Abstract

The livestock sector GHG inventory aims to provide periodic information on the level, status, and trend of emission changes in Southeast Sulawesi as well as information on the achievement of GHG emission reductions in the livestock sector from climate change mitigation activities to determine Southeast Sulawesi mitigation and adaptation actions to GHG emissions. This inventory was carried out in Southeast Sulawesi in 2021. The data obtained were calculated using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) model. The inventory results show the total emissions were 290.56 CO2eq Gg/year in 2019 and 313.86 CO2eq Gg/year. Keywords: GHG emissions, inventory, GHG mitigation

Abstract

Background: This research aims to find out Development Strategy Te'ekuea Baths as a Natural Tourism Attraction in Maleko Village, Wangi-Wangi District, Wakatobi Regency. Methods: This research was conducted in October-November 2023 using interview observation, documentation and literature study methods. The population in this research is the entire community in Maleko Village. The population in this research is the community, related agencies and visitors who carry out activities at the Te'ekuea Bathing Tour. The sample chosen in this study was 10% of 177 heads of families (KK), so 10% of the number of family heads is 17.7 or rounded up to 18 families. Meanwhile, for sample determination, the method can be used accsidental sampling. Respondents who have been determined using the method purposive sampling. In this research purposive sampling addressed to the Tourism Department, Bappeda (planning agency development regional), village heads, sub-district heads and community leaders. The data analysis carried out in this research is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis to describe the SWOT analysis so as to obtain a tourism development strategy. Findings: The Te'ekuea Baths development strategy shows the highest opportunity in income increase (0.62) and the lowest threat in visitor disruptions (0.17). The SWOT matrix suggests four main strategies: S-O (maximize strengths for visitor attraction), W-O (improve promotion and facilities), S-T (manage eco-friendly waste and public awareness), and W-T (enhance cleanliness and facilities). The IFE matrix average score is 2.9, and EFE matrix is 2.78, indicating growth potential. Conclusions: The research emphasizes the vital role of modern digital promotion techniques, especially social media, in enhancing the visibility of Te'ekuea Baths as a tourism destination, ultimately driving greater engagement and visitor growth. Novelty/Originality of this article: This study highlights the role of modern digital promotion methods, such as websites and social media, in advancing local tourism, focusing on their effectiveness in engaging younger generations and broadening the reach of the Te'ekuea Baths tourism destination.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Hutan mempunyai aneka manfaat diantaranya sebagai pengatur tata air dalam aspek ekologis. Air hujan yang jatuh tidak langsung masuk ke pelataran bumi, akan tetapi mengalir perlahan melalui sela dedaunan, batang, ranting,, semak dan tumbuhan bawah. Air tersebut masuk secara perlahan-lahan kedalam tanah terserap oleh akar pohon dan mengalir melalui aliran air dalam tanah dan gua-gua sebagai sumber mata air bersih yang dibutuhkan oleh manusia. Keberadaan gua sebagai penyimpan air bersih di beberapa wilayah sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Masyarakat membutuhkan air bersih untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masak, mandi, cuci, kakus dan lain-lain, Salah satunya diperoleh melalui gua yang berada di Desa Walengkabola di Kecamatan Tongkuno Kabupaten Muna. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai jasa gua sebagai penghasil air bersih yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Oktober 2023. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh masyarakat Desa Walengkabola yang berjumlah 105 kepala keluarga (kk), dengan sampel berjumlah 32 kk yang pilih secara random sederhana. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total volume penggunaan air masyarakat untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga adalah sebesar 35.317,80 m3/thn. Nilai ekonomi air rumah tangga yang berasal dari air gua Desa Walengkabola berdasarkan harga kesepakatan yaitu sebesar Rp. 6.295.508,02/thn, adapun berdasarkan harga Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Muna yaitu Rp. 194.883.620,40/thn.
