Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions have become business practices to improve shareholder welfare. One of the newest phenomena in Indonesia is the merger of two large companies, namely Gojek, a transportation service provider, and Tokopedia, an e-commerce platform. This merger occured in 2021 with the official name PT GOTO Gojek – Tokopedia Tbk. When conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO), the share price of PT GOTO Gojek – Tokopedia Tbk was set at Rp. 338 per share (CNBC, 2022). Many hopes were pinned on the share price, but the share price of PT GOTO Gojek – Tokopedia Tbk did not match expectations. In December 2023, based on the IDX website, the share price of PT GOTO Gojek – Tokopedia Tbk has dropped drastically to Rp. 95, experienced a decrease of Rp. 243 since IPO. This research shows whether the merger decision of the two companies has an effect on their intrinsic value as well as their liquidity ratio, activity ratio, solvability ratio and profitability ratios.

Abstract

This community service focuses on assisting the preparation of financial reports using the Financial Information Recording Application System (SIAPIK) by integrating the Tri N Teachings (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) at the Jogja Car AC Specialist workshop. The workshop, which has been operating for 3 years, has experienced obstacles in financial reporting such as financial records that are still manual and there is still a lack of synchronization between records and actual transactions. This Abdimas will use lecture, discussion, self-assignment, role play, and evaluation methods as problem solving efforts. The service team will provide material in the form of how to make financial reports by integrating the Tri N Teachings (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi). The hope is that after participating in this service activity, business actors can recognize and remember how to prepare financial reports in accordance with Indonesian SAK for Micro, Small and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM), imitate and apply the knowledge gained, and develop the preparation of financial reports manually and switch to the SIAPIK accounting application system.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The teachings of Tamansiswa 3N (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) can not only be applied in the world of education. Part of the 3N concept (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi) can also be implemented in Dinda Hayu Batik MSMEs. This community service activity aims to examine the role of digital marketing in increasing the competitiveness of MSME Dinda Hayu Batik, a traditional batik business in Yogyakarta by implementing 3N (Niteni, Nirokke, Nambahi). The 3N approach, which means observing (niteni), imitating (nirokke), and modifying (nambahi) is used as the main strategy in optimizing digital marketing, especially on social media and e-commerce platforms. The research methods used are counseling, interviews, social media content analysis and observation. The nirokke and nambahi stages help Dinda Hayu Batik MSMEs recognize market trends and preferences, while nirokke and nambahi enable product adaptation and innovation to better suit the tastes of modern consumers without losing batik's cultural identity.

Abstract

Polyandry, although rare, is a complex and controversial phenomenon in Indonesia, including in West Kotawaringin District. These cases often involve conflicts of law, religious norms and customs that require specialized resolution approaches. This article aims to explore the effectiveness of mediation as a dispute resolution method in polyandry cases in the region. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research relies on in-depth interviews with perpetrators, mediators, religious leaders, customary leaders, as well as analysis of relevant legal documents. The results show that mediation has significant potential in resolving polyandry cases, especially as this approach prioritizes dialogue, mutual understanding and adjustment to local norms. However, the success of mediation is often constrained by differences in legal interpretation between adat and religion, lack of mediator capacity, and resistance from the parties involved. Nonetheless, some cases were successfully resolved through adaptive mediation, resulting in solutions that were more acceptable to all parties. The research concludes that mediation can be an effective alternative in resolving polyandry disputes if supported by trained mediators, collaboration between stakeholders, and a culture-based approach. Strategic recommendations include improving the training of local mediators and strengthening the integration between customary, religious and state laws to create sustainable solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of global gold prices, crude oil prices, and daily COVID-19 cases on the Indonesian Composite Index (IHSG) before, during, and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The study consists of three independent variables: global gold prices, crude oil prices, and daily COVID-19 cases, with one dependent variable: the IHSG. The data was taken from 2018 to 2023, covering the periods before, during, and after the pandemic. The data processing is divided into four periods: before, during, and after the pandemic, up to the overall period. This paper used the Quantile Regression 0.75 and Generalized Linear Model (GLM) research methods due to the presence of extreme outliers that prevented the data from meeting normality requirements. By using Quantile Regression 0.75 and GLM, data normality can be ruled out. Both research methods showed similar significant results. Gold has a positive effect on the IHSG, and crude oil has a larger coefficient than gold. Meanwhile, COVID-19 has a significant but negative effect, with a small coefficient, suggesting that the daily number of COVID-19 cases has no impact on the IHSG. These findings have practical implications for understanding the dynamics of the IHSG, engaging the reader's interest in the study's relevance.
