Abstract

The problems that occur to Muslims in the world including Indonesia are somewhat complex. Muslims are still in a circle of poverty. At the same time there is a gap between the lives of elite, Muslim leaders and the fate of most Muslims. This research was conducted to find out how important the role of dakwah bil hal (preaching by action) compared to oral preaching by preachers, preachers in Indonesia. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods that collect data by observation, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD). From the research conducted, it was found that dakwah bil hal must be done in a balanced manner and in tandem with oral preaching, does not need to be dichotomized between the two. Both methods of da'wah must go hand in hand. Dakwah bil hal the case especially in the economic field increases the ability and independence of Muslims. Henceforth will increase the human resources of Muslims, away from backwardness. This has relevance to the theory of uses and gratification theory proposed by Elihu Katz, Jay G. Blumler and Michael Gurevitch. More serious and systematic efforts are needed by Muslim leaders, Muslim organizations in carrying out preaching activities. So that there is no gap between the lives of Muslim leaders, administrators of Islamic organizations and Muslims generallyPersoalan yang terjadi pada kaum muslim di dunia termasuk Indonesia terbilang komplek.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the role of Da’i personality traits in mapping the level of mental health of orphans based on the perspective of the Qur’an. This study used a qualitative approach involving thirty-four orphans aged 12–18, comprising 55% girls and 45% boys. Data were collected by exploring children’s experiences during the first three years since losing their father. The results showed that the first year is the most difficult time mentally for children, especially related to anxiety, stress, and communication disorders. This condition is influenced by physical, emotional, and social factors, and the absence of the father’s role. In this situation, a Da’i with an empathetic, communicative, and spiritual personality must provide guidance and a sense of security. As mentioned in QS, the Qur’an emphasizes the importance of caring for weak children. An-Nisa: 9. In the second year, the children’s mental condition has not shown significant improvement. Peers become the main emotional support, while a Da’i acts as a spiritual companion who helps children understand the meaning of loss and deal with the pressures of life, especially in the context of underprivileged families. QS. Al-Hujurat: 10 underlines the importance of social support in building solidarity and mental strength. Entering the third year, the child’s mental condition is greatly influenced by the experiences of the previous two years. Children who receive emotional support and spiritual guidance from a Da’i are more stable and mentally strong. This study confirms the importance of Da’i’s personality, such as patience, wisdom, and compassion, in accompanying orphans so that they continue to grow healthily, confidently, and do not lose hope, as in line with the principles of QS. Ar-Ra’d: 11.

Abstract

Khilafiyah, or differences of opinion in Islam, is an inherent phenomenon in the history of Islamic thought. This study aims to explore the dynamics of khilafiyah and its contributions to enriching the Islamic intellectual tradition. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, this research examines classical and contemporary sources to identify the causes of differences of opinion, the methodological frameworks of scholars, and the relevance of khilafiyah in addressing modern issues. Findings indicate that khilafiyah not only broadens the intellectual horizons of Muslims but also serves as a crucial foundation for the development of disciplines such as fiqh, usul fiqh, hadith studies, and theology. Amidst the challenges of globalization and pluralism, khilafiyah remains relevant as an adaptive and solution-oriented tool for contextual ijtihad. However, critical awareness is needed to prevent polarization of the ummah due to the misuse of differences. Thus, khilafiyah must be understood as an intellectual heritage that reinforces the values of moderation, tolerance, and diversity within the framework of ummah unity.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between conservative Islamic thought and the state in Indonesia, tracing its evolution from early Islamic political ideals to contemporary dynamics within the nation-state. Through a qualitative literature-based analysis, the research examines key historical milestones, including the role of Islam in anti-colonial resistance, the Jakarta Charter debate, the Konstituante period, and the post-Reformasi landscape. Drawing on primary scholarly sources, the study highlights how Islamic values—such as justice (‘adl), consultation (shura), and public welfare (maslahah)—have continually interacted with national political developments. While the formal inclusion of syari’ah within the constitution remains contested, Islam’s influence endures through cultural, educational, and institutional channels. The study concludes that a contextualized and inclusive interpretation of Islam offers significant potential for contributing to national unity, ethical governance, and democratic resilience in Indonesia.
