Abstract

The Asian Games 2018 is a sporting event held every 4 years, bringing together all Asian athletes from various branches to compete for the country's pride. Indonesia was chosen to be the host of the Asian games which made the right momentum to build Indonesia's nation branding. This study analyzes how the strategy of building nation branding on the momentum of Asian games 2018 Jakarta - Palembang. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by describing related data. The results in this study show that the strategy used to build a nation branding in the Asian Games with media management, accentuate elements of Indonesian culture, conducting global diplomacy, creating mutual collaboration branding, and conducting a post events campaign. In addition to building nation branding, need several elements namely brand identity, positioning, and brand image which all focus on one goal that is to increase trading, tourism, and also an investment in the country.Kata Kunci: Asian games, nation branding, place marketing, brand image, destination branding.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 ini telah mengganggu kegiatan belajar mengajar di berbagai sekolah termasuk di SMP N 2 Sambi, berbagai kebijakan telah dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia untuk mengatasi penularan Covid-19. Salah satu kebijakan tersebut adalah penerapan pembelajaran daring. Program kelompok belajar ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan permasalahan yang dialami siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaksimalkan pemahaman terhadap pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh sekolah secara daring. metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskripsi. Temuan yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian program kelompok belajar adalah adanya kegiatan program kelompok belajar untuk siswa SMP N 2 Sambi ini sangat bermanfaat karena dapat membantu para peserta didik memahami materi pembelajaran, meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar dan tetap semangat meraih prestasi. Secara konkrit ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan literasi siswa SMP N 2 Sambi yang terlihat dari antusias membaca buku fiksi maupun nonfiksi, sehingga permasalahan belajar di rumah bagi siswa-siswi SMP N 2 Sambi dapat teratasi.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find an effective empowerment model to alleviate traders from usury practices. A qualitative approach was employed through interviews, direct observations, social media observations, and literature studies. Traditional market locations were selected based on having more than 150 traders, and five markets were chosen: Bejen, Jungke, Nglano, Jaten, and Palur. The research results showed that usury practices burdened the traders significantly, but they had limited options for quick access to capital without complicated requirements. The presence of the Infaq Bank in eradicating usury practices has been beneficial to many business actors in Indonesia. In the Karanganyar region, the Infaq Bank named Bank Infaq Islamic Karanganyar has been operational for over 2 years. Seven study groups were formed for the empowerment of traders, with a total of 178 beneficiaries absorbing funds amounting to Rp. 278,000,000. The empowerment model for small traders in traditional markets through collaboration with the innovative Portal Iman received positive responses in five traditional markets, as evidenced by the willingness of worshippers, who are traders, to become permanent members of the Portal Iman study groups. This empowerment model involves four key roles: benefactors, motivators, managers, and beneficiaries of the Portal Iman. In conclusion, this empowerment model is acceptable for application among members of the Islamic Infaq Bank Karanganyar and the traditional market trader community in Karanganyar.

Abstract

Cakra Semarang TV dan TVKU sebagai televisi lokal daerah yang mengangkat unsur budaya lokal Jawa Tengah serta mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan yang ada di Kota Semarang. Perkembangan teknologi internet mengakibatkan persaingan dalam perebutan sumber daya penghidupan televisi lokal juga semakin kompetitif. Akan tetapi Cakra Semarang TV dan juga TVKU masih dapat bertahan dengan tayangan yang menjunjung tinggi unsur budaya lokal Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi pemasaran Cakra Semarang TV dan TVku dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini menggunakan teori niche yang melihat unsur niche breadth, niche overlap, dan competitive superiority. Peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi, dan pengumpulan arsip rekaman dari televisi lokal Semarang.  Dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan strategi yang digunakan dengan menjalankan aktivitas marketing mix, meningkatkan brand awareness dengan konsep 7P, peran penting seorang marketing public relations dalam menjembatani kerjasama, instansi pemerintah menjadi sasaran utama (market niche) dalam sumber daya penghidupan televisi lokal, memanfaatkan berbagai platform media yang tersedia di Era digital, dan menjalin kerjasama yang bersifat longterm dengan cara membangun ikatan yang kuat (bonding), saling berempati (empathy), saling menguntungkan dan memberikan timbal balik (reciprocity), dan berkomitment terhadap kepercayaan yang dibangun (trust).

Abstract

Three technical steps of data collection were used in testing that involved over 100 students: observations, questionnaires, and interviews. After processing, all of the data is collected into a dataset that is kept in the chatbot application database. Obtaining up-to-date information about class schedules, communication science resources, and other academic matters is crucial for students. Therefore, this project intends to provide an accurate and up-to-date source of information by using AI chatbots with the NLP approach, making it easier for students to acquire the material they need. In the exam scenario, each student is required to respond to a minimum of five questions that follow the topics covered in Communication Science curriculum. These questions are processed using the application provided to produce predictions of possible relevant answers. The results of the answers from the chatbot are used to create a comparison matrix between the percentage of chatbot usage and the verification team. The verification team approves all output from the chatbot. Based on the comparison, it can be inferred that the verification team's output percentage was 100%, but the chatbot's production percentage was 95%.

