Abstract

Kenduri Sko is a culture-based tourism event that grew from the tradition of the Kerinci tribal community in Sungai Full City, this event is an ancestral heritage tradition that has been carried out for generations, the implementation of the Kenduri Sko event involves many parties, therefore good cooperation between stakeholders involved in its management is needed. This study aims to determine the model of stakeholder collaboration in the management of Kenduri Sko events. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, the informants are elements of the Pentahelix consisting of government, academia, business, society and media. The data used are primary data and secondary data, data collection is carried out by discussion with informants through focus group discussion (FGD) forums in addition, data is also obtained from the results of literature studies on books and previous research that have relevant topics. The results of this study show that the Pentahelix collaboration model currently applied to the Kenduri Sko event has not been effective, therefore it is necessary to develop a collaboration model into Hexahelix so that governance in the implementation of Kenduri Sko can be more effective and optimal.

Abstract

Event industry as popular known as MICE Tourism business is rapidly growing in Indonesia, various international events have been successfully held in Indonesia, but little is known about how these events are operated and who the parties involved are. Behind the success of the event, many MSME are involved with several constraints that also need government attention, so that they can support the sustainability of event entrepreneurs in the future. The main problem is the lack of achievement standards that can serve as a reference other than simply meeting the terms of reference and spending according to the budget plan outlined in the contract. Based on direct observation and interviews with event business owners, namely a number of involved event organisers and vendors, and with the help of NVIVO software, at least eight important factors were identified: Commitment & Contract, Innovation & Novelty of Event, Mutual Partnership, Payment, Portfolio & Experience, Product Quality, Profit, and Zero Complaint. Each factor and its implications are discussed in detail in this study

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has reshaped the way healthcare institutions manage information, deliver services, and support clinical decisions. Despite these advances, many hospitals still struggle with inefficiencies resulting from weak Health Information Technology (HIT) governance and limited user skills. Most existing approaches prioritize technical deployment while paying less attention to managerial, organizational, and behavioral factors that are essential for sustainable success. To overcome these limitations, this study introduces and empirically evaluates a comprehensive Health Information Technology Management (HITM) model that combines strategic IT governance, system quality, and user dimensions to improve satisfaction and performance among healthcare professionals. The research examines how governance mechanisms, system quality, and user capabilities affect satisfaction and performance. The specific objectives are to identify the key drivers of system quality, evaluate the relationship between system quality and user satisfaction, and examine how satisfaction impacts user performance. The study contributes theoretically by presenting a more integrated framework that unites concepts from IT governance, Information Systems Success Theory, and Technology Acceptance Theory. It also offers empirical evidence of the importance of managerial structures in driving successful digital transformation in healthcare settings. A survey involving healthcare personnel from three public hospitals in Indonesia was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results demonstrate strong model validity, accounting for 65% of the variance in user satisfaction and 59% of the variance in performance, with predictive relevance (Q²) values of 0.47 and 0.52, respectively. These outcomes demonstrate that mature governance, leadership support, cross-unit collaboration, and systematic user training enhance system quality, satisfaction, and ultimately performance. Future studies should expand testing in broader healthcare contexts with different resource conditions.

Abstract

The garbage problem is never solved in various cities across Indonesia. This research focuses on specific waste, including toxic and hazardous waste. The study aims to determine the investment value and toll fees for the tourism area in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. So far, there is no proper mechanism because, according to government regulations, the government has the obligation to be the main responsible party. This study was conducted to find appropriate alternative treatments that are more implementable and can be carried out immediately. The survey was conducted in 16 districts within the city area, involving waste management communities or relevant agencies. Based on calculations at the household level, it was found that toxic and hazardous waste generation is 1006.25 tons per year. Per household, this ranges from 20 kg to 118 kg per year. This amount is very dangerous in increasing environmental, water, and soil pollution. Considering waste management practices, the required investment value is USD 1.46 million. Based on the polluter pays principle, the established collection fee per household is only USD 1.61 per kilogram per year, or IDR 26,571. This amount is very large if the government bears the entire cost, but through a participatory management system, the handling of toxic and hazardous waste will become easier.
