Abstract

Learning of 21st century emphasizes the ability of students to find out from various sources, formulate problems, think analytically, and collaborate in solving problems. Collaboration will occur when classroom interactions between teacher and students can critically integrate topics, express, listen to multiple voices and points of view, and create effective learning relationships. The aims of this study was to analyze collaborative learning that occurs between students based on the sharing task activities that have been designed. This research was conducted on XI grade high school students. The data was taken from the topic of factors affecting reaction rate. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The instruments used were didactic designs and student worksheets that have been declared valid by experts. The learning process is observed and recorded. Based on the results of observations and videos, student activities were analyzed which parts showed collaboration between students during the learning process using sharing tasks. Collaboration that occurs between students shows a quality learning process.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are crucial environments that should ensure the safety and well-being of their students. However, reports of sexual violence incidents involving students, particularly perpetrated by teachers or educators within the pesantren, have raised serious concerns. This community service initiative aims to mitigate such issues through a program focused on self-defense training and legal support. Implemented using the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) method, the program involved 30 male and female students from Pondok Pesantren Usysyaqul Qur’an Kendal. Evaluation of the program's impact revealed significant outcomes: 95% achievement of training objectives, 98% achievement of material delivery targets, an 87% improvement in students' understanding of sexual violence issues, and 90% satisfaction among students regarding the program's effectiveness and enjoyment. These results underscore the program's success in enhancing students' awareness and preparedness concerning sexual violence prevention in pesantren settings.

Abstract

Abstract: Cognitive Conflict Strategies are Integrated with Scientific Literacy in Reducing Chemical Misconseptions.Problems with students' misconceptions about hydrolysis material still occur frequently, including at Nurul Hayyah High School. Based on the pre-test data, the percentage of misconceptions was 38.42% in the moderate category. If the misconception is not reduced immediately, it will be fatal. As a result, students have difficulty accepting the next material. One learning strategy that can reduce misconceptions is a cognitive conflict strategy combined with scientific literacy. The advantage of the cognitive conflict strategy is being able to reconstruct the understanding that has been attached to students with the new knowledge they receive so that it can reduce the occurrence of misconceptions. The application of learning with cognitive conflict strategies integrated with scientific literacy took place in two meetings. This research is a quantitative research type of pre-experiment model one group pre test-post test design. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of scientific literacy-oriented cognitive conflict strategies in reducing misconceptions about hydrolysis material. The research was conducted at Nurul Hayyah Brebes High School with a research sample of class XI MIPA 2. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used was an analysis of students' misconceptions and interpretation of the results of the questionnaire. The results showed that scientific literacy-oriented cognitive conflict strategies were effective in reducing students' misconceptions about hydrolysis material. This was marked by a decrease in the percentage of students' misconceptions to 13.68% in the low category. In addition, the effectiveness of scientific literacy-oriented cognitive conflict strategies is also marked by positive responses from students with an average percentage of 78% in the good category. Keywords: Misconceptions, Cognitive Conflict, HydrolysisDOI: 10.23960/jppk.v12.i3.2023.06

Abstract

After the pandemic, learning was again carried out offline, making students feel anxious and worried about the assignments given by the lecturers. Students' ability to manage time-related to self-discipline is needed during the transition from online to offline learning. This study aims to measure the level of post-pandemic student academic procrastination or delay based on a gender perspective. Gender analysis is crucial because men have synonymously carried out academic delays, so this research needs to be done. This study used a quantitative approach through a cross-sectional exploratory study involving comparative and correlation analysis. ‎ The population of this study was students of chemistry education at UIN Walisongo Semarang: semester 1, semester 3, and semester 5. The results showed no significant difference in academic Procrastination between male and female students (p > 0.05). The absence of this difference can be due to factors that influence individual development, such as physical, psychological development and social roles, so Procrastination is not determined by gender. DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v12.3.2023.07

Abstract

The importance of mastering the 4C skills—particularly creative thinking—is paramount in the digital era. However, the reality is that the implementation of learning in schools has not yet effectively stimulated creative thinking skills, supported by observation results which show that students' creative thinking skills are relatively low. This research was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of implementing the PBL-SSI model on students' creative thinking skills in green chemistry material. This type of research is quantitative research with a quasy experiment method in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects used were 23 students of SMAN 5 Semarang class X.3 and 28 students of X.4. Determined using a cluster random sampling technique. This research used an independent sample t-test and effect size, the t-test value was <0.001 and the effect size test was 0.708 (medium), indicating that PBL-SSI can stimulate creative thinking skills and there is even an increase in the medium category.

Abstract

Assessment is a process to measure students' thinking skills and learning outcomes. Teachers must be able to develop assessment instruments by the demands of the curriculum for assessing higher-order thinking skills. The purpose of this service activity is to provide training in the development of HOTS assessment instruments for SMA/MA teachers in the Semarang. The method used in this service is the discourse and discussion method using an active participatory approach and technical guidance. Training activities are carried out online through the Zoom channel. The number of participants who took part in the training was 18 teachers. The results of this training activity are the teacher's ability to develop the HOTS assessment instrument for chemistry learning by the educatioradigm 21 and the 2013 curriculum. The skills developed include: identifying higher order thinking indicators according to the taxonomy, identifying higher order thinking indicators based on HOTS types, compiling an assessment grassessmentoping questions, making answer keys, and scoring, rubrics.
