Abstract

Abstract This study discusses the problem of the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on students’ mathematics learning outcomes to see the differences in learning outcomes of those who learn and without applying the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research is a quasi-experiment, the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all class VIII students at MTs Madani Alauddin with a sample of class VIIIA (so the experimental class) and also class VIIIB (so the control class). The instrument applied was an essay test which was then analyzed descriptively as well as inferential. The results of the descriptive posttest calculation showed that student learning outcomes with the PBL model were higher than those who did not apply PBL. Inferential statistical analysis shows that there is a fairly strict difference between learning and the PBL model and not. In this study, using the PBL model can help students develop their knowledge and understand mathematical problems related to everyday life.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Learning Model, Problem Based Learning Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas terkait efektifnya model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan maksud melihat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa yang belajar dengan model pembelajaran PBL dan siswa yang belajar tanpa menggunakan PBL. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis quasi experiment, dengan desain penelitian berupa the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah semua siswa kelas VIII di MTs Madani Alauddin dengan sampel kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIB sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah test bentuk essay yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan juga inferensial. Dari hasil perhitungan posttest secara deskriptif, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan mengaplikasikan model PBL lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar yang tidak mengaplikasikan PBL. Analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang cukup ketat antara pembelajaran dengan mengaplikasikan model PBL dan yang tidak mengaplikasikan PBL. Hasil penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model PBL dapat membantu siswa mengembangkan pengetahuannya serta memahami masalah-masalah matematika yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of project-based learning (PjBL) on critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMA Insan Cendekia Syech Yusuf Gowa. The research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of implementing the PjBL model in enhancing the quality of learning processes oriented toward active, contextual learning, particularly in developing students' critical thinking abilities. The approach employed is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: an experimental class that received a project-based learning model and a control class that used conventional methods. Data were collected through observation, critical thinking skills questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests and MANCOVA to measure differences and assess the model's influence on the dependent variables. The research results indicated that project-based learning was implemented very well, with an average implementation rate of 3.73 on a scale of 4. The average critical thinking skills score increased from 61.90 to 82.38, while the average learning outcomes score increased from 68.81 to 87.24. Statistical analysis demonstrated a significant effect of the PjBL model on the simultaneous improvement of both variables. These findings affirm that PjBL is effectively applied in Islamic Religious Education, as it can develop critical thinking, collaborative, and reflective skills that contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using Canva-based learning media on learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in class III SDIT Al-Insan Pinrang, as well as how it relates to individual learning styles of students. The problem raised is the extent to which the use of Canva media can improve students' learning outcomes compared to PowerPoint media, taking into account visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design, where learners were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group using Canva and the control group using PowerPoint. The research design also involved a 2x3 factorial analysis to see the interaction between learning media and learning styles. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test to measure learning outcomes, as well as a questionnaire to identify learners' learning styles. Hypothesis testing was conducted using two independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Kruskal-Wallis to see the differences between experimental and control groups, as well as differences based on learning styles. The results showed that the use of Canva had a significant effect on PAI learning outcomes, especially for students with visual and kinesthetic learning styles. However, there was no significant difference between the auditory learning style groups using Canva and PowerPoint. This finding reinforces the importance of considering learning styles in choosing learning media, and shows that visual design-based learning media, such as Canva, can increase learners' motivation and active participation, especially in learning that requires greater visual engagement. This research is beneficial for the development of more adaptive and effective learning methods in primary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mastery of Arabic morphemes at MTS Al-Abrar Bulukumba after using the Duolingo application and the Alef Education platform. Furthermore, this study also aims to determine the effect of the interaction between the use of the Duolingo application and the Alef Education platform on students' mastery of Arabic morphemes. Furthermore, this study aims to compare the effectiveness of the two applications in improving students' mastery of Arabic morphemes at MTs Al-Abrar Bulukumba. Employing a comparative quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, the study involved two experimental groups. The findings reveal that both platforms significantly improved students' mastery of Arabic morphemes. However, there was no significant interaction between the time factor (pre-test and post-test) and the group (Duolingo and Alef) in terms of learning outcomes. Notably, a significant difference was found between the two groups, where the use of the Alef Education platform led to higher gains in morpheme mastery compared to Duolingo.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penguasaan morfem bahasa Arab oleh siswa di MTs Al-Abrar Bulukumba setelah menggunakan aplikasi Duolingo dan platform Alef Education. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh interaksi antara penggunaan aplikasi Duolingo dan platform Alef Education terhadap penguasaan morfem bahasa Arab oleh siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas kedua aplikasi tersebut dalam meningkatkan penguasaan morfem bahasa Arab oleh siswa di MTs Al-Abrar Bulukumba. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif dengan desain kelompok kontrol pra-uji dan pasca-uji kuasi-eksperimental, penelitian ini melibatkan dua kelompok eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua platform secara signifikan meningkatkan penguasaan morfem bahasa Arab oleh siswa. Namun, tidak ada interaksi yang signifikan antara faktor waktu (pra-uji dan pasca-uji) dan kelompok (Duolingo dan Alef) dalam hal hasil belajar. Yang perlu diperhatikan, ditemukan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok, di mana penggunaan platform Alef Education menghasilkan peningkatan penguasaan morfem yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Duolingo.
