).

Abstract

This study aims to improve the public speaking skills of female santri of Pondok Pesantren Rooihatul Jannah Sukoharjo through specially designed workshops. This research is motivated by the importance of public speaking skills in various aspects of life, especially in the context of da'wah. The method used in this research is experimental method with qualitative approach. Data collection was done through pre-test, workshop implementation, and post-test. The results showed that the public speaking workshop significantly increased self-confidence, overcame stage fright, and overcame blank material in participants. In addition, participants also gave positive responses to the materials and methods presented. The conclusion of this study is that public speaking workshops can be an effective solution in improving the communication skills of santriwati and make a positive contribution to their self-development.

Abstract

The research sample was 50 respondents who were taken from the owner of the angkringan stalls. The results of the study resulted in a conclusion that there was a significant effect on product quality on business performance, there was a significant effect of price fixing on business performance, there was a significant influence on location on business performance and there was a joint influence on product quality, pricing and business location on micro-business performance. small and medium enterprises in Tangerang City. The location of the business has an influence on business performance; therefore, it is recommended that the owner of an angkringan business in determining the location of the business can pay attention to environmental factors around the business location such as the condition of the community around the business location, the comfort and safety of the business place, and easy access to buyers. The results showed that there are still other factors that can affect the performance of the angkringan stalls besides product quality, pricing and business locations, therefore it is recommended that the owners of the angkringan stalls conduct a survey directly to buyers regarding the assessment of consumer satisfaction with product quality, product prices and business location based on buyers' perceptions so that owners of angkringan stalls can make strategies to improve their business according to the characteristics of buyers who are their target market
