Abstract

Indonesia has a wide variety of cultures, and one of them is traditional snacks. This culture can be a unique tourist attraction asset, so it must be maintained and preserved. Kampung Kue is one of the villages that produces the best quality and complete variety of traditional snacks in Surabaya. Along with the increasing needs of traditional snacks, the production of Kampung Kue‘s traditional snack is also increasingly diversified. All of the traditional snack produced by Kampung Kue are competing and trying to win the market, where consumers are faced with the many choices available on the market, so that the treatment of traditional snacks products must be increased, and such effort can be obtained through a unique traditional snacks packaging design. The main problem of Kampung Kue traditional snacks is that they are only wrapped individually using transparent resealable plastic wrap. The traditional snacks bought were only wrapped in as plastic bag, unless the customer buy them in very large quantity. They are also lacking in the knowledge about how the snack characteristics can affect the choice of the packaging. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct training to create a new packaging design that fits with the standard of good packaging.

Abstract

Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (University of National Development “Veteran” of East Java, subsequently referred to as UPN “Veteran” of East Java in this paper) has several signature objects within the perimeter of the university’s environment, such as physical objects (tools, things, places) and non-physical objects (action, activity, information). Those signature objects can be visualized into symbol or pictogram that signify the ideas and simplify the physical shape of the real object. Pictograms can serves as a visual language to communicate a message or information that will be easily understood by the audience. One optimization form for the use of pictogram is as the signage in the implementation of visual communication media in the UPN "Veteran" environment of East Java. The method used in this design is a qualitative method by finding relevant literature, collecting primary and secondary data, analyzing the data using the TOWS Matrix table to determine the Unique Selling Proposition, and analyzing the insight of the target audience to develop creative solutions. From the results of the TOWS Matrix analysis, a Unique Selling Proposition was obtained in the form of grouping pictograms into several groups of objects, namely Vision and Mission of UPN "Veterans" of East Java, UPN "Veterans" of East Java’s Objectives and Strategies, State Defense Values, Faculties and Study Programs in the UPN "Veteran" of East Java, Student Activity Unit in the UPN" Veteran "East Java environment, and Facilities in the UPN "Veteran" of East Java’s environment. While from the results of the target audience's insights analysis, the creative solutions was found through the usage of graphic elements in pictogram designs, namely elements of color and color taken from the distinctive characteristics of UPN "Veteran" East Java.

Abstract

Adanya perubahan dan perkembangan positif pada kampus UPN “Veteran” Jatim sudah selayaknya dikemas dalam sebuah media yang dapat menyajikan informasi profil UPN “Veteran” Jatim dengan cara yang menarik dan mudah dipahami. Media tersebut berupa buku profil UPN “Veteran” Jatim yang dirancang dengan menggunakan teknik infografis yakni jenis gambar yang memadukan informasi dengan desain, yang bertujuan untuk berkomunikasi secara singkat dan jelas kepada pembaca.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan langkah-langkah mencari literatur, mengumpulkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif, menganalisis data dengan menggunakan tabel TOWS (Threat, Opportunities, Weakness, Strength) matrix untuk menentukan Unique Selling Proposition, menganalisis insight target audiens untuk menyusun solusi kreatif, menganalisis dan menyimpulkan hasil kuesioner untuk mengukur capaian penelitian. Dari hasil analisis TOWS matrix dapat disimpulkan bahwa Unique Selling Proposition yang ditemukan adalah UPN “Veteran” Jatim sebagai Perguruan Tinggi Negeri baru terakreditasi “A” yang konsisten dalam menerapkan karakter Bela Negara pada kegiatan akademik dan non-akademik. Unique Selling Proposition inilah yang menjadi konten pada buku profil UPN “Veteran” Jatim. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis consumer insight dapat disimpulkan bahwa audiens menginginkan penyampaian informasi profil UPN “Veteran” Jatim berupa informasi tekstual yang disertai dengan elemen-elemen visual seperti unsur grafis, ilustrasi, pictogram, dan grafik. Hasil dari penelitian adalah sebesar 83% (sangat kuat) setuju jika penggunaan infografis berupa unsur grafis, ilustrasi, pictogram, dan grafik pada perancangan buku profil UPN “Veteran” Jatim dapat memiliki tampilan visual yang lebih menarik. Selanjutnya sebesar 83,2% (sangat kuat) setuju jika penggunaan infografis berupa unsur grafis, ilustrasi, pictogram, dan grafik pada perancangan buku profil UPN “Veteran “ Jatim dapat menyajikan informasi menjadi lebih mudah dipahami.