Abstract

Film is a medium that describes the relationship between "Western" and "Eastern" cultures. This study aims to examine the discourse of postcolonialism in the movie Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) from the perspective of Homi K. Bhabha regarding mimicry, hybridity and liminality. This qualitative research uses a content analysis method. As a result, the film Avatar displays a film plot that positions the people of Navi as an "eastern" group colonized by military forces from the "West". The characters in the film, namely Jake Sully and his family, are not trapped in the dichotomy between the colonizers and the colonized, but form and create a hybrid identity between humans and sailors. Thus the relationship between the characters in the movie Avatar is in the "space between" which is growing. a reading of postcolonialism in film.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain some of the problems of hate speech carried out on social media; the author also tries to explain some recommendations that can potentially overcome hate speech carried out on social media. The data collection in this article was conducted through a literature study, and the result was that the current phenomenon is that social media users are more willing to express opinions or comment on other people who are not even known personally. The death of Sulli, a Korean idol, in October 2019 due to depression due to continuously receiving hate speech messages on her social media account became the most shocking case. In Indonesia, hate speech cases are dominated by defamation, harassment, slander, provocation, and threats against individuals and groups. There are at least four recommended solutions to this problem; the first is related to government regulations. Secondly, it is necessary to hold socialization, whether carried out by Digital Literacy activists, academics, or anyone who can influence the surrounding environment; socialization is not only carried out directly but is carried out on social media in the form of disseminating content. Third, the features of social media should be maximized because, currently, various types of social media have provided features to reduce negative comments, such as comment filters, spam reports, and several other features. And the last one is related to the ethics of interpersonal communication on social media.

Abstract

Although there is no fixed definition for digital maturity, it can be concluded that digital maturity refers to the ability of an organization to use digital technology effectively and efficiently in achieving its strategic goals. This research proposes a new framework to assess the digital maturity of local governments called the Digital Maturity Model for Local Governments in Indonesia (DMM-LGI). The framework has two main dimensions, namely technology adoption and organizational readiness. This research method uses a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. The research process begins with a literature review from scopus-indexed journals, followed by the formulation of a digital maturity framework, measuring the level of digital maturity, identifying a certain level, and providing recommendations for further digital transformation. The results showed that the digital maturity of the local government of Karanganyar regency was at the level of average digitalization, where the main obstacle was that there were limitations in aspects of adequate and quality human resources (HR). In addition, the excessive number of applications and information systems poses new problems, especially related to integration and interoperability. The suggestion for future research is that the concept of digital maturity is dynamic, nothing is fixed and will continue to evolve as science and technology advance

Abstract

Indonesia, sebagai negara dengan populasi Muslim terbesar di dunia, menghadapi tantangan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hewan kurban yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Dompet Kurban Terintegrasi Peternakan Modern berbasis teknologi AI-IoT dengan algoritma YOLO, guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan mempermudah pengelolaan kurban. Metode penelitian melibatkan tahapan pengumpulan data, analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, simulasi, implementasi, dan evaluasi performa. Sistem yang dikembangkan menyediakan fitur pelacakan hewan secara real-time, estimasi berat hewan menggunakan teknologi citra, dan integrasi pembayaran digital. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa waktu pengukuran berat sapi dapat dipangkas dari 60 detik menjadi rata-rata 2,1 detik dengan akurasi yang hampir setara metode tradisional. Selain itu, penerapan IoT berhasil menurunkan biaya operasional peternakan hingga 30%. Kesimpulannya, teknologi AI-IoT menawarkan solusi inovatif untuk mendukung efisiensi peternakan sekaligus mempermudah masyarakat dalam menabung dan melaksanakan kurban secara transparan dan efisien

Abstract

Research on the Response of Small Traders in Traditional Markets to the Empowerment Innovation Portal Iman was carried out in Karanganyar from August to September 2023. This research aims to determine the response of small traders in traditional markets who were given socialization about Portal Iman, an empowerment innovation to avoid danger. usury. Qualitative and quantitative research was carried out in an integrated manner with surveys using questionnaires, interviews and field observations. All 92 recitation participants from 5 markets, namely Bejen, Jungke, Nglano, Jaten and Palur markets, were used as respondents for the socialization. The research results showed that the socialization participants were dominated by women (72.83%) compared to men (27.17%), with the majority aged 45 - 59 years or pre-elderly (60.87%); aged over 60 years or elderly (21.74%) and only 17.39% were aged 19 – 44 years or adults. The majority of participants' education was high school (SMA/MA/SMK) at 38.04%; Elementary school as much as 29.35% and junior high school as much as 20.65%. There were 5.44% of socialization participants who had not completed elementary school or even attended school and 6.52% who had attained higher education, either a diploma or bachelor's degree. The average length of business is 14.21 years, the longest is 44 years and the shortest is 1 year, with 66.57% own capital and 44.43% with borrowed capital, 36.67% have had contact with loan sharks, 61.11% have no contact and 2.2% did not provide information. Of the 36.6% who had contact with the loan shark, 12.22% were still in contact today, 64.44% were no longer in contact and 33.3% of respondents did not answer.
