This research proves the effectiveness of comic strips as a learning media on students' writing skills at MA Assa'idiyah Tanggulrejo in recount texts. This research aims to help students in preparing text structures using simple past tense through comic strips. This research was use pre-experimental design with quantitative method and divided into three parts, there are pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The data collected was in the form of a writing test (pre and post-test) on 40 tenth grade students at MA Assa'idiyah Tanggulrejo. Data analysis was carried out from the SPSS calculation application using the t-test formula. The results of data analysis shown that the mean of post-tests increased by 1.80 from the mean of pre-tests. The value in the t-test formula was 12.502, while the t-table at the 0.05 significance level and the degree of freedom (df) = 39 was 2.023. It able to assume that the Null Hypothesis (Ho) has been rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) has been accepted because the t-test value (12.502 > 2.023) is higher than the t-table. In other word, that there is a significant impact on the use of comic strips as a media to enhance students' writing abilities, especially in recount text.

This research was conducted to find out students’ perceptions on characteristics of English lecturers. This research design was descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were students of the second, fourth, and sixth semester of English Language Education Program of Qomaruddin University. It consists 74 students. The data were obtained through questionnaire (open ended and close ended) and interview. Therefore, the data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that students’ perceptions on characteristics of English lecturers showed percentage in every competence and it was said that almost all chose to agree with the statement given, meaning that English lecturers here are good in terms of 4 types of characteristics based on the questionnaire with pedagogical competence 57,1%, personality competence 52,6%, social competence 49,3% and professional competence 59,5%.

This research was conducted to find out (1) the strategies used by the teacher and (2) studentsâ€™ perception on teaching speaking strategies at the eighth graders of SMP YP Sunan Dalem Gumeno 2023. This research design was descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research was the teacher and the students at the eighth graders of SMP YP Sunan Dalem Gumeno 2023, in here there are one English teacher and twenty six students. The data were obtained through questionnaire and interview. The results showed that the teacher has various strategies used to teach speaking in class such as discussion, drilling, and games. The results of students' perceptions also showed good responses to the strategies used by the teacher to teach speaking. They could get many benefits from the strategies used by the teacher as they are more confident in speaking English, they can convey their ideas, they easily remember new vocabulary and they easily understand the material presented by the teacher.

Merdeka Belajar menawarkan kebebasan berpikir bagi siswa dan guru, serta mendorong penemuan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan dalam lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran mandiri di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah menghadapi beberapa tantangan, antara lain keterbatasan sumber daya yang mempengaruhi lingkungan belajar siswa dan metode pengajaran yang masih tradisional.Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, para guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darul Ma'arif Sumurber mendapatkan pelatihan penerapan Kurikulum Mandiri. Metode Pelatihan dengan Metode D-I-A (Delivery, Interaction, and Assessment) yaitu mengembangkan program dan proses pembelajaran dalam peran yang lebih aktif. Model ini memungkinkan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dan merencanakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan, serta menilai kekuatan dan pentingnya kegiatan pelatihan ini. Secara keseluruhan, laporan ini menyajikan gambaran tentang pentingnya penerapan pembelajaran terbuka di sekolah dasar di madrasah, tantangan yang dihadapi serta upaya mengatasi kendala tersebut melalui pelatihan dan penilaian secara cermat. Abstract (Merdeka Belajar offers freedom of thought for students and teachers, and encourages the discovery of knowledge, attitudes and skills in a fun learning environment. The implementation of independent learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah faces several challenges, including limited resources that affect the student learning environment and traditional teaching methods. To overcome these challenges, teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Darul Ma'arif Sumurber received training on the application of the Independent Curriculum. Training Method with D-I-A (Delivery, Interaction, and Assessment) Method is to develop programs and learning processes in a more active role. This model makes it possible to identify problems and plan to meet needs, as well as assess the strength and importance of these training activities. To assist future graduates, students of the English Language Education Study Program receive specialized training in a 'TOEFL' course that is specifically designed to prepare them for the TOEFL test. The objective of this research is to assess the effectiveness of the TOEFL course offered in this study program as a mandatory advanced course, which can be taken in either the sixth or eighth semester. This study presents a CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation methodology specifically designed to meet the requirements and unique features of the TOEFL course at Universitas Qomaruddin. This research is needed to investigate (1) What are the outcomes of evaluating TOEFL courses using the CIPP approach? (2) What are the key enhancements that need to be implemented in order to maximize the program's beneficial influence, as perceived by students and lecturers, in terms of program outcomes? By employing this quantitative and qualitative methodologies, our aim is to provide a comprehensive assessment framework capable of addressing several research inquiries. The research involved a total of 42 students, a lecturer, and a head of the study program. The research data utilized encompass surveys, interviews, and documentation. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data from interviews and documentation were examined thematically to complement and explain the numerical findings. ubsequently, the data is scrutinized and inferences are made. The results show TOEFL course was generally executed well proven by effectiveness from context evaluation (82%), input evaluation (83%), process evaluation (86%), and product evaluation (82%). These findings indicate that the TOEFL course meets its objectives effectively. However, continuous improvements in infrastructure, resources, and engagement strategies are recommended to enhance the program's overall quality and long-term impact. This study provides practical insights for curriculum designers and educators seeking to evaluate and optimize similar programs.