Abstract

Wisata rafting goa pindul memiliki keunikan penelusuran goa dengan cara tubing menyusuri aliran sungai yang ada di bawah permukaan goa. Wisata rafting goa pindul lokasinya berdekatan dengan wisata goa lainnya sehingga perlu identitas visual yang membedakan wisata rafting goa pindul dengan goa disekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap identitas visual wisata rafting goa pindul. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa identitas visual wisata rafting goa pindul merepresentasikan petualangan wisata yang memacu adrenalin. Brand arsitektur wisata rafting goa pindul meliputi river tubing oyo, caving glatik, dan tubing goa pindul dengan menerapkan warna yang berbeda sesuai dengan karakteristiknya masing-masing.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara berkembang yang memiliki permasalahan yang kompleks terutama dalam masalah gizi. Gizi di Indonesia atau negara berkembang lain memiliki kasus gizi yang berbeda dengan negara maju dikarenakan Masyarakat yang belum memahami bahaya stunting, dampak stunting, dan apa saja faktor dari bahaya stunting secara mendalam, Tingkat konsumsi makanan yang mengandung protein hewani di Indonesia masih rendah. Pada penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kuantitatif adalah data yang sifatnya numerik atau dapat dihitung karena berbentuk angka statistik. Data kuantitatif didapatkan dari kuesioner, angket, atau survei. Karena data yang didapat dalam bentuk angka, maka teknik analisisnya juga menggunakan model matematika atau statistik. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan melalui toko buku offline maupun melalui website toko buku online, ditemukan bahwa belum adanya buku panduan makanan anti stunting untuk mengedukasi ibu-ibu sebagai pencegahan bahaya stunting pada anak, yang menjelaskan dengan ilustrasi maupun foto dengan mengangkat resep masakan untuk mencegah bahaya stunting pada anak. Buku panduan “Stunting Pada Anak” ini mempunyai isi yang informatif dan menarik. Buku panduan ini “Cegah Stunting Sebelum Genting : Peran Remaja dalam Pencegahan Stunting” mempunyai isi yang informatif dan lengkap, hanya saja tidak ada penjelasan apa saja makanan stunting.

Abstract

In this study, the logos of the services of the Lembaga Amil Zakat Dompet Amanah Umat (LAZDAU) were analyzed using the semiotic theory by Roland Barthes. Through this analysis, the study shows how visual elements in the logo such as color, shape, and typography, interact to form meaning. The results of the analysis show that these logos not only function as the identity of the institution, but also as an effective visual communication tool. These logos communicate the mission, vision, and values of the institution to the public. This study also shows how a logo can influence public perception of a program or service provided by an institution. In addition to showing the importance of logo design in visual communication, this study provides new insights into how semiotics can be used to understand and analyze the logo of the service that Lembaga Amil Zakat Dompet Amanah Umat (LAZDAU) provides.

Abstract

In the digital era, it's not unusual for us to spend time on social media such as Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok. Since the covid 19 virus broke out in 2020, video content has become more popular than ever, especially short-duration videos. Therefore, many entities are using video content to build their image or promote their brand. LAZDAU as a philanthropic organization can certainly do the same to achieve their goal, which is to help distribute aid to those in need. Therefore, the research on the influence of video content on social media will be specifically aimed at the Reels content on LAZDAU's Instagram account and the correlation with the number of feedbacks they receive

Abstract

Education plays a very important role in building character and improving the quality of the individual. It is inevitable that problems arise in the implementation of learning. One of the problems often encountered in the school environment is the boredom of the students in the classroom. To overcome this, the provision of interesting and enjoyable learning media is seen as a reasonable solution. Although the primary school age is a crucial period, it is necessary to consider how to provide learning materials that are interesting and fun so that students can more easily accept the material taught by the teacher. Through the design thinking research method, stencil is a media or technique that is often used in the application of art, this media was chosen as a learning media to introduce students to stencil and aims as a form of their expression in pouring their creativity into a learning about art.

Abstract

Sidoarjo Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage that is rich in artistic and traditional values. However, awareness of the importance of preserving and promoting batik Jetis, especially among Sidoarjo children, still needs to be increased. This design aims to create a board game with an attractive character design for children aged 7-12 years. In this approach, the author uses qualitative research methods by collecting data through interviews, FGDs, and questionnaires to resource persons and target audiences. The results of this study provide a foundation for the design of character design in board games. The three main characters designed will serve as guides in the game and as supporting elements in the design of board game components. Hopefully, through this board game, Sidoarjo children can learn and get to know batik jetis fun while maintaining and strengthening the existence of their local culture.

Abstract

Currently, the rapid development of technology causes children to use tablets and cellphones more often. This condition can also become worse because children have a higher risk of developing myopic eyes. It is very necessary to provide education regarding eye health, one of which is for children. Cultivating the habit of maintaining eye health from an early age can have a good impact on children's future. Therefore, there is a need for educational media delivered by health institutions such as community health centers to elementary schools when carrying out health screening. So, children can understand how to maintain eye health. The method used is a qualitative method with primary and secondary data collection techniques. Primary data collection is through interviews, observations, Focus Group Discussions and Observations, while secondary data collection is through literature. The result of this design is characters that are used for eye health educational videos using motion graphics techniques.
