Abstract

This article used a qualitative method with the approach of study- ing literature in the fields of religious psychology, Islamic psychology, and culture to obtain concepts and theories that are relevant to studies on facing the anxiety and worries caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. The results reveal the COVID-19 outbreak has various impacts on Indo- nesian people, they are encouraged to express optimism, psychological sensitivity, and social piety through various empathical (caring) ways as the implementation of the theology of al-Ma’un. And through tazkiyyatu al-Nafs and dhikr as models to eliminate anxiety and worries caused by COVID-19. Media reporting about COVID-19, besides being informa- tive, also causes anxiety so that sensitivity and social piety of the com- munity are needed. This article explained that through the rites of tazkiyyatu al-Nafs, dhikr, and implementation of al-Ma’un theology de- veloped by KH. Ahmad Dahlan, as well as a collaboration of cultural approaches with the psychology of religion, can reduce the level of anxi- ety, worry, and fear of the people caused by COVID-19.

Abstract

Abstract. This article examines the application of science and culture-based Islamic Education at school and madrasa. This research refers to application of natural science which is related to the Indonesian local culture by giving priority to the values in Islam. This research aims to search for and research about the applied science by pairing or linking it with Indonesian culture. In its process, this research is not directing the learning of Islamic Religious Education to either the  qualitative, quantitative or mix of them, but this learning can use one or even both of them in its learning methodology. This research discusses the application of learning that leads to science and refers to Indonesian culture by considering at Islamic values. It can be referred to as observations of habits taught and practiced in the learning process activities in schools and madrasas. Abstrak. Artikel ini mengkaji penerapan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah dan madrasah yang berbasis sains dan budaya. Penelitian ini mengarah kepada penerapan sains atau ilmu pengetahuan alam yang dikaitkan dengan budaya lokal di Indonesia khususnya dengan mengutamakan nilai-nilai yang ada di dalam Islam. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari dan meneliti tentang ilmu sains yang diterapkan dengan menyandingkan atau mengkaitkan dengan budaya Indonesia. Dalam prosesnya, penelitian ini bukan mengarahkan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada ranah kualitatif dan kuantitatif atau penggabungan namun pembelajaran ini bisa menggunakan salah satu bahkan kedua-duanya dalam metodologi pembelajarannya. Kajian ini membahas penerapan pembelajaran yang mengarah pada sains dan kebudayaan Indonesia dengan melihat nilai-nilai keislaman. Hal it dapat disebut sebagai hasil pengamatan kebiasaan yang diajarkan dan dipraktekkan pada kegiatan proses pembelajaran di sekolah dan madrasah.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the implementation of multicultural education through religious education in schools, especially in the digital era. To reach this research, the relevant literature has been carried out. As a result, Islamic Education is a forum to provide a religious understanding that is inclusive of the community which is ultimately expected to contribute to the formation of a multicultural society with a harmonious life. Multicultural education involves at least three things, namely: a) ideas and awareness of the importance of cultural diversity, b) educational reform movement, and c) process. The learning system of Islamic Education that has multicultural insight should be done by integrating multicultural insights with existing Islamic Education material. The involvement of principals and the government is also needed in providing debriefing or training and the like. The method used must also be packaged in such a way as to condition students to interact with each other in harmony. Likewise, the evaluation process carried out must be based on the principle of fairness objectively rather than subjective certain groups.

Abstract

This study analyzes the experiences of Muslim students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta who work part-time in balancing academic demands, work, and spiritual aspects. Working students often face challenges in time management, fatigue, and conflicts between study and work. This study aims to understand the strategies they use in facing these challenges. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews with five students who work while studying. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation, interview and documentation methods. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques in this study used an interactive model starting from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students developed various adjustment strategies, such as managing a more disciplined schedule, building good communication with superiors, and utilizing an Islamic-based work environment to maintain worship. In addition, Islamic values such as sincerity, tawakal, gratitude, and patience are important factors in helping them overcome the obstacles they face. This research provides insights for working students as well as educational institutions in creating policies and support that can help students balance academics, work, and spirituality.

Abstract

This study entitled efforts to awareness of drug addicts through the value of religiosity in pondok tetirah dhikr Rehabilitation Center yogyakarta. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of religiosity in the rehabilitation of drug addicts, efforts made in regaining awareness of drug addicts, and to determine the inhibiting factors in regaining awareness of drug addicts. This study uses a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis, while the data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction methods, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The research result of this undergraduate thesis writing is that, in implementing the role of religiosity as an effort to rehabilitate, Pondok Tetirah Dzikir refers to regain awareness using the Inabah method or better known in the Tarekat Qadiriyah Naqsabandiyah (TQN). Apart from that, Pondok Tetirah Dzikir, in the implementation of its activities, in the form of a rehabilitation program, the students are taught and accustomed to discipline in worship, activity, and is qualified in the social field. The model used in Pondok Tetirah Dzikir rehabilitation center in coaching drug abusers is by carrying out Islamic methods, such as prayer, dzikir (remembering God), repentance bathing, and another coaching that can support the rehabilitation process. In addition, in implementing the program, there are several inhibiting factors, such as inadequate facilities and infrastructure, lack of support from the parents of students, and minimal government attention.

