Abstract

Kulit Pisang Ambon Hong mempunyai kadar air basis basah sebesar 87,02%.

Abstract

This study proposes metaheuristics to solve the permutation flowshop scheduling problem in ED Aluminium which produces kitchen utensils. The aim is to find the processing sequence of products that results in the shortest total completion time, minimizing makespan and total flowtime. Three metaheuristics are developed, which are Simulated Annealing (SA), Large Neighborhood Search (LNS), and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). Experiments are performed in this research to evaluate the three algorithms. The result using the simulated annealing algorithm is considered better because it has a shorter makespan. The contribution of this study is developing Simulated Annealing, Large Neighborhood Search, and Ant Colony Optimization to solve the problem.

Abstract

The airline industry has rapidly evolved, fostering intense competition among companies. This competition drives airlines to formulate strategies for revenue maximization, giving rise to Revenue Management. This literature review spans the past 13 years, examining the development of Airline Revenue Management methods. By analyzing 22 journals with at least Q2 and SINTA 2 indexing, three primary scopes emerge: Quantity Decision, Pricing Decision, and Structural Decision. Airlines predominantly employ dynamic pricing and programming to optimize revenue by adapting to ongoing changes. The development trend in Airline Revenue Management indicates a shift towards faster and more accurate processing through increased integration with simulation and algorithm programming. This paper identifies the three main scopes involved in revenue management strategies and explores the diverse approaches airlines take to optimize income. Notably, dynamic pricing and programming remain prevalent methods, adapting to changing decision variables. The evolving landscape emphasizes integration with advanced technology for efficient processing. The study utilizes numerical and case studies to exemplify the ongoing development of Airline Revenue Management methods within this dynamic industry.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the Indonesian economy, particularly in the transportation and logistics sector. This sector has experienced fluctuations in financial performance triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, after overcoming this challenging period, the Indonesian economy has shown positive trends. A leading logistics company, PT Logistik ABC, located in Jakarta, has a non-exclusive working agreement with a herbal medicine manufacturing company, PT XYZ. PT XYZ provides the required quantity of goods, but PT Logistik ABC is not obligated to fulfill the entire demand. The issue lies with PT Logistik ABC, as they transport goods from Jakarta to Semarang, but the fleet condition from Semarang to Jakarta is empty. With this situation, PT Logistik ABC aims for a higher gross profit by maximizing the available resources. Therefore, this study employs an optimization approach to optimize gross profit using non-linear programming. The optimal gross profit obtained is Rp150,893,000.00, representing 62% increase from the previous amount of Rp93,461,000.00.

Abstract

The present research evaluates the efficiency of the Photo-Fenton-like process under UV irradiation by varying ratio of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) to Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and H₂O₂ to ferrous ion (Fe²⁺) using wastewater from a batik manufacturer in Gresik. Initial experiments demonstrated that varying the ratio of H2O2/COD contributes to Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal, while maintaining a constant H2O2/Fe2+ ratio. The result reveals a significant effect on Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal achieving 64.58% efficiency which indicates that highly reactive OH* radicals successfully generated in photo-Fenton-like process. Further optimization by increasing the ratio H2O2/COD = 15 (g/g) and H2O2/Fe2+ = 20 (g/g) resulting on maximum percentage of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) removal of 92.47% proving the massive production of OH* radicals. The kinetics reaction model which describes the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) degradation rate showed the BMG kinetic model, with parameters of 1/m = 0.9352, 1/b = 0.7159, and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.9986, indicating an excellent fit and high predictive accuracy of the kinetic model for this process.
