Abstract

Abstract

The employee who has bad performance in working can influence the other employee to disturb many jobs. The purpose of this research is creating prediction system which it makes easier for HRD to select prospective employees who have appropriate personality based on the position, by utilizing the C4.5 algorithm known to be the personality of employees of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Transportation Office with a level of accuracy in the implementation of the C.45 algorithm. Testing using the confusion matrix, obtained a system accuracy of 79.167%.

Abstract

Company ABC is a trusted agency that collaborates with the Directorate General of Civil Registration and Population Administration (Ditjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. It issues electronic certificates and electronic signatures using facial recognition authentication and compares live videos with Indonesian population data. This task demonstrates that Company ABC is a trusted company in the field of digital security. In order to be recognized and maintain the credibility of the Certificate Policy (CP) and Certification Practice Statement (CPS) from Certification Authorities (CA) in the international community, Company ABC needs to comply with various applicable standards. One of the international standards used is Webtrust for Certification Authorities. This study aims to analyze the capability level of Company ABC as an electronic certification provider in implementing Business Practices Management Webtrust Certification Authorities. The data used in this study consists of Company ABC's Certificate Policy (CP) and Certification Practice Statement (CPS). The analysis is conducted on the implementation of Business Practices Management Webtrust Certification Authorities based on the data of Company ABC's CP and CPS. Gap analysis is conducted to assess the alignment between Company ABC's CP and CPS with the principles of Business Practices Management Webtrust Certification Authorities. The results of the gap analysis indicate that no gaps are identified based on the checklist conducted by the author. This indicates that Company ABC's CP and CPS already comply with the principles set by Business Practices Management Webtrust Certification Authorities. This research significantly contributes to ensuring that Company ABC maintains compliance with international principles in the provision of electronic certification services. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for other electronic certification providers to improve and enhance the quality and security of their electronic certification management systems, particularly in the management of CP and CPS.

Abstract

Software Defect Prediction (SDP) is a crucial component of software engineering aimed at improving quality and testing efficiency. However, the majority of SDP research often overlooks the fundamental influence of the programming paradigm on the nature and causes of defects. This study presents a comparative analysis to identify the most influential software metrics for predicting defects across two distinct paradigms: Object-Oriented (OOP) and Structured. To ensure modern relevance and reproducibility, we constructed two new datasets from large-scale, open-source projects: Apache Camel (Java) for OOP and Redis (C) for Structured which exhibited realistic defect rates of 14.4% and 21.8%, respectively. The dataset creation process involved mining Git repositories for defect labeling and automated metric extraction using the CK and Lizard tools. Correlation analysis and baseline modeling using Random Forest revealed significant differences between the paradigms. In the OOP system, dominant defect predictors were related to the complexity of the class interface and features (e.g., uniqueWordsQty, totalMethodsQty, WMC, CBO). Conversely, defects in the structured system were strongly correlated with size and algorithmic complexity (e.g., file_tokens, file_loc, file_ccn_sum). Although the baseline models performed well (ROC–AUC = 0.82–0.87), the significant class imbalance resulted in low recall (44–50%). This motivates the need for more context aware approaches. These findings underscore that effective SDP strategies must be tailored to the underlying programming paradigm.