Abstract

The curriculum is a learning guideline designed to fulfill student education at every school in Indonesia, which aims to create orderly learning and lead to the desired learning outcomes. The function of the curriculum includes organizing, structuring, and designing learning so that it runs effectively and efficiently in the process of learning and teaching in class and out of class. This study aims to understand the preparation, strategies, and factors influencing the implementation of the independent Curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Mujahidin, Wonosari. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The participants included three teachers, a vice principal, a principal, and two students. The data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman's theory, which covers data collection, data reduction, and conclusion. The results of the study show that: 1) The preparation for implementing the curriculum includes the formation of a committee and training through the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as In-House Training (IHT). 2) The strategies for implementation include the role of the school principal, phased implementation of the curriculum, student assessment, the use of differentiated learning strategies, and the development of students' hard skills. 3) The factors influencing the implementation of the curriculum are school facilities and teacher motivation.

Abstract

Background this study is based on the fact that the relationship between school and family plays an important role in the educational process, especially in creating a conducive, supportive, and participatory learning environment. Objective this study aims to explore the role of collaboration between educators and parents in creating an effective learning atmosphere, with a focus on its impact on students' learning motivation and academic success. Research Method This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, where data are collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and distributing questionnaires to educators and parents in several elementary and secondary schools. Results The results of the study indicate that collaboration between teachers as seen from three methods, namely through interviews, observations and filling out questionnaires, there are results that most teachers and parents realize healthy collaboration in order to create children's achievements. Forms of effective collaboration include regular open communication, parental involvement in school activities, and consistent moral and academic support at home. Conclusion of the study: good communication between educators and parents can significantly increase students' learning motivation, build self-confidence, and create synergy between home and school in supporting student growth. However, there are challenges that need to be addressed such as differences in perception between teachers and parents, time constraints, and lack of understanding of technology in digital communication. Based on these findings, it is recommended that schools provide communication training and collaborative capacity building for educators and build an integrated communication system with parents.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping the honesty character of students at SMK Muhammadiyah Denpasar. The background of this research is the rampant practice of academic dishonesty among students, such as cheating and plagiarism, which shows the weak inculcation of honesty values in education. This research aims to understand how PAI teachers instill the value of honesty in students through exemplary and learning based on Islamic values. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data was collected through interviews with the principal and two PAI teachers, as well as observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques include the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that PAI teachers play the role of role models, spiritual guides, and behavioral guides through strengthening Islamic values, learning contracts, and discipline habituation. This study concludes that the role of PAI teachers is very strategic in shaping the honesty character of students, and collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents is the key to its success.

Abstract

Changes in national curriculum policies require substantial adjustments to the quality and relevance of textbooks as the main means of learning. This study aims to analyze comparatively the textbook of Moral Faith class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah which is used in the 2013 Curriculum (K13) and the Independent Curriculum (IKM). The research was conducted with a qualitative approach through a literature study of two textbooks, using a multicomponent approach that includes five main aspects: content, language, presentation, thematic concepts, and evaluation. The results of the study show that K13 books are conceptual and memorization-oriented with a linear approach, while IKM books are more contextual, communicative, and support active learning through the integration of character values and digital features such as QR codes. IKM books also show excellence in presenting materials that are relevant to students' lives and supporting the development of 21st century skills. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the Independent Curriculum book is more responsive to the needs of modern students and more effective in supporting the internalization of the values of faith and morals. These findings contribute to the development of religious textbooks as evaluation and reference materials in designing learning materials that are integrative, applicative, and in line with the spirit of the latest curriculum-based character education.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the Mobile Legends game on learning interest and prayer discipline among Islamic Religious Education students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. As a highly popular game among students, Mobile Legends not only serves as entertainment but also influences academic and spiritual aspects. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenology method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with six active players and participatory observation, both directly and via digital platforms. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis, and validity was ensured through triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal that excessive involvement in playing negatively affects learning interest. Students often postpone studying, lose concentration, and experience reduced academic motivation, particularly when striving for higher in-game rankings. Moreover, gaming habits influence prayer discipline; many respondents admitted to delaying or missing prayers due to gameplay. Some expressed guilt and discomfort after neglecting this religious duty. This phenomenon highlights that without strong self-control and effective time management, Mobile Legends can disrupt students' academic performance and spiritual commitments. Therefore, collective awareness is essential to promote wise technology use, ensuring it supports rather than hinders their primary roles as learners and devout individuals.
