Abstract

The probabilistic inventory model is a state of inventory that has uncertainty, but its expected value, variance, and distribution patterns can be predicted. This model can be used to solve inventory problems in the fluctuating demand form. In a postal service provider, inventory shortage in a period can be fulfilled by making back order, so the cost is usually more expensive than regular order. The probabilistic inventory model used to solve the problem is Q back order by assuming that all types of goods in the company are independent. This model can be developed, because basically the goods in the service company are not mutually free but have one form of dependence which is supplier similarity. Based on that, the research was developed using multi item single supplier model by combining several kinds of goods in the procurement process through a tender to select the vendor that offers the cheapest price so it can minimize the purchasing cost and procurement cost, and minimize the total inventory cost. This model would be applied in software applications in order to make model’s performance easier to monitor.

Abstract

Probabilistic inventory model is used mostly in a condition when the demand has uncertainty but the pattern can be predicted, which is the most applicable model in real situation. There are two models considered in the study as the base. In the first previous model, purchase bonus policy was applied to probabilistic inventory model, considering purchase bonus that was given by the supplier. Other model was built considering perishable factor that affect inventory cost based on deterministic demand condition. The purpose of this research is to combine those models, a probabilistic inventory model considering perishable and purchase bonus factors. The model was built for multi item with single supplier case. By comparing the models, it can be concluded that the developed model was comprehensive and applicable in real condition.

Abstract

PT Pos Indonesia, a courier service company, contends with a notably low market share, as indicated by Top Brand data reflecting market proportions over the past five years in Indonesia. This decline in market share is predominantly attributed to subpar service quality. Hence, there is a pressing need to scrutinize PT Pos Indonesia to enhance its service standards for consumers and discern the service attributes requiring maintenance and prioritized improvement. This study employs the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) and Kano method, both of which complement each other synergistically. IPA seeks to unearth insights into service factors influencing customer satisfaction and loyalty, while the Kano model categorizes service attributes based on their capacity to meet customer needs effectively. Additionally, the Kano model identifies areas warranting attention or enhancement, which can augment customer satisfaction. The analysis reveals four attributes classified as defenseless strategy points and one attribute deemed a chronic issue through the amalgamation of IPA and Kano model findings, thereby informing decisions to enhance performance.

Abstract

Abstract[Development of Economic Order Quantity Multi Item Inventory Model by Considering Perishable Factor, All Unit Discount, and Capacity Constraint] Types of consumer product businesses such as minimarkets usually sell several types of products with low volumes and tend to have small fluctuations in demand. There are three things that need to be considered in controlling inventory at minimarkets, namely the possibility of getting a discount if you buy food in bulk, consumer goods that can expire, and the limited capacity they have. The purpose of this study is to develop a multi-item economic order quantity inventory model by considering expiration factors, all unit discounts, and capacity constraints. Model development is carried out by developing a multi-item economic order quantity inventory model by considering expiration and all unit discounts from the previous model, then proceeding to develop a capacity constraint factor using the product demand proportion equation. The developed model will be tested by making changes to the model parameter values to see its sensitivity. From the results of the sensitivity analysis that has been carried out, it was found that the total cost of inventory is sensitive to the unit purchase price of goods. Meanwhile, the time of ordering is sensitive to changes in warehouse capacity. Keywords: economic order quantity; multi item; perishable; all unit discount; capacity constraint.

Abstract

The characteristics considered in this study are probabilistic demand, perishable products, and warehouse constraints for multi-item inventory models. This condition occurs in several industries that consider perishable factors and warehouse constraints, namely companies that produce food, food sales agents, and retail that sell goods to end customers. The Karush-Kuhn-Tucker Condition approach was used to solve the warehouse capacity problem to find the optimum point of a constrained function. The results of the developed inventory model provide two optimal ordering times, namely ordering time-based on warehouse capacity and joint order time, and the two ordering time values will be compared to determine which ordering time is optimal. In addition, the sensitivity analysis to the model was done to analyse the total inventory costs in a planning horizon, the time between goods ordering from one cycle to the next cycle, and the number of items that will expire. The parameters to be changed for the sensitivity test were warehouse constraint, a fraction of good condition goods, holding costs per unit per period, and all unit discount factors. The sensitivity analysis was done to see the behaviour of the total cost, time to order changes, and the quantity of perished products. The result of model testing and sensitivity analysis showed that total cost, based on joint order, is sensitive to the fraction of good condition products, discount, and holding cost.  The joint order was not sensitive to the warehouse capacity. In general, the model was perceived as able to describe the behaviour of the model components.

Abstract

The construction of the Manokwari Substation in West Papua, part of Indonesia’s national strategic infrastructure program, faces geographic, logistical, and human resource challenges that demand high labor productivity to ensure project success. This study aims to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on labor productivity within this construction context. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational ex post facto design, data were collected through a census-based closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 50 active workers involved in the project. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to assess both simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on labor productivity. The results indicate that internal factors, such as work experience, education level, health status, and wages, significantly affect productivity, while age and the number of dependents show no meaningful impact. Conversely, all examined external factors (field conditions, weather, and the implementation of occupational safety and health) significantly contribute to labor productivity. This study offers a substantial theoretical contribution by reinforcing the conceptual framework of labor productivity in the construction sector. It provides practical implications in the form of evidence-based strategies to improve workforce performance. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for policy decisions in managing strategic infrastructure projects, particularly in geographically complex regions like Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

The retail industry such as minimarkets has many products consisting of several types of products that have expiration dates. Their warehouses have limited capacity, making it difficult to make decision about optimum inventory. Most of the suppliers will give permissible delay in payment, that can be used to increase income potential through earned by considering the risk of fines imposed if payments are exceeded and help companies raise capital before generating sales. These three factors must be considered when developing the inventory model. The purpose of this study is to develop a multi-item inventory model by considering perishable or damaged products, permissible delay in payment in limited warehouse. Model development is carried out in 2 stages. The first stage was the development of a multi-item EOQ model by considering product defects and permissible delay in payment. The second stage model is by adding a capacity constraint factor to the model. The results obtained are getting the optimal order quantity by considering the number of product types, product damage factors, late payments in limited warehouses, the best ordering policy can be found, and it is known that the total inventory costs to changes in parameters are good and sensitive to changes in percentage, interest percentage, payment allowances, and warehouse capacity through sensitivity tests.

Abstract

The franchise industry is one of the most prominent businesses in 2024, where Mixue is one of such brands that dominate the F&B franchise sector in the Indonesian market. Although Mixue shows high performance in Indonesia, there are a few exceptions in several regions where some outlets have declined such as Tangerang City, Indonesia. Hence research is needed to see the viewpoint of Mixue Tangerang City's citizens on the marketing mix of Mixue, where the factors are as follows: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. The evaluation is important to help owners adjust their marketing strategy specifically in Tangerang City to help boost citizen's intention to buy Mixue products again in the future (repurchase intention). The research is conducted qualitatively, where the samples used are the customers of Mixue Tangerang who have bought more than once. The response is collected using an online questionnaire, in which they answer using the Likert Scale. The result will be analyzed using the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method using the software SPSS version 26. The research gains 103 Mixue Tangerang City customer respondents. The research shows that the variables of Product, Price, Place, and Promotion have a significant impact on Repurchase Intention simultaneously. Aside from that, the result shows that Product, Place, and Promotion each have a significant partial impact on Repurchase Intention. However, research shows that the Price factor does not have a significant partial impact on Repurchase Intention.
