Abstract

Indonesia has various types of plants that can be cultivated throughout the year, such as rice, corn, soybeans, palm oil, coffee, tea, and cocoa. Rice is the most widely planted agricultural commodity and is a staple food for most Indonesians. Indonesian people still have extensive rice fields planted with rice. However, many young people now refuse to become farmers because they are considered unpromising to meet their needs. Therefore, it is necessary to research the design of rice planting machines. The purpose of this study is to design a rice planting machine according to the needs of farmers. The results of this study indicate that there are complaints from farmers during rice planting. Complaints are pain in body parts such as the neck, shoulders, waist, back, wrists, fingers, thighs, legs, and ankles. Therefore, it is necessary to design a rice planting machine to avoid complaints from farmers when planting rice.

Abstract

Asung Kamulyan Farmer Group is one of the farmer groups in Sidomulyo Village, Mantup District, Lamongan Regency. Rice harvesting in Sidomulyo Village is done traditionally using a sickle and then threshed using a threshing machine to separate the rice grains from the rice stalks which produces waste called straw. Problems in the production aspect, partners experience difficulties during harvesting activities because the number of available harvesters decreases. The method used is the action research method, namely taking action based on the results of observations and discussions with partners. The results of this activity, from the production aspect, there is an ergonomic rice harvesting machine used by the community which can increase harvesting productivity from 2 m²/minute to 10 m²/minute or an increase of 5 times. In addition, there is an SOP for operation, maintenance, and resolution of other obstacles (troubleshot) as material that can be used to ensure that the use of the technology provided continues to provide benefits. In addition, partners can arrange the rental schedule for ergonomic harvesting machines and their financial management, so that farmer groups have other sources of income from renting and maintaining harvesting machines

Abstract

SMPN 15 Malang adalah sekolah adiwiyata mandiri di kota malang yang berkomitmen untuk menjadi sekolah adiwiyata tingkat ASEAN melalui inovasi lingkungan di bidang pengolahan sampah organik namun pengolahan sampah yang ada belum cukup untuk menjadi pembeda untuk mencapai cita – cita tersebut. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pengabdian masyarakai dilaksanakan untuk menguatkan inovasi lingkungan di bidang pengolahan sampah organik dalam kerangka ekonomi sirkular yang juga mengintegraksikan potensi budidaya ikan yang ada di sekolah. Penguatan inovasi dilakukan melalui transfer pengetahuan dan adopsi teknologi yang dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahap, yaitu kegiatan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Keberhasilan kegiatan diukur berdasarkan metode RE-AIM (reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation and maintenance). Sebanyak 62 siswa memberikan respons terhadap sosialisasi program valorisasi sampah organik. Hasil survei terhadap lima indikator evaluasi e-magazine menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa merasakan dampak positif, terutama pada kejelasan bahasa dan kemudahan memahami informasi dalam poster. Desain poster berbasis infografis dengan ilustrasi terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Namun, beberapa umpan balik negatif muncul terkait daya tarik visual dan penempatan informasi. Tingkat respons sebesar 53% menunjukkan efektivitas moderat kegiatan ini, dipengaruhi oleh durasi penyebaran e-magazine yang relatif singkat, yaitu hanya satu minggu. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi warga sekolah serta mendorong inovasi pengelolaan lingkungan berkelanjutan.