The aim of this research is to improve writing ability of the tenth graders through guided question technique at MA Matlabul Huda in second semester academic year 2022-2023. The objective of the research was to find out the improvement writing ability through quided question technique in term of content and organization. This research consisted of two cycles, Each cycle consisted of two meeting there are : planning, acting on the plan, observing the action and reflecting on the observation. The subjects of the research were 8 students of tenth grade at MA Mathlabul Huda. to collect data, the writer used observation, questionnaire and test. The result of analysis showed that there was enhancement between cycle 1 to cycle 2. In the firts cycle the mean score was 67,5. it still low or under the criteria of success. In the second cycle students accomplished the lowest required passing grade, as well as reached the mean score 80,5. Therefore, the students attained the criteria of the success after the implementation of the action on the second cycle

Artificial Intelligence in education has revolutionized students' learning styles. This study explored EFL students' perspectives on how AI tools assist them in their academic performance. Eighty-two EFL students enrolled in the English Language Study Program at the University of Qomaruddin participated in the study. A survey method was adopted for this study through a series of questionnaires to collect feedback from the students. The result revealed that EFL students heavily rely on conversational AI tools like ChatGPT and machine translation. The study also highlighted the positive impact of AI on various aspects of language learning, including vocabulary acquisition, grammar proficiency, pronunciation practice, and academic writing refinement. However, the study identified concerns regarding the potential barriers to AI integration, such as over-reliance on technology, the risk of replacing human teachers, and the need for enhanced digital literacy skills.

The aim of this research is to find out how students in Mathematics and English Language Education programs at Faculty for Teacher Training and Education of Qomaruddin University utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) as learning assitant to complete their academic assignments. A qualitative method was used to explore students' perspectives on AI, their favorite AI tools, as well as the potentials and challenges of AI in their academic performances. The results of this research indicate that majority students utilized AI not only to accomplish their academic assignments but also to improve their learning outcomes. Furthermore, ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool utilized by the students. This research also emphasizes the need for responsible AI utilization to maximize its benefits.

Bahasa Inggris di Indonesia memang bukan bahasa pertama atau bahasa kedua. Namun, faktanya, bahasa Inggris menjadi mata pelajaran wajib pada Ujian Nasional. Begitu juga dengan tumbuhnya sekolah-sekolah berstandar internasional yang mengharuskan siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, adaptasi kurikulum berbasis kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, hingga menjadikan keahlian berbahasa Inggris menjadi syarat kelulusan pada berbagai perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, di berbagai lembaga non-formal, seperti pondok pensantren, juga memfasilitasi santri untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris melalui program-program tertentu, misalnya Bilingualisme, Englsih Area, English Corner, English Intensive Program, dan lain sebagainya. Dengan program tersebut, bahasa Inggris dijadikan sebagai bahasa komunikasi sehari-hari dengan seluruh penghuni pondok, baik itu untuk komunikasi antarsantri atau dengan pengurus pondok. Seiring dengan maraknya program bilingual di pondok pesantren, misalnya di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam yang terletak di Gontor, Ponorogo atau Pondok Pesantren Mambaus Sholihin di Desa Suci, Gresik, Pondok Pesantren Al-Karimi juga mempunya tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris santrinya. Untuk mengawali program tersebut maka diperlukan bimbingan bahasa Inggris dasar bagi santri dan pengurus serta pengadaan beberapa media pembelajaran sebagai penunjang belajar.
