Abstract

Pendidikan karakter penting untuk menjadi mainstream pokok pendidikan di Indonesia baik di ranah formal, nonformal maupun informal. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan karakter anak, di antaranya adalah pola asuh di keluarga (parenting style) dan genetic personality. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh parenting style dan genetic personality terhadap pengembangan karakter anak. Jenis penelitian adalah korelasional menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi sekaligus sample penelitian ini adalah orang tua siswa Taman Kanak-kanak di Tangerang sebanyak 90 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner (angket) yang disusun berdasarkan skala Likert. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur pola asuh parenting style merupakan hasil modifikasi dari Parenting Style Questionnaire (PSQ) (Robinson et al., 1995) dan (Roman et al., 2015). Instrumen untuk mengukur genetic personality diadaptasi dari (Poniman & Mangussara, 2013), sedangkan untuk mengukur pengembangan karakter anak menggunakan adaptasi dari (Poniman, 2014). Analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan SEM (Structural Equation Model) dengan software SmartPLS versi 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parenting style dan genetic personality berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pengembangan karakter anak.

Abstract

Public awareness of utilizing the narrow land in the Taman Raya Rajeg housing complex is still relatively low. Not all people understand the use of land for food crops. The activity was carried out one day and was attended by 54 participants, the majority of whom were housewives. Education on understanding food security for the community starting from the household is the focus of education this time. The resource person also talked about food security by planting fast-harvesting crops. Community interaction was very good from PKM activities and discussions went well. The activity ended with the handover of 84 fast-harvesting plants such as chilies, tomatoes and eggplants to activity participants and symbolic tree planting.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to: determine the interactive effect of teaching technique and critical thinking towards students’ writing skill. The research method used was experimental one. Sample size of 80 students consisted of 40 for experiment class from SMA Mandiri Balaraja and 40 from SMA Tunas Harapan Balaraja for control class. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. Research instruments were used to test the results of critical thinking (30 items) and writing skill scoring that had been tested valid and reliable. The used test was two-way ANOVA analysis the result showed: (1) There is a significant effect of teaching technique towards students’ writing skill at Private Senior High School in Tangerang. It is proved by the value of sig 0,000 < 0,05 and Fo = 77,449. (2) There is a significant effect of critical thinking towards students’ writing skill at Private Senior High School in Tangerang. It is proved by the value of sig 0,000 < 0,05 and Fo = 51,791. (3) There are any significant interactive effects of teaching technique and critical thinking towards students’ writing skill at Private Senior High School in Tangerang. It is proved by the value of sig 0,033 < 0,05 and Fo = 4,725. This suggests that teaching technique and critical thinking contribute to the improvement of students writing skill.

Abstract

Tegal Kunir Kidul village is one of the areas in Mauk sub-district that still has a high stunting rate among villages in Mauk sub-district. The aim of this activity is to educate the public about preventing stunting through a balanced diet for toddlers. The activity is carried out using a lecture method guided by a moderator. The activity lasted for one day and at the end of the activity a quick division of plants was carried out. Monitoring and evaluation was carried out by asking several participants and all of them expressed satisfaction and enjoyment with this activity. In the future, other, more innovative activities will be carried out with more participants.

Abstract

Banyaknya para pelaku UMKM di Desa Pete yang belum memiliki Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) karena ketidaktahuan bagaimana membuat NIB dan pemahaman pentingnya memiliki NIB bagi pelaku UMKM masih relative rendah. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan pendampingan Pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha kepada 10 pelaku UMKM di Desa Pete kecamatan Tigaraksa sehingga ke 10 pelaku UMKM tersebut memiliki NIB dimana NIB dapat digunakan sebagai legalitas usaha, memudahkan pelaku UMKM dalam pendanaan dengan suku bunga rendah melalui KUR yang merupakan subsidi pemerintah dengan bunga 3%, jauh lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan bunga pinjaman pada umumnya. Dengan NIB para pelaku UMKM dapat mengikuti pelatihan dan program-program yang diselenggarakan oleh pemerintah. Kegiatan berlangsung selama satu hari dan setelah kegiatan selesai maka dilakukan monitoring dan evaluasi dengan memberikan beberapa pertanyaan secara langsung kepada peserta dan semua peserta menyampaikan sosialisasi dan pendampingan ini sangat memuaskan dan membantu sekali para pelaku UMKM. Harapan ke depannya kegiatan ini akan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan pendaftaran Hak kekayaan intelektual baik barupa paten sederhana maupun hak cipta

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to investigate the effect of innovation climate, learning capability, and transformational leadership on innovative work behavior. The sample of this research was taken from 102 lecturers of a private university in Indonesia using a simple random sampling technique and using SEM (Structural Equation Model) with SmartPLS version 3.0 software as a statistical tool. The results of this study state that all hypotheses are supported and it is found that innovation climate, learning capability, and transformational leadership have a positive and significant effect on innovative work behavior. The novelty of this research finding is that it is successful in combining individual, organizational, and environmental level variables in higher education that influence innovative work behavior among private higher education lecturers.

Abstract

The non-standard variety of the English language is often referred to as uneducated or unintelligent people who come from the lower-class and lower working class. Therefore, the differences in people’s social background will influence the choice of language use in societies. The objectives of the study are to identify the functions of the illocutionary acts spoken by the main character of 8 Mile and to describe the effects of the speech acts used by the main character toward the hearer’s behavior. This research is designed as descriptive qualitative research. The object is the film script of 8 Mile. There are 92 scenes in the 8 Mile film script and a sample of 47 scenes was conducted using a purposive sample technique. As many as 110 of the main character’s utterances of 8 Mile were gathered and treated as the data of this research. The instruments were the researcher herself, helped by the data sheets and several selected relevant guiding books. To gain the validity of the research, the researcher used a triangulation technique by consulting the data with her consultants, asking some of her friends in the English Literature Study Program, and also repeating the observations several times. The findings reveal four functions of the illocutionary acts spoken by the main character of 8 Mile and ten perlocutionary acts used by the main character toward the hearer’s behavior in 8 Mile. The functions of the illocutionary acts are assertive (33.69%), directives (43.70%), commissive (4.08%), and expressive (18.52%). The perlocutionary acts are to convince the hearer (20.59%), to surprise the hearer (4.41%), to bore the hearer (1.96%), to annoy the hearer (1.96%), to frighten the hearer (2.46%), to cause the hearer (33.82%), to insult the hearer (2.94%), to alarm the hearer (0.49%), to make the hearer do something (9.80%), and to make the hearer realize something (21.56%).
